The ga was quite simple; I had played it many tis with my friends when I was young.

Receive and hit the ball toward soone else, or you’re out

Of course, I had played with a balloon, not so ball made out of lightning mana.

Though seeing Zeke easily control and shape his mana, I was sowhat disheartened.

I had completely focused on my swordmanship talent and skills, ignoring my mana skills and abilities.

As an enlightened and awakened being, the only thing that made special from any normal human was my ability to possess mana.

Shaking my head, I watched Zeke rush his hand forward, releasing the lightning-purple mana ball from his hands as if he were a pitcher throwing a baseball.

Like a fastball, the mana ball flew straight at Liam’s stomach incredibly fast.

The rules stated that you couldn’t catch the ball or hit it more than once, and Liam obviously knew he wasn’t going to be able to control the ball with his stomach and waist.

Thus, in an incredible display of athleticism, Liam leaped into the air so that his two feet were now at the height of the ball.

Then, soonhow defying gravity for a second, Liam floated in the air, and just as the lightning ball approached him, he cocked his leg back.

Then, like a defender clearing an oncoming ball in a soccer match, Liam kicked his leg forward, redirecting the ball in the direction of Zeke.

I wasn’t quite sure whether to feel happy or sad that they had forgotten about .

However, at that mont, a voice suddenly sounded from beside , imdiately snapping out of my thoughts.

"SET !"

Before I could even respond, a lightning purple ball was flying towards , in a nice and clean arc like a volleyball.

Taking my ti due to the slow speed of the ball, I stretched both my arms out in front of and interlocked my fists, placing my left thumb over my right thumb.

Then, as I simply waited for the ball, a holographic line suddenly appeared beneath it, connecting the ball to the floor.

Placing my interlocked hands in the middle of the holographic line, I simply waited until the ball hit my thumbs.

Bouncing off my interlocked hands like a bouncy ball, the volleyball flew back into the air, going back in the exact sa direction that it ca.

Seeing this, Zeke gave up all formality and leaped onto the couch we were sitting on, not minding how his shoes were ssing up the expensive leather.

Pushing his shoes down on the furniture, making it quite literally sink into the floor, Zeke then leaped up into the air like a tiger with his right hand parallel to his head.

Probably using tempo, he simply closed his eyes, and just as the purple ball flew past him, staying by his body for a single second, his right hand surged forward.

Spiking the ball mid-air like a true volleyball player, Zeke sent the ball flying at an even faster speed toward Liam.

Caught off guard by our cooperation, Liam could only hopelessly raise his hands and feet as the ball barreled towards his kneecaps.

However, it was too fast to control.

Seemingly noticing this, Liam stepped to the side at the last mont, avoiding getting his kneecaps broken by the ball.

Yet...just for a second, I saw him hesitate.

Perhaps my left eye was deceiving , but a faint blue hue had surrounded his kneecaps before he stepped away.

There was no way he already partially knew mana strengthening, right?

*BANG*

As the ball collided with the couch behind Liam, a deafening sound echoed throughout the common room, contrasting greatly with the light piano playing in the background.

Not minding the ss that he just created, Zeke walked towards Liam with a smile and said.

"A bet’s a bet. Now, pay up!"

Sitting down on the couch, which was on life support, Liam placed his palm to his forehead and said.

"I don’t get what you find so entertaining about talking to my sister."

Of course, Liam didn’t know, but I did.

Zeke, the grand duke of the North’s son, actually seed to enjoy Celebi’s presence, the daughter of the emperor.

He was sending Liam in a test drone to scout the area and gather information.

Ignoring the amount of irony and stupidity, I sympathetically gazed at Liam; however, he imdiately burst out.

"Don’t pity ! You, yes YOU! caused this."

Shrugging my shoulders, I simply responded.

"I was going to help whoever helped first."

Nodding his head in agreent, Liam leaned back on the couch before finally giving in to Zeke’s prodding and standing up.

He was like a dead man walking off the plank in a pirate movie.

As Liam passed by the winding staircase in the middle of the room and walked towards the couches where the girls were sitting, Zeke intently stared while I relaxed on my couch.

*STEP*

*STEP*

A mont later, the sound of steps began echoing from what seed to be the third floor, attracting my attention.

Discreetly gazing at the highest part of the staircase visible, I watched as a male and female figure both descended.

Both were children of influential figures within the ruling class of the empire, so I sighed and turned away.

In the distance, I could see Liam now awkwardly standing by the couches with the girls, clearly attempting to provoke his sister.

In contrast to his calm and kind gaze from earlier, Liam now wore a smug expression as he stared down at his sister.

Although I couldn’t hear what he was saying, it had to be sothing along the lines of, "I’m better than you. The future emperor spot is mine!"

As the two new figures reached the bottom of the staircase, Liam finally turned away and walked toward us.

The female newcor split off and headed towards Celebi’s group while the male one followed after Liam, joining us.

Turning toward before Liam and the newcor rejoined us, Zeke paused and stared at .
