Shu Wan’s classes went smoothly; both teachers and students were friendly toward her.
On the other side, things weren’t going well for Fu Yang; he had gotten into a fight with a classmate right after the first class ended.
Fu Yang had trained specially, so by the ti the teachers ca to break up the fight, the student he had fought was already kicked to the ground by him.
"Teacher, Lin Yang is hitting ! Save , I can’t breathe," the student on the ground cried for help as he saw the teachers and classmates approaching, clutching his throat.
"Let’s talk this out calmly. Lin Yang, let go first. You’re classmates; don’t make it this ugly," the teacher stepped forward and pulled Fu Yang away.
Fu Yang glanced disdainfully at the classmate lying on the ground, feigning death, and walked away.
"Teacher, it hurts so much," the male student cried, holding the area around his heart, "I have a hereditary heart condition, I think I’m dying."
The claim sent a wave of panic among the teachers.
An ambulance arrived quickly and took the student to the hospital.
The teachers wanted to follow, but the student was a wealthy second-generation, and several bodyguards took him away without giving the school any chance to visit.
Fu Yang was a hot topic online, and on his first day back at school, dia reporters had staked out the school entrance, ready to cover news about him and Shu Wan.
Unexpectedly, they struck gold with the news of Fu Yang sending soone to the hospital.
The dia, well-aware of the netizens’ love for gossip, quickly posted the news online.
Sure enough, it wasn’t long before the news that Fu Yang had sent a classmate to the ICU on his first day back was all over the internet.
There were many witnesses on the scene, and videos and pictures were leaked online.
In the videos, Fu Yang was seen standing against the wall, his eyes half-closed, lost in thought when suddenly, he opened his eyes and swung a punch at a male classmate standing next to him.
The male classmate was quite overweight, but that was nothing against Fu Yang’s strength; the boy fell to the ground, clutching his stomach in pain.
"Although... my attention has been stolen by the sight of Lin Yang in a school uniform... How can soone be so handso? He truly is like a young poplar tree."
"The person above, could you please have so sense of right and wrong? No matter how good-looking they are, what good is there in hitting soone at random? Didn’t you hear? They sent soone to the ICU."
"From the looks of the video, it was just one punch... It looks painful, but it doesn’t seem severe enough for the ICU..."
Right when the fans of "Palace Intrigue" and "Yun Ni" were in a fierce online battle, this news broke, and naturally, Shu Wan got dragged into it.
Netizens speculated wildly that it was Shu Wan who had led Fu Yang astray.
After morning classes, Shu Wan walked out of the school gate and received a call from Fu Yang’s horoom teacher; she turned and headed over to Affiliated High School.
"So, you’re Lin Yang’s guardian now?"
"Let’s Go Together" was very popular, and the teachers were part of the show’s audience; they were quite happy to see Shu Wan.
"Yes, where is he now?"
"He’s in the classroom; I’ve already sent soone to call him over."
As soon as the teacher finished speaking, Fu Yang appeared at the office door.
With his hands in his pockets, he glanced at Shu Wan and walked in with an indifferent expression, sitting directly on the sofa in the office, "What did you want to see for?"
"It’s like this."
The teacher quite liked Shu Wan and Fu Yang from the variety shows, but now that Fu Yang had actually hit soone, the teacher still had to deal with it impartially.
"Lin Yang just had a conflict with a classmate nad Zhou Ming, and he doesn’t want to speak about the specifics. Now Zhou Ming claims he has had a heart condition episode, and you will need to take responsibility for the subsequent compensation matters."
After hearing the teacher’s words, Shu Wan looked at Fu Yang, "Did sothing like this happen?"
"I was the one who hit him," Fu Yang admitted directly.
Shu Wan then turned to the teacher, "I’ll send soone to negotiate the compensation matters with them. I’ll take Lin Yang back first."
"Okay."
The teacher had intended to pull Shu Wan aside to criticize Fu Yang, but with Shu Wan standing there, there was an undeniable sense of pressure, so much so that even the teacher, accustod to giving orders, felt uncomfortable and just wanted to hurry and send Shu Wan away.
Shu Wan took Fu Yang and left the school but did not ask Fu Yang why he had hit soone.
It wasn’t until Fu Yang couldn’t hold back and asked, "Why aren’t you scolding ?"
"Why would I scold you?" Shu Wan raised her eyebrows slightly.
"I hit soone."
"That must be because he provoked you first," Shu Wan knew Fu Yang quite well; although he was quick-tempered, he was still Fu Siyu’s son with inherent pride and wouldn’t go looking for trouble.
Fu Yang was sowhat surprised, just about to say sothing, when Shu Wan added, "But hitting soone is wrong, and we must separate the two issues."
"He provoked with his nasty words; I just taught him a lesson," Fu Yang retorted, not too willing to concede.
"There are many ways to teach soone a lesson," Shu Wan took a sip of water, "This ti, you were in the wrong."
"Fine," Fu Yang pouted, "So what now? The person has been hit."
"Did you hit him hard?" Shu Wan asked doubtfully, "How co the news I saw said he was admitted to the ICU?"
"What are you talking about, I just threw one punch, and there was a carpet on the ground, how hard could he fall?"
"I understand," Shu Wan nodded, "You’re banned from playing gas for this week."
"..."
Had it been anyone else, Fu Yang would have resisted; he felt he was not wrong, so why should he accept punishnt.
But when he thought about what Shu Wan had said at the school, "I’ll take responsibility," Fu Yang silently accepted her arrangent.
After the fans of the two TV dramas had been fighting for so long, and with various trending posts maligning "Yun Ni" cropping up incessantly, coupled with lackluster plot developnts on the fourth night, the viewership for "Yun Ni" was clearly lower than "Palace Intrigue."
The fans of "Palace Intrigue" were overjoyed, celebrating and mocking "Yun Ni."
[Tsk tsk, could it be that they ran out of money to buy ratings? How co they’ve just caught up and already fallen again, do you need us to donate so money for you to buy ratings?]
[I’ve always said it, Shu Wan’s family lacks integrity, what good could co from them making a show, their true colors are revealed now, hilarious.]
[Shu Wan should just go back to washing her old man’s feet, TV dramas aren’t for you, please avoid appearing in such projects funded by capital in the future, it’s an eyesore, thank you.]
For the general audience, early public opinion is very important. No matter how good a drama is, if it receives bad reviews, the general public won’t be willing to check it out, and that’s of no help at all.
At this point, what’s needed is a definite selling point that can attract viewers to tune into the drama.
Soon enough, that attraction arrived.
Because on the fifth night, the character played by Shu Wan, Su Wan, made her first appearance.
