"Are you still alive, Atreus Vermillion...?"
Zeraxion’s voice echoed in this secret sauna, but I couldn’t see his form.
Probably this secret sauna, sohow, linked with his mind and soul.
Wait, if it really linked, could he have seen how intensely I was performing the ’dragon blood ritual’ with Leysha in here?
Possibly.
But he didn’t seem to notice or care enough.
Well, whatever.
"I’m still alive and kicking, Zeraxion," I said calmly.
"This is the first ti I’ve seen anyone enter and survive in the black dragon blood chamber for this long. Even Ulrich Aurelius didn’t dare enter that chamber because of the brutality of the black dragon blood."
"It’s simply because Ulrich is weak and cowardly, Zeraxion. He doesn’t want to waste ti risking himself wrestling with the black dragon blood. Just like King Victor Dragomir and his loyalists, they are afraid of anything related to dragons."
"...aren’t you afraid of the black dragon’s blood?"
"No. Leysha and I are actually soaking in a luxurious pool filled with purified dragon blood."
"Purified...? You’ve successfully purified the brutality of dragon blood...?"
"Yes, both Leysha and I have fully adapted to the purified dragon blood. After this, Leysha and I can help you remove the seal that still pierces your heart, Zeraxion. But on one condition..."
Zeraxion didn’t imdiately respond when I stated the prerequisite.
It seed he already knew what I wanted.
A vow.
An alliance that binds a commitnt between Vermillion and Zeraxion.
A bond of commitnt I need to fight King Victor Dragomir and his allies.
"As long as you can prove that you can destroy my remaining seal, then I assure you my loyalty is yours, Atreus Vermillion."
Ah, this was the statent I’d been waiting for from Zeraxion.
There was only one more step left, and I needed Leysha’s help to reach it.
I saw Leysha still asleep on my body, her breathing gradually steady.
It seed she still needed ti to fully rest so she could rise refreshed to free Zeraxion.
"...then, give Leysha and so ti. We’ll be back at your place in a mont."
*
After resting, Leysha and I put our clothes back on and walked out of the dragon blood room.
One thing that caught my attention was that Leysha’s outfit, originally a red dress, had now changed into a white healer’s coat with elegant attire and a black skirt with delicate lace.
Carrying Lady Vermillion’s short golden staff, Leysha looked like an elite healer.
Of course, it wasn’t just her appearance, but the aura of magical power radiating a blue-white glow indicated she was indeed a top-class healer.
"Your clothes have changed, Leysha," I said, still noticing my wife’s beauty and her voluptuous cleavage.
"Y-yes... I don’t know what happened, Baron Atreus. I was going to wear that red dress, but when I took it off, a sudden surge of magical power surged out and transford it into this healer’s robe..." Leysha explained.
"Oh... is this the first ti happened on you...?"
"Yes, Baron... this is the first ti, and I’ve never done this before... it seems like since my magical power was strengthened by purified dragon blood, my magical power feels more vibrant than usual."
Hmm.
This is interesting.
The whitish-blue light I saw earlier felt like the light that had previously eliminated the aura of the dragon’s power that had possessed Leysha’s body.
It seems like sothing more profound is happening to her body and soul, but I can’t detect it yet.
"Atreus Vermillion... finally you return."
Zeraxion’s voice calling out to broke my reverie.
I just realized that Leysha and I had been walking until we finally arrived in front of Zeraxion.
In the middle of this hollow, shallow space, Zeraxion still sat in the only chair in the room, his dragon-like arrogance evident.
But from his blank stare, I was certain this human-bodied dragon actually had high hopes for .
"Leysha... can you do it?" I asked, gently grasping Leysha’s hand.
"Yes, Baron Atreus. Leave it to ," Leysha replied confidently.
I released my grip, allowing Leysha to walk toward Zeraxion.
I watched as Leysha raised her short golden staff, the tip of which radiated a magical, healing light that instantly relaxed Zeraxion.
Without being asked, Zeraxion opened his coat slightly, revealing his magically chained chest.
Leysha’s right hand slowly approached the magical chain, gripping it like a regular chain.
Even a wizard with advanced healing abilities could only glimpse the faint magical chain seal, but Leysha could see it imdiately and even grasp it.
Since her body and soul had already attuned with purified dragon blood, Zeraxion’s body is not take Leysha’s attempt as offensive, which made the recovering process beco smooth more than expected.
I heard Leysha mumbling as if she was chanting sothing, her voice so low I couldn’t hear it.
SRIINNGG...!
Slowly, a whitish-blue light appeared in Leysha’s right hand.
The magical chain she was holding slowly shattered into thousands of crystal soul fragnts that glowed like a swarm of fireflies, with a bluish glow all around them.
Leysha pulled her right hand back, and at the sa ti, the thousands of crystal soul fragnts floated into the gem on her golden staff.
ZAPPP...!
In re seconds, all thousands of fragnts were absorbed into Leysha’s golden staff.
I was certainly amazed by Leysha’s healing abilities.
But I just didn’t expect that unsealing Zeraxion would involve a chanism I had never imagined.
At first, I thought Leysha would remove the magical chain and then imdiately use her healing abilities to reduce the pain that could kill Zeraxion.
But it turned out the chanism didn’t go that far.
"Leysha...! You succeeded...! I’m proud of you, dear!" I praised sincerely.
Leysha looked at with a satisfied smile.
I knew she always felt satisfied when she t my expectations.
"You’re welco, Baron Atreus... I’m glad to be useful to your cause..." Leysha replied, bowing respectfully.
I smiled too, seeing Leysha smile sweetly like an angel, but when I looked at Zeraxion, his face was pale with fear.
I realized that Zeraxion was a unique dragon because his body resembled a human.
But this was the first ti I’d seen Zeraxion, the dragon known for its arrogance, so tense and trembling.
Weird.
Shouldn’t he be happy that the remaining seals that had been holding him back were completely gone?
Shouldn’t he be free?
"Hey, Zeraxion, what’s wrong with you?" I asked impatiently.
"A-Atreus Vermillion...co here quickly..."
Zeraxion called out to , but his gaze occasionally drifted to Leysha, as if hoping I would approach him instead of Leysha.
Zeraxion really wanted to be near him so he could whisper a ssage only I could hear.
I knew he wanted to convey it in a whisper like this because he didn’t want Leysha to overhear.
"Y-you’re in big trouble, Atreus Vermillion...this woman...is no ordinary healer..."
"What...?"
