Arriving in my usual seat in the middle-right section of the class, I was surprised to find the classroom relatively empty with no one I could recognize in sight.
Squeezing by the male student next to Evangel in the middle right section, I gazed out the window to the plains environnt above .
Recalling how much importance I had initially placed on it, I inadvertently sighed and looked away.
So far, since the first day of classes, I haven’t spent a single minute of free ti there.
As I rested my head on my desk for a slight mont, an imdiate sound woke up, snapping back to reality.
*BANG*
Popping my head upward, I found Professor Snape gazing at with his usual passive-aggressive expression.
Not only that, but the entire class had sohow managed to arrive, filling all the seats, during my mont of rest.
Looking away from finally, Professor Snape paced back and forth before his podium before eventually stopping to write sothing on the whiteboard.
Casually, Snape said with his back to us while scribbling so formula.
"It seems we have two new additions to the Imperial A class. Congratulations to both Charlotte and Liam."
*CLAP*
*CLAP*
Unlike with Evangel and I’s introduction to Imperial A class, Charlotte and Liam were imdiately t with hundreds of claps.
Both of them simply smiled softly, clearly hiding the anger under their trembling lips, and nodded their heads.
Suddenly turning around, Snape said while slowly scanning the audience of students in front of him.
"That ans there’s only six spots left for all of you."
...
...
...
As Snape’s lecture about efficient ways to use mana and which body parts, like the hand, were best suited to control it, my gaze slowly shifted up to the ceiling.
Was he the teacher out to get ?
No...with his annoying large pride, Snape would never use students, Worldly students at that, to get in trouble.
*Ring~ring*
Finally, as the sound of the bell ringing sounded through a mana-powered audio system in every classroom, I jumped out of my seat.
Unfortunately, I had to wait for both Evangel and the boy beside her to get up to exit the row, so I followed the two of them toward the door.
While I passed by the first left section, the three main royals exited their row, making eye contact with my figure.
My interactions with them hadn’t changed at all, surprisingly.
Xero still hated ; Liam didn’t bother as he seemingly only cared about the throne, and Zeke occasionally stopped to talk about my "secrets."
Walking past his group, Zeke stopped beside , while I waited for the crowd at the door to clear out, and said.
"You know you really should, at least, try to pay attention when everyone is looking at you."
Shrugging my shoulders, I answered, having noticed the gazes of most of the students within the room one ti or more throughout the period.
After all, soone unknown like had ranked higher than both the prince and princess, so people were bound to be curious.
Unlike with Snape’s challenge, they couldn’t claim I just got "lucky."
"I’d rather be ranked 20 than be forced to pay attention to this class."
Standing still, waiting for Xero and Liam, and watching walk through the door, Zeke yelled.
"Mid-terms are coming up. Dropping to twentieth is a real possibility for you."
Waving Zeke off, I headed to our elental skills training class, arriving with the classroom relatively full.
This class was especially...awkward.
Standing in front of my row, I glanced at Evangel and Mira, waiting for them to scoot their chairs in so I could get to my window student.
Yet, neither of them moved, stranding outside.
"*AHEM*"
Again, as I let out a dry cough to signal for them to move, they acted like statues, not even acknowledging my cough.
Was this really Mira’s sche to get back at for ignoring her?
Sothing as petty as this...!?
As I placed my leg in the small gap between the back of Evangel’s chair and the next row’s desk, attempting to squeeze through, Mira’s hand suddenly moved backward.
Gripping one of the four legs on Evangel’s chair, Mira imdiately pushed it backward, cramming against the desk above.
"..."
"..."
"..."
Seeing the professor entering the classroom, and everyone else in their seat, I hurriedly asked Evangel.
"May I?"
"..."
No response ca.
At this mont, I really considered pausing ti, but even if I wanted to, I wouldn’t be able to, as my emotions were currently too filled with anger and confusion for to control.
Feeling the back of Evangel’s chair dig into my right leg, I gave up on peace and silent grabbed the chair of Evangel’s leg nearest to .
Mira was an observer, so there was no way she should be able to match my strength.
It was a ga of tug of war with Evangel’s chair as the rope, and Mira would be on the losing side.
However, as I gripped the tal leg nearest to and pushed back...nothing happened.
"Why isn’t it moving!?"
At those words, Mira and Evangel finally displayed so sort of reaction.
Turning around, Mire gazed at with a disgusted expression before slowly patting Evangel on the shoulder, seemingly comforting her...?
Alternatively, Evangel simply shifted in her seat before continuing to stare emotionless at the board.
Retracing my leg from the row and freeing it from between Evangel’s chair on the desk above, I simply walked up to the top-right section.
Nodding my head at the confused student, unaware of the situation below, I squeezed behind their seats as they were kind enough to actually move forward when prompted.
Reaching the student who sat directly above in the window seat of the top-right section, I simply said.
"It’s easier for to get my seat this way."
Without any hesitation, I walked right between him and the window before jumping forward.
Easily clearing the desk,I began descending, falling right in front of my seat in the middle-right section.
