I had long ago deactivated Elental Sight out of fear of losing any more ti particles, so it looked like she was just running around aimlessly below.

In reality, she was probably following an elental particle track.

While this competition could be said to be luck-based, as if you just guessed the right elental particle path, you’d find the mana, I disagreed.

When murders or cris take place in the capital city, where thousands of awakened and enlightened people live, the Royal Family’s forces are able to track down the criminals.

Despite the millions of elental particles in the city, the investigators can track the lingering mana particles left by the murderer.

Are they lucky? No.

Simply put, elental sight wasn’t as simple as it seed.

Probably, another reason why Snape started the first day of classes with this competition.

Sighing, I shook my head and watched as Mira scaled one of the trees of the jungle, inching close to the glass ground I was standing on.

In my opinion, despite her exhaustion and lack of ability to sense mana like the prince and princess, she was the second most likely to win the competition.

Sighing and turning my head around to face the staircase, I saw a familiar figure enter the plains environnt.

The most likely to win was, of course, the protagonist.

With no partner by her side, she walked up and down the small hills, sotis jumping and attempting to touch the glass ground of the floor above.

Snapping out of my thoughts, a sudden pressure gripped my shoulders while a voice simultaneously sounded.

"Hmmm? Her?"

Looking back at Zeke with a dead-serious expression, I answered without any emotion.

"She’ll win."

Instantly, Zeke’s eyebrows raised, and his eyes locked onto her figure.

Originally, Evangel had so trouble with the royal faction due to Xero’s actions during the second sester.

She had "taken" one of the spots in the Imperial class that was ant for a royal faction mber, so the faction’s attention had been placed on her.

But perhaps with Zeke knowing her worth and stopping Xero, that could change.

Maybe, she wouldn’t have to face the pranks that bordered on breaking the rules and the disgusting rumors the royal faction would spread about her.

Maybe, she wouldn’t have her door banged on every night by, as the academy would call them, "Unknown students," preventing her from even sleeping.

Maybe, she wouldn’t have to feel powerless and isolated in the Imperial class when she complained to teachers about Xero’s actions, and they did nothing.

Maybe, this ti around, she could sleep, relax, eat, and most importantly, have a normal school experience in the Imperial class.

As Zeke’s gaze lingered on Evangel’s figure with a curious expression, I sank back down onto the ground, sitting atop one of the hills.

Should I have said that? After all, she was my enemy, so allowing her to suffer would help her.

Interrupting my thoughts, another voice sounded from in front of .

"Zeke, co on, the floor is clear...wait, is that you, Jett?"

Reopening my eyes, I stared at Liam, who practically glowed with confidence and leadership under the sun’s rays.

"I heard about your win yesterday. You should have seen Zeke’s face. He scread at for not letting him compete."

Shaking his head and turning around to face us, Zeke groaned and muttered.

"If he can, why can’t I?"

Of course, Liam didn’t answer this question out loud, but everyone already knew the answer.

Looking at Liam, the future de facto leader of the Imperial dorm, I locked onto his light-blue eyes.

Originally, until the second sester, no one in the school knew Evangel’s identity as the hero.

Only the emperor and the four grand dukes would know.

At the start of the second year of Glaive, the prince and princess would be notified of Evangel’s real role.

However, with the plot changes I had made, like leaving the forr hero’s body in the cathedral, that could have happened already.

Did he know?

If he did, it could an trouble.

Despite his kind and laid-back appearance, Liam was, of course, clever and scheming, willing to do anything to achieve his goal of becoming emperor.

Having Evangel, the hero, on his side could massively aid him in gaining supporters from the public.

Perhaps, not noticing my gaze or simply ignoring it, Liam pointed at the stairs up and continued.

"Well, it was nice seeing you, Jett. Best of luck in this."

As Liam walked forward, Zeke remained still and, when Liam looked back with an annoyed expression, he replied.

"If he’s here, then the particle has to be nearby, no? He beat the twins in the mana gathering competition; this should be light work for him."

"...?"

At this point, I realized that Zeke’s complints earlier weren’t sarcastic but actually serious.

Pausing before the stairs, Liam instantly answered in an emotionless tone.

"Are you suggesting I missed sothing?"

Avoiding eye contact, Zeke looked at the hills around us and replied.

"I’m just saying, maybe we missed sothing here."

Sighing and squinting his eyes, Liam walked to the edge of the floor and said before beginning to search again.

"Five minutes. Then, we move."

Smirking and looking down at , Zeke said in an amused tone, clearly not expecting a response.

"So, any clues?"

Once again, I pointed at Evangel’s figure, who was on the opposite side of the floor from this, and said.

"Didn’t I tell you?"

Calling my bluff, Zeke nodded his head and smiled before taking a step in Evangel’s direction.

Then, he took another step...and another step.

Was he bluffing?

Another step...there were now fewer than five separating him from Evangel.

Turning back to face , Zeke smiled and mouthed.

"Anything else to say?"

Holding my breath, I shook my head and waved my hand at him, urging him to continue forward.

Just as Zeke took another step forward, a sudden voice sounded from...below ?.
