Nuanyang held two boxes, both attractively packaged and filled with the sa costics!
"These are gifts from the Lady for you both, please accept them with pleasure!"
Liang Boya happily asked the maid beside her to take them and put them away, and then she couldn’t resist opening one to take a look!
She didn’t have ill intentions; she just wanted to try and see if the costics were as good as her cousin had described?

"I must wash my face and apply this!"
Liang Boya, not minding that she was a guest, insisted on washing her face and applying the perfu right away!
Ye Shiqi had a maid take her to her own courtyard, as she was residing in what used to be Ye Jinfeng’s courtyard, so she could also take her to the Second Lady’s courtyard!
Ye Shiqi didn’t personally accompany Liang Boya to the courtyard she was staying in, mainly because it was ti to receive guests, leaving her grandmother and aunt to attend to the visitors!

The Second Lady also smiled helplessly!
Everyone in the living room watched the mother and daughter covering their mouths, laughing.
Liang Boya realized she was being too impatient and let go of her mother’s hand, "Mother, sorry, I was too eager!"
And then the mother-daughter duo, along with a maid, left the living room, leaving Ye Shiqi with her grandmother.
"Second Lady, Lady, so general’s ladies have co!"

"Please invite them in quickly!"
The little maid curtsied, "Yes," and exited the door. In that short ti, she invited in several generals’ wives!
"Second Lady, may you be well!"
As they spoke, their eyes caught sight of the Second Lady sitting to the side, with no one occupying the main seat. Beside the Second Lady sat a girl about eleven or twelveyears old, extrely cute and clever!
Just one glance convinced these generals’ wives that this must undoubtedly be the newly arrived little miss of the General Mansion, and from the composed and shrewd look in the girl’s eyes, they felt that no other family’s miss in the Oasis could compare to her!
Indeed, a tiger’s daughter cos from a general’s house, but the General Mansion’s foster child and daughter hadn’t co here, had they?

They chattered away with words of praise, making the Second Lady smile so wide her eyes nearly disappeared!
Ye Shiqi responded with a polite smile as well.
When the guests sat down, the maids served them honey tea and also brought out pastries!
"Ah, what kind of tea is this? It slls so good? I have never co across such a sweet fragrance!" a Madam exclaid, sniffing the tea before even drinking it.
Another Madam glanced at the flowers in the tea and said, "Is this chrysanthemum honey tea? It’s very hard to find chrysanthemums around here, and honey is even harder to co by, not to ntion expensive, and the ones you can buy aren’t of such good quality!"
They hadn’t even drunk the tea yet already heaping praise on it, which felt very encouraging!
Ye Shiqi considered these few to be honest and upright, indeed their characteristics were quite good, but their straightforward nature explained why they couldn’t handle the Old Lady and her faction!
A straightforward personality often puts one at a disadvantage in house fighting and the strife among won; honest people tend to lose out!
The Second Lady nodded to them, "Enjoy the tea and pastries, they are made from chrysanthemums and honey that my granddaughter brought from her husband’s side, as well as the rice and flour used to make the pastries!"
"Really? Is that so? We must taste it then! We are indeed fortunate!" said a Madam, who was not among those who had migrated here from the Southern lands.
Of course, they longed for the Capital City and n’s sides, but none of General Ye’s people had been able to return to the Capital, so naturally, their subordinates couldn’t go back either!
There were Madams who had migrated with General’s family, and back then they were only children and missed the Southern lands deeply.

And after eating the pastries, they felt extrely comfortable and relaxed all over!
At that mont, one Madam brownnosed, "Second Lady, your skin has improved a lot. Do you have any secrets? The young Lady too, how do you maintain such good skin?"
Ye Shiqi smiled mysteriously, choosing not to answer just yet.
The Second Lady glanced at her granddaughter, and seeing that the granddaughter did not, as she had done before with her cousin, reveal the matter of the costic products.
She thought it best to keep it a secret for now and smiled at the Madams, "Really? Has my skin truly improved? No wonder I’ve been feeling that my facial skin isn’t as tight lately, perhaps when one’s mood is good the skin improves too!!"
The Madams were puzzled; the Old Lady’s skin hadn’t cracked, yet even their younger faces, lips, hands, and feet had.
It seed that the Second Lady’s mood had indeed been good lately; could there be a better reason for a mood lift than having an ally to defeat the Old Lady?
