"Azalea, please distract Duke Archer. He seems suspicious of my presence here!"
I hurriedly commanded Azalea through my magical telepathy.
Azalea, though unable to see , nodded, understanding my intent.
"Duke Archer... your sudden appearance surprised us both..."
Azalea said while hurriedly approached Duke Archer, who was walking toward .
She held his right arm and forced a half-hearted smile, trying to catch his attention.
Although Duke Archer stopped in his tracks, his gaze remained fixed on .
"...I thought you’d gone sowhere, Azalea," Duke Archer said coldly, not looking at her.
"Oh... I happened to be checking on Sheiza, Duke Archer. Sheiza hasn’t been feeling well for the past few days, so I ca to check on her to ensure her health. I’m grateful that Sheiza has now recovered and is ready to return to her duties as the overseer of the golden mountain of Aaren." Azalea hastily made an excuse, pointing to Shieza, who stood upright like a robot—which funnily enough was her style when she was still Duke Archer’s pawn.
Duke Archer glanced at Sheiza, studying her for a long mont with a flat, cold expression.
"...a mighty warrior with the power of King Bahamut can be sick? Sheiza... you truly disappoint . You should be much better than this. You bring sha to the Aurelius family na!" Duke Archer said curtly.
"I-I’m sorry, Duke Archer..." Sheiza bowed apologetically in a stiff voice.
But I could see the anger hidden behind her flat expression.
Good, I was expecting that kind of rebellion from Sheiza against her father.
But it would all be for naught if I couldn’t successfully complete my threeso ritual with Azalea and Sheiza.
Tch...this damn Duke Archer really ca at the wrong ti!
I saw Duke Archer glance back at .
From his suspicious gaze, it seed like he sensed sothing strange, possibly starting to notice my presence.
Damn it.
Should I step away?
But I was worried that the ripples of magical aura forming, even small ones, might arouse Duke Archer’s suspicions.
TAP!
TAP!
Damn it.
The approaching footsteps of Duke Archer’s armor, along with Duke Archer’s terrifying deanor, made my heart beat faster.
Worst case scenario: all my plans failed and I had to fight Duke Archer right here and now.
Even if I manage to defeat Duke Archer, sohow, here, another problem will arise.
Duke Archer’s forces, as well as King Victor Dragomir’s, will learn of Duke Archer’s mysterious defeat at the Golden Mountain of Aaren, and they will surely invade this Golden Mountain of Aaren.
Furthermore, they will learn that I, Atreus Vermillion, have risen in rebellion, and they will mobilize their entire army to attack the entire Vermillion territory.
It’s too damn risky, and the Vermillion Army will be destroyed before it even reaches its full potential.
Just a ter in front of , Duke Archer stopped.
He glanced around, not directly at , as if searching for sothing with a suspicious gaze.
"Um, Duke Archer... is there sothing you’re looking for? I-I can help you find it, Duke Archer..." Azalea said, holding Duke Archer’s right arm with the gentlest gaze she could muster.
Man, she even showed a cleave of her large, voluptuous breasts to catch Duke Archer’s attention.
Surprisingly, it worked.
Duke Archer gazed at Azalea’s large, voluptuous breasts with passion.
His attention was no longer focused on .
His gaze softened as Azalea looked at him with a gentle smile.
"Azalea...you’ve grown so sexy like this...sothing I rarely see from you. It seems you’ve been beautifying yourself lately..." Duke Archer said, lifting Azalea’s chin.
Azalea flinched in surprise, but she quickly replaced her frightened expression with a forced smile.
"A-ah...as a good wife...it’s only right that I dress up to welco my husband, Duke Archer..." Azalea said as softly as she could, though I could sense the nervousness lurking within her.
Duke Archer slowly gazed at Azalea’s sexy, arousing lips.
Azalea could only stand in silence as Duke Archer drew closer, but suddenly, his initially gentle gaze changed drastically to a cold, cruel one.
In just a split second, Duke Archer’s hand flew out, slapping Azalea hard.
SLAP!
"Ahh...!"
"Mother...!"
Azalea imdiately fell to her knees from the force of the slap.
Sheiza, shocked to see her father slap her mother so hard, imdiately approached her mother with a worried look.
"Tch...! Do you think that by beautifying yourself you can solve my problems?! No! You’re a worthless woman compared to my dear Duchess Celestia...! You’re nothing but a parasite living in a golden palace with all the luxuries here...!" Duke Archer exclaid in annoyance.
Azalea remained silent, holding back tears from her own husband’s cruel insult.
"Father...! If you wanted to reprimand mother, you shouldn’t have used violence and—"
SLAP!
SLAP!
Sheiza, who had initially exploded in anger at seeing her mother humiliated like that, had to kneel down as well, enduring the pain on her reddened cheeks from Duke Archer’s hard slap that ca faster than she expected.
"Hah...! Are you trying to advise , Sheiza...?! What contribution have you made to the Aurelius family besides living a life of luxury, becoming a parasite like your useless mother?! I’ve made you the supre commander of the troops on the golden mountain of Aaren, yet I haven’t made any progress on the mountain’s defenses! You’re even sick like a weakling! You’re truly disappointing!" Duke Archer snapped.
Azalea’s gaze sharpened when she heard her father’s anger.
She gritted her teeth, about to get up with murderous intent.
This was dangerous.
If Sheiza went berserk and dueled Duke Archer, whatever the outco, I would be the one at a loss, as all my secret plans would be destroyed.
"Sheiza...! Calm yourself...! Don’t swallow his insults! You are far better and more deserving than your father’s trumped-up accusations...!" I called out quickly with my telepathic magic.
Sheiza flinched in surprise at my voice.
And at the sa ti, Azalea pulled Shezia’s hand back to kneel before Duke Archer.
Azalea simply shook her head at her daughter, signaling Sheiza to be more patient and patient amidst Duke Archer’s insults and curses.
"What’s wrong, Sheiza?! You dare to fight ?! Huh...?!" Duke Archer snapped defiantly.
Sheiza covered her mouth and lowered her face, trying her best to hide her anger that was threatening to explode.
"I-I apologize for my shortcomings...which disappointed father and-"
SLAP!
Another hard slap struck Sheiza’s cheek, nearly knocking her to the ground.
Luckily, she managed to brace herself with her hands and maintain her kneeling position.
"Call Duke Archer, you useless child! I am the head of the Aurelius family, King Victor Dragomir’s right-hand man! Never underestimate !"
Well, for soone so obsessed with his position, I never thought Duke Archer would order his daughter to call him by his full title like that.
But now that I think about it, he once asked Azalea to call him by his noble title.
With a tyrannical patriarch like this, it’s no wonder Azalea and Sheiza are depressed and pressured, even with their noble titles and positions.
"P-please forgive for my shortcomings... and for my behavior that didn’t et Duke Archer’s expectations... I’m truly sorry..." Sheiza said with a lowered face and a low voice.
I knew her face wasn’t lowered out of remorse, but to hide her anger.
"Tch! Seeing you two is making annoyed! Looks like I’ll have to keep a close eye on him for the next few days," Duke Archer said, turning around and swishing his robes haughtily.
Shit.
Azalea and Sheiza’s intervention was successful, but I didn’t expect her to want to stay here for the next few days.
If he decides that, my plans to build up my army will be disrupted, or worse, completely exposed!
"Azalea...give him his favorite wine. Maybe it will make him forget..." I said telepathically.
Azalea imdiately understood what I ant and quickly got up to follow Duke Archer as he was about to leave the room.
"Duke Archer...I-I’ve prepared your favorite wine. H-how about we drink at the grand hall? I-I’ve prepared a lot of your favorite wine so you can have a comfortable place to enjoy your favorite wine!" Azalea said quickly.
Duke Archer stopped in his tracks and looked at Azalea—still with a condescending gaze, even though she was his own wife.
"Oh...that wine...if it’s about that wine, I guess I can’t refuse. Give that fine wine, Azalea. Its deliciousness will soothe so of my irritation with you two!"
I breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.
If Duke Archer was willing to drink the wine, then I could easily go through with this threeso plan.
I saw Duke Archer leave with Azalea and Sheiza following behind.
Silently, I followed the three of them to the palace bar Azalea had ntioned.
My main plan was still on the agenda: completing my threeso ritual with Azalea and Sheiza, even if Duke Archer is still here.
And even if Azalea and Sheiza have to moan passionately in front of Duke Archer, I’ll still do it for the sake of a perfecting magical power on Sheiza!
