The academy store was relatively empty since most students were still in class, so as soon I entered, an employee cheerfully greeted .

"What are you looking for today, student?"

Glancing around the first floor of the store, I saw all types of weapons, up to C-rank artifacts, lying around.

In the right corner of the store, there was even a school rch section with Glaive sweatshirts, phoenix plushies, and water bottles.

Nodding my head, I responded after a mont.

"The mana orbs."

Nodding his head, the employee led through countless shelves, making question whether this store was a maze or a store.

Perhaps that was their marketing ploy.

The custor would spend more ti in the store due to its confusing maze-like structure, making them see and perhaps purchase more products.

Finally, as we reached the opposite wall from the entrance, the employee turned around and pointed at the wooden wall behind him before saying.

"Unfortunately, you aren’t able to touch and examine them, but we can assure you that all mana orbs here are of the highest quality."

"The orbs beco increasingly higher rank as you look more to the right. Please let know once you’ve made your selection."

As the employee turned around and left, I examined the mana orbs through the windows, coughing as the prices ca into sight.

The E-rank purple mana orbs I had received from killing the pixies had long disappeared, with deciding to use them instead of selling them to the store after my fight with Raven.

However, my abilities that required mana had more than doubled since then.

Devil’s Eye, my horn-disguising ring, my clones, Ti Freeze, Muscle Recovery, and the Ti-Void ability I had discovered since my fight with Raven, but hadn’t used since.

Saving exactly three gold coins for my future purchases in the capital city, I left the store with a couple of C-ranked orbs.

At my current level, I would estimate my mana capacity to be at about D-rank, but these orbs would boost it to C-.

However, the higher the rank of your mana capacity, the more mana orbs it requires to level up.

*Ring~ring*

As the bell rang one final ti for the day, signifying the end of classes, I stuffed the orbs into my backpack and headed toward the main gates.

The letter securing my safety was still in my pocket, ready to be sent as soon as my mana touched it.

A couple of monts later, a familiar figure ca into view, patiently waiting alongside a Worldly teacher.

It seed Charlotte had a free period at this ti as well.

Besides Charlotte, I could see Nick, the background character who had asked Evangel to sit between him and during our first class with Professor Snape.

If our classmates had to classify my position, they would probably place on the prince’s side due to my closeness with Zeke, so I didn’t try to talk to her.

The club’s president, a third-year male, was leaning against the gate, staring at an ocean-blue device, seemingly tapping and typing on it.

Made out of mana, the rectangle-shaped device that resembled a smartphone was a makeshift ssage that humans had created in this world.

However, there were requirents to it.

Talking to each person required a different ssenger.

For example, I would have to use one mana ssenger to talk with Evangel and a completely different one to speak with Mira.

While ssengers were easy to create, simply requiring a skin-to-skin touch, they required both parties to have decent control of their mana, so no first years could create them.

Additionally, you couldn’t play any gas with them; they were simply used for communication and communication only.

As I stood an awkward distance from my two Imperial classmates, so Worldly students appeared in the distance.

The exact squad that had been partnered with Evangel during the ti of the mountain attack, and the ones to support her in protecting everyone.

Her forr teammates for the practical exam and events in the book.

Coal, lissa, Chae, and Levi.

All of them played crucial roles in the academy arc of the book, so they were, without a doubt, main characters.

Behind them, there was another female student, but I intentionally looked away, not daring to make eye contact.

Breaking the silent atmosphere, Coal imdiately walked up to the president as they arrived and made conversation.

"Pres, you know any secret spots on the mountain!?"

Slowly looking up from his ssenger and sighing upon seeing Coal, the president shook his head and answered sarcastically.

"Even if I did, why would I tell you. But, no, I do not know."

"Don’t lie to pres; co on, I’m willing to split the reward."

"Why would I split the reward with you when I can do it myself!?"

As the two of them talked, liss, Chae, and Levi began discussing the na "Evangel," popping up within a few seconds.

But before I could hone my ears to eavesdrop, I felt a sudden pressure, not a grip, but a touch on my shoulder.

As the fingers on my shoulder moved back and further, giving a ssage, a voice simultaneously sounded.

"Co on, do you still think I’ll betray you? After everything that happened during the practical exam?"

Swiping her hands off my shoulder, I said without turning around.

"No talking. You’ve done enough of that."

Dropping her tone to a soft whisper, she got on her tippy-toes, placing her mouth to my ear, and said.

"Oh? Was the practical exam supposed to be our secret...? The girl said she was a friend of yours, so I assud it was all right."

If there was one person’s existence I could not grasp or understand in the slightest, it was the girl behind .

Sage.

At least, Evangel’s future and intentions were ntioned in the book, but Sage hadn’t been ntioned once.

Who was she?

Why was she so fixated on ?
