"Why should I help you!?"

Commanding one of my clones to jump out of the trees and land in front of Mira, I yelled back simultaneously.

"Don’t you want to win?"

Despite a displeased groan, a mont later, a voice finally sounded.

"Use your mana. Allow a small liquid portion of it to drip out of your hands and onto the elental particles."

"..."

How could I tell her I had no idea how to even do that?

I’d figure out a way...or not.

Nodding my head, I rushed through the arc-shaped entrance to the coliseum, imdiately being t with two differing paths.

One pathway was larger and wider, leading upward toward the coliseum seating area, while the other was small and thin, downward sloping.

Running downward into the smaller path, I was imdiately t with another intersection, as I could go either left or right.

This choice, however, didn’t matter as the hallway was circular around the coliseum’s arena, so I would end up in the sa place if I walked long enough anyway.

Turning right, I sprinted forward through the curving circular-shaped hallway until finally a large opening appeared on the right wall.

Heading into the opening, I was imdiately t with countless benches, water bottles, and various snacks, prepared for participants.

Ignoring them, I continued walking forward until finally another arc-shaped hole ca into sight.

Beyond the arch-shaped exit, I could see the soft and cool ground of the coliseum’s battle arena.

As I walked out of the hallway and into the very middle of the coliseum, the phoenix’s fireball shone directly above , illuminating my figure in a light blue.

All around , thousands of empty seats stood, stretching up to the sky, and the arena’s elevated walls surrounded , preventing from escaping.

Positioning myself directly below the fireball, I raised my right hand the highest I could and steeled my mind, attempting to command my mana.

Yet, nothing responded.

No matter how hard or much I told my brain to move my mana toward my right palm, everything remained the sa.

Just like how you can’t willingly command your blood as a human, mana is seemingly uncontrollable.

Sighing, as I realized ti was quickly running out, I tried to recall how Evangel had unlocked the ability to manipulate mana.

Currently, only three people within the first year could control mana at will.

Evangel, Liam, and Charlotte.

Of course, none of them had close to enough control to surround and augnt their bodies, but they could, at least, form a droplet of mana.

The other Imperial class students, like Zeke, could freely use their elental particles, but that was different.

They had all inherited elents from their wealthy and influential parents, so at a young age, they all had been taught by their family how to manipulate their elents.

Mana was different, however.

The way to break through and control it couldn’t be taught, as like a gift, it was different for each person.

Evangel had broken through at the sa ti as her enlightennt through her near-death experience with the troll.

She had skipped countless steps and imdiately used a magical sword slash, which required you to surround your sword with mana.

Taking a deep breath, I discarded all the distracting thoughts within my head and focused on my body.

The slight vibration every ti my heart beat, the constant and fast-paced movent of blood through my body, and the sound of my own thoughts.

I tried to imagine the inside of my body, recreating a holographic image of it in front of .

How had I survived up until now?

Through the abuse of my stat nu.

Whether it was Devil’s transformation that saved from the hero’s army or the holographic figure that allowed to beat Kratos in the fight, my wins always stemd from hidden and overpowered abilities.

I didn’t truly know how to rely on myself because when I was in a pinch, one of my lines of text on my stats nu would co to the rescue.

*Thump-thump*

*Thump-thump*

As my heart rate rapidly increased, an idea suddenly popped into my head.

While I couldn’t directly control blood through my brain’s actions, I could indirectly influence it.

Naturally, blood flows to wherever the body is damaged, so if I cut my hand, blood would rush there to repair the skin cells.

Was there perhaps a way to indirectly influence mana, then?

At that mont, a sudden voice echoed from the seats above , filling up the entire silent coliseum.

"I’M HERE!"

Snapping out of my trance, I confusedly and fearfully looked upward, seeing a familiar figure standing in the closest row to the arena.

What would I tell her, now?

Before I could even think of a response, the voice sounded again, much louder, firr, and filled with desperation.

"REMBER WHAT I SAID."

Bewildered, I gazed at her for a mont before a phrase crossed my mind.

Mana flocks to elental particles.

"...?"

While the words were informative...and true, they didn’t help in the slightest.

Unlike the royals, who had received comprehensive teachings from their parents on controlling their elents, I had nothing.

Not only that...but my elent was one of a kind.

No one in the world could teach how to use it; I would have to figure it all out by myself.

Just then, I felt my entire body shake, not from fear or coldness, but anger.

Yet, again, I was going to start sothing without finishing it.

If I hadn’t done anything, both Mira and I would have been sitting at the dining table with everyone else in the Imperial dorm.

If I hadn’t let my emotions get the best of and not talked to Evangel, she wouldn’t have had to go through the pain of being left for no reason again.

I never saw things through to the end.

Back on Earth, it was the sa.

Instead of working hard and persevering, I would quit when faced with defeat.
