Xiao Mi covered her face, feeling ashad.
As soone who has traveled through ti with a special cheat, how could she be doing so poorly!
The next second, Xiao Mi slapped the pillar and stood up: "I’ve decided!"
The three people on the other side looked at her blankly, and Xiao Xue handed a needle to Jiang Wei: "Xiao Mi, what did you decide?"
"I want to make money!" Xiao Mi was unusually firm.
Then she looked at her second sister and the others: "Second sister, are you teaching Xiao Wei embroidery?"
"He insisted on learning, so let him try. Anyway, there’s nothing else to do at ho recently."
With a needle and thread, Xiao Xue picked up so scraps of fabric for him: "First, learn how to use the needle, at least learn to sew clothes. Once your stitches look good, you can move on to embroidery."
After saying this, she didn’t pay him any more attention, and turned back to Xiao Mi: "Xiao Mi, how are you going to make money? Are you going to learn embroidery too?"
Earlier, Xiao Wei said he wanted to learn embroidery to make money, so she thought Xiao Mi was probably thinking the sa thing.
At least for Xiao Xue, at the mont, besides embroidery, she really couldn’t think of another way to earn money.
Xiao Mi shook her head like a rattle: "No, no, no, I don’t want to learn embroidery, second sister. I’m going to check out the mountain."
Saying this, she whistled: "Little Hei, up the mountain!"
Little Hei, who had been sleeping under the eaves, quickly ran over, circling excitedly around Xiao Mi, wagging his tongue.
Little Mimi peeked her head from the beam and then climbed back up, clearly not planning to join in today.
After the lesson from last ti, Xiao Mi deliberately took a small backpack today, which Jiang Hu specially bought for her, and it fit just right.
Thinking for a mont, she grabbed a sickle and then headed up the mountain enthusiastically.
The others were unsurprised, especially seeing the tall Little Hei, which gave them a sense of reassurance.
This ti, however, Xiao Mi took a different direction up the mountain.
Previously, she would always go up the mountain from behind the old house, as that direction was close to the waterhole, which she usually frequented.
But today, Xiao Mi chose the direction where she used to dig for bamboo shoots and caught bamboo rats.
She climbed up to the bamboo grove in one go, stretched lazily, looked around, and then chose a direction.
Once she was out of sight from the village, Xiao Mi placed her backpack into her secret space, climbing easily with her hands free.
Little Hei stayed by Xiao Mi’s side the whole ti, occasionally barking to scare away a snake or sothing.
On the slopes around Fu’an Village, there were plenty of small animals, including snakes.
Xiao Mi could roughly guess they were attracted by the Spiritual Spring but didn’t dare appear where humans gathered, hence why they lingered around the village.
But they were just small animals and wouldn’t pose any harm to humans.
After walking for a while, Xiao Mi stopped to think: "Which direction should I go?"
It was a difficult decision because she had never gone this way before.
"Woof, woof!" Little Hei suddenly barked loudly in front, and Xiao Mi was montarily stunned before quickly catching up.
"Little Hei, did you find sothing?" Catching up, she saw Little Hei barking at a particular spot.
Looking closely, her face lit up with joy: "No way, such luck?"
It was actually a Lingzhi mushroom?
The cap was reddish-brown, with a darker center, gradually fading to a light yellow on the edges, with concentric ring patterns and a slightly wrinkled texture, unlike the smooth mushroom caps.
It was indeed a Ganoderma lucidum, a kind of Lingzhi.
However, to Xiao Mi’s dismay, the place where the Lingzhi was growing seed...
"Indeed, there’s no such thing as pies falling from the sky!" Xiao Mi sighed deeply and sensibly chose to give up.
The thing was growing halfway up a steep small hill; you really had to crane your neck just to see it, and it was just a tiny one, with a cap only the size of a dining spoon.
Even though it looked very much like a Lingzhi, Xiao Mi couldn’t be certain, so she decided to let it go—for now, at least.
However, Xiao Mi ntally noted the route to this place, just in case she might have a chance to co back for it soday.
In her secret space, she planted ginseng, and the flowers had already blood once; she collected so seeds, but no signs of a Lingzhi yet, since Lingzhi only has spores, not seeds.
If she could indeed directly bring one living, growing Lingzhi into the space, it might possibly develop on its own over ti.
She glanced one more ti at the little Lingzhi on the cliff, deciding not to rush it.
"Making money, making money, how exactly do I make money?"
Xiao Mi wandered aimlessly through the deep forest.
