But quickly, Fu Yang seed to think of sothing. With a slight lift of his chin, he looked back at Fu Siyu defiantly, "What now? You want to hit ?"

Fu Siyu frowned, about to say sothing, when the sound of high heels echoed from the doorway. It was evident that Shu Wan had returned.

With a snort, Fu Yang turned and went upstairs.

Shu Wan entered the living room just in ti to see Fu Yang storming up the stairs, and with Fu Siyu sitting on the sofa watching Fu Yang’s retreating figure, she knew that a conflict had surely erupted between father and son before she had returned.

"You’re back."

Fu Siyu turned around, his expression had returned to calm, and his gaze at Shu Wan was quite gentle.

"Did you guys argue again?" Shu Wan said, her eyes slightly curved, as if she found the scene of the two arguing quite amusing.

"Not really an argunt."

Fu Siyu stood up and gestured for the servants to leave. He walked over and helped Shu Wan with her coat.

In her past life, all of Shu Wan’s needs were taken care of by dedicated staff. So, while she found Fu Siyu’s actions sowhat strange psychologically, her body, operating ahead of her mind, had already handed over the coat to him.

The coat was already handed over; taking it back now would seem even weirder, so Shu Wan simply did not bother.

The dining room was already set with food, just waiting for Shu Wan to return so they could have dinner.

However, the servant called out twice, and Fu Yang refused to co down to eat.

"Young master, Young Madam, the Young Master says he’s not hungry."

"Then let’s just eat, the two of us."

Fu Siyu’s gaze flickered, knowing full well that Fu Yang wasn’t really un-hungry; he probably just didn’t want to share a table with him.

"Alright."

Shu Wan took her seat, thought for a mont, then spoke again, "Fu Yang seems quite upset this ti."

Actually, Fu Siyu had returned to the country several tis before, and although Fu Yang didn’t really care for him, he hadn’t been as emotionally intense as this ti.

"I know why," Fu Siyu smiled at Shu Wan, "Don’t worry, I’ll handle it. You just eat."

"Okay."

Since Fu Siyu had said so, Shu Wan did not ask further.

In Shu Wan’s past life experiences, although she had shared rooms, als, and life with n, it was always in a military camp with many people.

Living together with soone like a real married couple, as she did now with Fu Siyu, had never been experienced by Shu Wan before.

Yet strangely, although Fu Siyu could be very intimidating, and he did not seem an easy man to get along with, living under the sa roof with him, and even expecting to do so for a long ti in the future, Shu Wan did not feel uncomfortable.

While Shu Wan was lost in thought, her gaze unknowingly rested on Fu Siyu, who was sitting opposite her.

Fu Siyu’s pace of chewing his food gradually slowed down, and eventually, he stopped, looking at Shu Wan sowhat helplessly, "Would you like so soup?"

"Ah, yes," Shu Wan replied subconsciously.

Then, Fu Siyu personally served Shu Wan a bowl of soup.

The two of them ate quietly downstairs, while upstairs, Fu Yang cupped his sunken stomach, on the verge of a breakdown from hunger.

The school cafeteria food wasn’t very good, he hadn’t eaten much at noon and had played basketball in the afternoon. Fu Yang was extrely hungry.

He had been hoping to have a sumptuous dinner that night, but Fu Siyu had returned in the afternoon unexpectedly.

Fu Yang couldn’t help rolling his eyes. He felt that he and Fu Siyu were sohow fundantally at odds. He didn’t understand why Fu Siyu had to co back; wouldn’t it be better for the two of them to stay out of each other’s sight by staying in different countries?

Fu Yang knew that after dinner, Shu Wan would usually go back to her bedroom to read or play on her phone, and Fu Siyu would likely go to his study to work.

So, he planned to wait until both of them were upstairs, then sneak down to the first floor to get sothing to eat.

Just as Fu Yang had expected, half an hour later, Shu Wan and Fu Siyu went upstairs, and the housekeeper and servants, having finished cleaning up, also left the main building to return to their quarters in the adjacent lodgings.

Fu Yang tiptoed down the stairs and snuck into the kitchen to search around.

Opening the fridge, he imdiately felt annoyed.

The Estate fridge didn’t really store much food, as all the ingredients used there were delivered fresh daily.

As for snacks, only Shu Wan enjoyed them. For her convenience, the housekeeper had specially arranged to have two huge fridges placed outside her bedroom, and all the snacks were moved there.

As Fu Yang closed the fridge, he wondered where else there could be food. But when he looked up, he saw Fu Siyu standing in the kitchen doorway.

How annoying.
