Ruan Li stood up and noticed Su Bai still sitting motionless in his seat. She patted his shoulder, "Let’s go."
Su Bai looked at her with a pale and weak expression, as if she were a heartless woman, "Do you know, that was all my possessions..."

Thus, Ruan Li dragged him to a small compartnt, seeing the signal source placed on the table.

With that, he transford into a small sand cat and darted out through the door crack.
Ruan Li couldn’t even catch the shadow of his departure, only feeling that this gray little cat was fiercely adorable.
Thankfully, the call through the Smart Brain wasn’t ended. Bai He’s voice continued to co through, "Ruannuan, don’t be afraid. If danger arises, find a place to hide. We’re almost there."
Ruan Li moved the sofa aside to create a gap, with a hollow underneath. She could just fit inside and still see through the door crack, "Don’t worry, I’ll protect myself."
This little life wasn’t easy to co by, so it’s natural to cherish it dearly.
Outside, with the earth shaking and walls cracking with a terrifying fissure, Ruan Li couldn’t tell what was happening outside.
A familiar gray figure ca running—it was Su Bai.

Su Bai’s body froze at once, and under this close-range threat, the animal instinct for survival made him tremble, not daring to move.
The chanical eye rotated, scanning every situation inside the room, before moving away after a lengthy period.
Su Bai held his chest, panting, "What is that thing?"
Ruan Li also dared not breathe, just now she almost got discovered...
If she hadn’t tily dismantled the signal source on the Smart Brain, perhaps that unidentified chanical eye would have locked onto her.
Su Bai couldn’t find Ruan Li, but sniffed her scent.
Dragging his weak legs, he found Ruan Li hiding behind the sofa, "You’re here? Why aren’t you responding to ?"
Ruan Li put her index finger to her lips, "Shh."
Su Bai imdiately shut his mouth, squatting alongside Ruan Li, the two hiding in this small nook.
After waiting about ten minutes, there seed to be no more noise from outside. Su Bai tugged at her clothes, pointed to his mouth.
Ruan Li helplessly nodded, Su Bai unzipped his mouth, quietly saying, "What was that thing?"
"I don’t know either," though it’s likely Wen Li’s colleague, the latter half of the sentence Ruan Li didn’t ntion, as it was just his speculation.
"When will your Beast Husband arrive? Don’t forget my nine hundred and eighty crystal cores."
"Rest assured, I won’t forget. Take care of properly, and you’ll get more crystal cores."
Hearing Ruan Li’s promises, not only did Su Bai feel at ease, he also shed all worries, seemingly pondering how he would spend several thousand crystal cores.
The two squatted there for another half-hour, ensuring the external threat had moved away, before sneaking out of the compartnt.
Fortunately, the compartnt structure was small, and despite the violent destruction, it was only slightly damaged. They navigated through nearly a pile of rubble at the trading house to find a path, crouched down, and left.
In the pitch-dark night amidst chaos and noise, Ruan Li and Su Bai donned black cloaks, darting away like fish integrating with the moonlight.
However, the situation throughout the city wasn’t great, even the ground displayed cracks and deep indentations. Ruan Li almost slipped, luckily Su Bai caught her just in ti.
Ruan Li didn’t expect that his small form could actually pull her, expressing gratitude for surviving this ordeal.
Su Bai awkwardly said, "You can’t die; you still owe those thousands of crystal cores."
Ruan Li was speechless. How did it suddenly turn into thousands of crystal cores? Inflation was ridiculously high.
"Hold onto , don’t be embarrassed." Su Bai extended his hand to her, glancing at the little female with gray-brown eyes before looking away quickly.
Ruan Li didn’t hesitate and took hold of his hand. Su Bai could see in the dark, following him would certainly avoid many dangers.
