Veylina closed the door and locked it.
’He is my husband now. I must listen to him.’
Even though she said this, she was still uncomfortable.
She had always dread of a first ti filled with romance and love, but now, it seed that dream would never co true.
"What are you standing there for? Co here." Ren still didn’t know what she had in mind.
Veylina steeled herself and approached them slowly. Once she was standing next to the bed, she gracefully let the first layer of her robes fall.
Ren and his won were stunned by her actions.
Sure, he told her to co to his chamber, but they would only cultivate together, nothing more than that.
"Hehe." Diana and Scarlett giggled softly.
’It seems like she misunderstood him.’
They exchanged a glance with each other.
The corner of his lips twitched. "Why are you removing your robes?"
Veylina was taken aback by his question. "Aren’t we going to do that?"
Ren finally understood the reason behind her behavior. "We are going to cultivate together, not do that."
"I see." Veylina lowered her head in shyness.
At this mont, he rembered that he hadn’t introduced his won to her. "Ah, right. They are my won, Diana and Scarlett."
Veylina’s expression turned to shock once more.
’They are his won, not followers?’
They stood behind him and acted like followers, so she was startled when she learned who they really were.
"I’m Diana." Diana introduced herself with a friendly smile.
"I’m Scarlett." Scarlett added with a smile.
"I’m Veylina. Nice to et you." Despite introducing himself in a friendly manner, countless questions popped up in her mind because she had never heard of any dragon having a spouse from the human race before.
"You must have many questions, right?" he knew this from her expression.
Veylina stayed silent, but her expression said everything.
"Well, since you are my concubine, I suppose I can tell you about my race." He stopped for a second before he continued, "I’m half-human, half-dragon."
Unlike the ti when he revealed his race to his won, he was pretty calm this ti.
Of course, he knew the reason for this.
After all, he had just t Veylina, so the fear of losing her was not in his heart.
"Half-human, half-dragon?" Veylina said in surprise. "But didn’t you awaken the Mark of Divinity?"
"It’s true that I’m half-human, half-dragon, but I’m from a royal bloodline," he told her that his mother was a dragon princess, so he was a descendant of the First Dragon king.
Veylina was completely at a loss for words.
Her father had told her what the Mark of Divinity was, so she thought only a pure bloodline could awaken it, but now, she finally knew that she was wrong.
"I will leave this continent tomorrow. After we cultivate together, think carefully about whether you want to follow or not. I will hear your answer in the morning." He didn’t mind if she chose to stay because his goal was to use the teleportation.
"I’m your concubine, so I will follow you." Veylina gave her answer right away.
"If you want to follow , you will live among humans later. Can you do that?" he asked.
"I can." She replied confidently.
Unlike most dragons, she didn’t see the human race as inferior.
In a world where strength was everything, all races were the sa in her eyes, because the weak would die regardless of their race.
"I’m not saying you can’t kill humans. Just don’t touch good people." He knew that so people were evil, so telling her to spare them all would be too generous.
"I will keep that in mind," Veylina replied.
"Co here. Let’s cultivate together now." He gave her a sign to sit in front of him.
Veylina did what he was told and sat on the bed.
The mont Ren activated the Mark of Divinity, a sigil appeared on their foreheads.
’This is...’
Veylina could not hide her surprised expression when the entire chamber was suddenly filled with dense spiritual energy and mana.
’No! This is not the ti to be stunned.’
She stopped looking at him and closed her eyes.
Unlike in the past, she found it easy to absorb spiritual energy, as if she were pouring water into a bucket.
She even felt like she had a special physique because the energy flowed into her body without any obstruction.
An hour later, a wave of spiritual energy burst out of Veylina, signaling her breakthrough.
She instantly stopped and opened her eyes.
’I... I’ve finally broken through to 3-star.’
Tears welled up in her eyes because she had been waiting for this mont for a long ti.
Scarlett and Diana congratulated her after they sensed her breakthrough.
"Congratulations." They said in unison as they smiled softly.
"Thank you!" Her tears fell down her soft cheeks as Veylina turned to them.
She instantly wiped it away and smiled gently at them.
At the sa ti, spiritual energy and mana swirled violently around Ren. Monts later, golden light erupted from his body, shooting high into the sky.
Diana and the others instantly shifted their gaze to him because the energy he released was so powerful and intense.
’Is he undergoing a breakthrough as well?’
As a question popped up in their minds, a black vortex ford above them.
Everyone in the kingdom raised their heads one by one because they wanted to know the cause of the sudden change in the sky.
"What’s going on? Is soone breaking through?"
"That golden light ca from the royal palace. Could it be that Princess Veylina finally broke through to 3-star?"
"I don’t think it’s her."
"I think so too. That kind of sky phenonon only appears during the breakthrough of a true prodigy."
"A phenonon like this has never appeared before. Just how is that person?"
"Whoever he is, it doesn’t matter. Since he is in our kingdom, then he is from the dragon race!"
"That is right! All that matters is that he is one of us!"
Even though curiosity erged in their hearts, they didn’t rush to the palace and remained in their places.
At the sa ti, King Draxion and Queen Valendra looked at the phenonon through a window.
"Isn’t that light coming from his chamber?" Queen Valendra asked.
"Yes." King Draxion nodded.
"To make the sky change during a breakthrough... he truly is an extraordinary young man." She had never seen such a phenonon before, so she knew he was different from the people she had t in her entire life.
"We have chosen the right person to entrust our daughter’s life." He believed Veylina’s future would be bright at Ren’s side.
As they were praising Ren, a massive golden dragon materialized in the sky.
*Roar...
The dragon let out a thunderous roar, shaking the ground and swaying the trees.
Everyone across the kingdom instantly covered their ears.
So scread in pain and dropped to their knees, while the rest felt like their souls were being violently shaken.
Ren had awakened the Mark of Divinity, so his breakthrough affected everything around him, especially those of the dragon race.
After he finished breaking through, Ren opened his eyes and smiled softly.
’Great! My Warrior class has broken through to Transcendent rank!’
