The blue circle below of the two of us began shining brighter than the sun, instantly causing to close my eyes.
Then, as I reopened my eyes, I found myself outside the towering Imperial dormitory with Professor Snape by my side.
Not sparing a glance, the professor simply stepped onto the magic circle right in front of the dormitory, disappearing a mont later.
Pausing, I turned back, seeing countless fireworks now shooting up into the sky, and more blue particles beginning to form.
Behind , countless late students sprinted past the Imperial dormitory and onto the academy’s main street, attempting to find a decent spot amongst the crowd of students.
My head, now aching even worse due to the sudden teleportation, practically begged to stay still, but unfortunately, I had to step forward onto the magic circle.
Pushing back my ruffled and dirty amber-brown hair, I yawned and moved forward, instantly feeling my surroundings distort.
A warm feeling instantly overwheld my body, overpowering the coldness I had just felt outside, and the extravagant diamond chandelier suddenly appeared before , temporarily blinding .
Thankfully, no sound like a " *knock* "played when soone entered the dorms; only the paper on the wall behind would change to match your na and room number.
In front of , the dorm’s common room now had a completely different environnt.
Instead of being empty and sowhat artificial due to all the expensive furniture, I now felt like I had just entered a housewarming party.
An ambient mood encapsulated the room as the sound of a calming piano piece echoed throughout, imdiately entering my ears.
Looking towards the piano seat, I was surprised to see it completely empty.
Self-playing pianos?
Every ti a key fell, pressed down by so invisible force, a light-blue shine would emit above it before instantly disappearing and reappearing above the next key.
The wooden floors and walls shone under the chandelier’s multiple lights, making the room feel like a ski cabin.
Sighing, I glanced to the right, where a large dining table, already set up with plates and utensils, lay.
No one was there.
In fact, throughout the entire common room, there was not a single figure visible.
No surprise here...Professor Snape had lied.
At that mont, a voice suddenly echoed from in front of .
"The festivities start in twenty minutes; make yourself presentable."
Seemingly noticing the defiance in my gaze as I walked toward the staircase, Professor Snape added on.
"I won’t be here to check, but I’ll know."
Raising my hands in surrender, I ignored him and walked up the winding staircase, eventually reaching my room.
Without wasting a second, I removed my clothes and hopped in the shower, instantly feeling my fatigue fade away as the hot water rushed against my skin.
After making sure to clean every part of my body, I stepped out of the shower; however, all that awaited was a dirty and disgusting academy uniform.
Wrapping a towel around my waist, I was once again reminded that I no longer had my trusty cloak.
I should get it back soon...
Walking out of the bathroom, letting water from my wet hair drip onto the floor below, I found the closet in the room, seeing at least seven pairs of new academy uniforms awaiting .
As I put on a white collared shirt, red blazer, and black jeans, the sound of footsteps going down the winding stairs echoed outside.
Seeing myself in the mirror, I chuckled upon seeing a small phoenix, in the shape of a circle, atop the right side of my blazer.
This academy was way too focused on small details.
Grabbing a bottle of cold water from the fridge in my room, I quenched my thirst, feeling my mana also slowly return to .
During the fight, I constantly used my blood-red right eye for information, causing my mana supply to decrease exponentially.
However, fortunately, the sword ability I had used to speed up and hit Raven first didn’t cost any mana.
I already had enough things draining my small reserves with the ring on my finger.
Rather, it had cost energy.
Upon using it once, I had collapsed to the ground, almost falling asleep, and lost all my breath.
Feeling sowhat refreshed, I hesitated in front of my door for a couple of seconds before reluctantly opening it.
Before I could even exit my room through the open door, the door of the room opposite suddenly cracked open.
A familiar figure, now dressed in the formal academy uniform, appeared a second later, walking down the staircase to the first floor.
The grand duke of North’s son seed to be my next-door neighbor.
Finally leaving the safety of my room, mostly due to Professor Snape’s threatening words, I also headed down the staircase, hearing the sound of the self-playing piano echo once again.
It felt like I was walking into a room full of wolves.
None of these people could ever be my friends due to their extensive and influential backgrounds.
These were the top prospects within the magical world, and they would all go on to beco powerful figures that could take down hundreds of soldiers in one blow.
Thus, they were destined to face .
The demon king.
What is the reason people train and get stronger?
While people had their individual interests like receiving money or acquiring influence, the main reason for most people was to protect their country.
And, as the demon king, I was inherently seen as an invader.
No matter how much explaining or negotiating I attempted to do, the horns on my head were all people would care about.
Touching down on the floor of the common room, I imdiately spotted the grand duke of the North’s son sitting on a couch across from the emperor’s son.
The future emperor and grand duke of North.
What luck I had!
Beside , they were the only two people down.
