My hand trembled beside , anger, confusion, and fear crashed down through my body, it was so overwhelming that I didn’t realize the hot tears flowing down my cheeks.

I wondered if this was rely my bad luck. Why did I get a second chance to live in this body? I wasn’t even given a chance to process everything that had happened.

"Soone, clean her up. The auction will start in an hour."

Alpha Caelen’s voice echoed through the air, cutting my trail of thoughts. So of the servants rushed towards , aggressively pulling along with them.

The anger boiling in my heart made it difficult not to say anything. I forcefully yanked my hands away from their grips. Then, I turned around, running back to the man who claid to be my father.

"Alpha Caelen..." I shouted, making him stop in his tracks.

He turned, facing . His brown eyes looked at with slight surprise, but he quickly masked it with an irritated expression.

"I need to have a word with you," I was grateful for my voice coming out firmly, a stark contrast to my inner mind which was already trembling like a dry leaf before the wind.

He raised his hand up, signaling the servants to stop. They imdiately obeyed, retreating a few steps back.

His cold eyes pierced through , shattering every resolve that I had gathered. His presence was suffocating and deaning.

I swallowed, my hand clenching into a fist. I had struck deals with powerful n in my world before, they were also intimidating. With that thought, I parted my lips.

"What have I done to deserve this as your daughter? Don’t you have an iota of sympathy for ? If you knew you and your people were going to treat like trash, why the hell did you give birth to ?" I yelled at the top of my lungs.

Silence stretched through the air like a blanket. The tension thickened as the servants and the other werewolves stared at with horror, before their gaze shifted to Alpha Caelen.

My throat tightened as I managed to maintain eye contact with him. For a mont, I swear I saw a glint of sadness passing through his eyes.

"Because you were never supposed to be my daughter, to carry an Alpha blood in your useless Oga body."

I felt a sting in my heart. It was like my body was programd to react to every single word of his.

"Then let go, I... I’ll never appear in front of you."

He scoffed, his eyes turning into a calculative and cold look. "You must do your duty for carrying my bloodline in your veins."

"But..."

"Take her away." He commanded.

The servants imdiately scrambled forward, pulling into the mansion. I stumbled as they dragged away, my mind spinning from his harsh words. My heart ached, each beat a painful reminder that I was nothing more than a burden to this man. I felt the last flicker of defiance in slowly snuffing out, crushed beneath the weight of my fate.

...

After the torture-like bath, they forced into wearing a cream dress before pushing down to sit in front of a vanity mirror.

My gaze reluctantly flicked up at the mirror, that was when I knew what the body I was dwelling actually looked like.

A girl with silver-white hair and ocean-blue eyes stared back at , her face covered with bruises and cuts. Her lips looked so chapped and dried.

She looked so pitiful and slender, as if a re breeze could break her in two. She did have beautiful features. My heart bled out for her.

The irony, it was no longer her... she’s . Seeing myself with another feature felt like I was staring at a stranger.

Most importantly, I have also inherited her ill-fated life. Tears trickled down my cheeks, but they were quickly wiped away by the maids as they covered my wounds with makeup.

A groan escaped from my lips, as I could feel the sting of the makeup on my fresh wounds.

’Fine, after the auction, I’ll find a way to escape.’ I thought inwardly, my hand tightening against my dress.

"We need to make you presentable, as you will be bought by the Alphas," one of the maids said, dabbing powder over my face.

I didn’t utter a word, like the quote says, ’confuse them with your silence, shock them with your actions.’ That will be exactly what I’ll be doing.

Because no one will believe that the real Ember was already dead, so telling them that I have transmigrated into her body would sound like a fool’s talk.

After they were done, they led out of the mansion, towards another building.

When we entered the building, all heads snapped towards . I had this strange urge to bow my head, avoiding their gazes, but that wasn’t . I have always looked both my enemies and friends in the eyes.

I tilted my head up as we walked to the elevated platform, masking the nervousness flooding up my face with a fake bravado.

I felt shivers running down my spine as I saw the n staring at with pure lust, as if I was a prized possession to boost their egos.

I searched the crowd, searching for my so-called father, but he was nowhere to be found. My throat burned from suppressing the cry that was planning to escape from my lips.

The man who had been with my father earlier walked towards , shooting a disdainful look, then he turned around facing the crowd.

"I, Beta Roy Nightshade, welco all the Alphas on behalf of Alpha Caelen Salvatore of the Silvermoon pack." He paused before continuing. "The Alpha is unable to attend to you due to an important event that he has to attend to."

Behind my calm exterior, my heart skittered in my chest like a piano falling down the stairs. I never knew I would be reduced to nothing but a commodity in my lifeti.

"You all must have heard of the youngest daughter of the Alpha. She is well fertile and has the Alpha blood coursing through her veins. A rare breeder."

Whispers echoed from the crowd. I could already feel the burning gazes from the crowd. Every single minute felt like I was being squeezed out from inside.

"The bidding starts now!" Beta Roy’s voice echoed through the room.

A feeling of foreboding dread washed over , as I watched, knowing my fate was about to be decided.
