"hurry u-"
Interrupting mid-sentence, Evangel suddenly stood up and leaned across the bar top, reaching her free hand towards the bottles of alcohol on the other side.
However, halting a few inches before the bottles, her hand suddenly dipped, disappearing from my sight before reerging a couple of monts later.
Bringing her hand, which was now in a fist, back toward us, Evangel looked down at the mochi in her right hand and opened her left palm.
And there, lying in her left palm, was a plastic fork.
Tossing the fork to , Evangel slowly stepped away from before saying.
"Try to get it."
Then, as those words reverberated through the empty first floor, she suddenly jumped over the bar top, landing in the area where a bartender usually worked.
Just wanting to go to sleep, I gripped the fork, angling the sharp points so they were directly facing the mochi.
Then, without any hesitation, I stabbed the fork in a slanted line downward; however, before my fork could even cross the bar top, Evangel moved.
Keeping her right palm with the mochi facing the ceiling, Evangel side-stepped to my right, forcing to change the trajectory of my fork.
With the fork in my right hand, I kept it perfectly horizontally and swung my right arm as far right as I could, imitating the drill I had practiced earlier.
Hitting the small piece of mochi with this tiny fork was too hard of a challenge, so I changed my target to Evangel.
If I could knock her off balance, the mochi would fall out of her hand, and I would have a chance to grab it.
Seemingly noticing my switching of targets, Evangel, like a professional gymnast, suddenly dived to my right.
Like a cheetah leaping into the air, she easily leaped over the bar top, raising her hands to cover her face.
And just before hitting the wood ground of the building, she suddenly curled her head, bringing it as close as she could to her stomach.
Before her head could touch the ground, she suddenly reached her hand without the mochi downward, letting her free palm touch the ground first.
Using an inhumane amount of strength, she pushed her palm against the ground while the rest of her body was still in the air, boosting herself back into the air.
Then, in what could only be described as a work of art, Evangel perford a perfect sorsault mid-air, sohow keeping the mochi clean and pristine on her hand throughout the whole motion.
Finally, she landed on her feet and imdiately turned around, staring at with an emotionless expression that seed to say, "Is that all?"
"..."
Feeling a sudden flood of energy course through my body, I imdiately rushed forward, knocking over any chairs in the way and leaping over tables.
Simultaneously, Evangel dashed in the other direction, easily outpacing and managing not to hit anything over.
Realizing this, I corned her by moving straight and not allowing her to go backward, slowly limiting her movent.
Within seconds, her space was limited, as her back and shoulders were to a wall while she was facing .
She couldn’t go any farther backward, and if she went left or right, I would eventually completely trap her.
Realizing her situation, Evangel feinted left, then stepped right, attempting to fake out and pass by .
However, I remained still, not because I had noticed her feint but because of my truly terrible reaction ti.
As Evangel weaved through tables and went right, attempting to get past , I ran in a straight path that had been created for servers to bring dishes to their tables efficiently.
While she was much faster than , I had a much more optimal route as she had to curve and move around obstacles.
Suddenly, catching off guard and forcing to halt, Evangel paused and turned over a chair so that its seat was facing her.
Then, without any hesitation, she sprinted forward and leaped on the seat, landing on it with her right foot.
Without her left foot touching the chair, she boosted herself up into the air with her right, flying upward and directly above .
Seeing her about to pass by , I imdiately pulled out two chairs with both my hands and stood on them, blocking her path ahead.
Yet, at that mont, she suddenly cocked her hand back and rushed it forward, throwing her mochi forward.
As the mochi passed by and flew farther, the inevitable happened: Evangel crashed face-first into my stomach.
Losing my balance, I fell back-first off the chairs I was standing on and onto the ground, with Evangel right above .
A burst of pain imdiately rushed through my body and montarily paralyzed as I hit the ground; however, it only got worse.
Not even a second later, Evangel’s flat body fell onto my stomach, overlapping our figures and causing to lose my breath.
With my vision blurred, I looked up; however, all I could see was...snow?
Snow, how was it snowing inside?
Then, I felt it.
A warm feeling
Soone’s breath was so close that it was rushing against my face.
Evangel’s face, re inches away from , was all I could see.
Her snow-white hair cascaded downward, falling onto my face and brushing against my skin, and her pure-white pupils looked directly at mine.
A mont later, I felt sothing vibrate on the right side of my chest, yet my heart was on the left side of my chest.
The vibration then suddenly quickened; however, in turn, I felt another vibration quickening on the left side.
Evangel’s red jacket, which had been previously zipped up, was now undone, revealing her pale-white neck and white undershirt.
But, most importantly of all, the sll...
A sweet and spring-flower sll flooded into my nose.
All the pain that had been residing within my body seed to disappear, instead replaced by relief.
It felt like I was rolling around in a fluffy cloud while looking up at a light blue sky and bright yellow sun that you would only see in Disney movies.
Although I knew I couldn’t, I wanted to stay like this...with this sll and sensation forever.
Perhaps that was why, when a couple of seconds later, Evangel suddenly jumped and sprinted toward the flying mochi, I was completely unaware.
