As soon as the words fell and were heard by everyone, Marianna ran forward but the n around the stage held her back and she scread hysterically. "No! Turn it off! Turn it OFF! It’s a lie! Everything is a lie! He is lying! Turn it off!!"
Ephyra ignored Marianna’s hysterics, her gaze locked on the crowd as she let the room absorb the damning revelations. The ballroom was a sea of stunned faces, whispers swelling into an uneasy murmur. Eliot Allen stepped forward, his expression a mask of fury, disbelief, and pain.
Enough of this madness," Eliot growled, his voice cutting through the tension. He turned to Marianna, his jaw tight with barely restrained anger. "You not only deceived , you lied to , making believe Myra was my daughter, you sent n to kill my daughter and you were even the one who killed Elara."
Marianna’s wide, tear-filled eyes darted between Eliot and Ephyra. "Please, Eliot! I can explain! This isn’t what it looks like!" she pleaded, her voice cracking. "She’s twisting everything—"
"Enough of your lies," Eliot thundered, his voice like a thunderclap. "There is no redemption for you now. The evidence is irrefutable Everyone here heard and watched it, we not only heard how you asked that man to kill Ephyra for you, but we also saw this clearly. So don’t you dare try to deny it!"
Marianna imdiately held his hand and shook her head, "Eliot, please you have to believe . I love you, I love you so much. You love too, don’t you? Isn’t that why you married and accepted Myra when she was a baby? Please, it’s all a lie. Myra is your daughter! She is your daughter! You have to believe ! And yes! I poisoned your late wife because I wanted to be your wife, I couldn’t stand the thought of another woman being with you, and being the only one people recognized with you! I was jealous and I didn’t think! I just– I–" She held his face and looked at him with pleading eyes. "Please don’t believe it, she is lying! She set everything up to fra because she hates ! I’m sure you know that Ephyra wasn’t the sa after her accident. That’s because she wasn’t her forr self! Everything she did in front was pretense! The real her, the real her is a cruel–"
A hard slap t her face and she fell to the floor, her hand clutching her face as she slowly turned to look up at Eliot with wide eyes. "Y-you slapped ?"
"Shut your mouth! Shut your fucking mouth! You have no right to speak of Ephyra when you are so evil!" Eliot’s hands clenched into fists at his sides as he turned his gaze on Marianna, his face pale with rage. "You poisoned Elara?" His voice was turned low, trembling with barely contained fury. "You killed my wife, the mother of my child, just to take her place? And you still have the nerve to say you are being frad? That’s it is all a lie?"
"I... I didn’t an for it to happen!" Marianna wailed, tears streaming down her face. "I only wanted to be with you! I didn’t know it would lead to this! Please, Eliot, I—"
Eliot cut her off with a glare so cold it silenced the room. His voice was steady, deadly. "You didn’t know it would lead to this? What did you think would happen when you poisoned the woman I loved? When you brought deceit and murder into this family? Did you think the truth would never surface?"
Marianna’s sobs grew louder, but Eliot stepped back as if her presence repulsed him. "You disgust , Marianna. You played with lives, manipulated , and destroyed everything this family stood for. And as for Myra,"—he turned his piercing gaze on the trembling girl—"you’re no better. You’ve lived a lie, thrived off my resources, and now the truth has co to light. You both are nothing to ."
Myra cried out, stepping forward. "Father, please! I didn’t know! I thought I was your daughter—I swear I didn’t know about her lies! I didn’t—"
"Stop calling Father!" Eliot’s voice thundered, silencing her. "You were complicit in this charade. Whether you knew the details or not, you thrived off her sches. You humiliated Ephyra, tornted her, and played along with the lies. My blood does not run in your veins, and I will never acknowledge you again."
Myra collapsed to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably. The crowd’s whispers grew louder, and the judgnt in their gazes was palpable.
The ballroom erupted into a cacophony of whispers, murmurs, and outright exclamations as the shocking revelations settled in.
"I can’t believe this is happening right in front of us," one guest murmured, her eyes wide with fascination. "This is like sothing out of a drama!"
"Right? I an, the Allen family is the talk of the city, but this? It’s on another level," another replied, clutching her phone as she continued recording.
A group of younger attendees, mostly students from St. Aldric’s Academy, huddled together, so stifling giggles while others wore expressions of disbelief. "This is wild," one of them whispered. "Who knew Ephyra had this in her?"
"Forget that," another added, smirking. "Marianna and Myra just got obliterated in front of everyone. This is better than any soap opera I’ve seen."
"Do you think she’ll upload the DNA tests to the school forums?" a student joked, earning a few laughs.
An older woman gasped, clutching her pearls. "I simply can’t believe it. Marianna always seed so refined. How could she stoop to sothing so vile?"
"Believe it," her companion replied grimly.
"The evidence is undeniable. But what shocks more is Eliot. How could he not see through her for all these years?"
"Disgraceful," a man in a tailored suit hissed under his breath. "To think Marianna and Myra paraded around like they were better than everyone else."
"And that poor girl," his wife added, nodding toward Ephyra. "She endured all of this while being called illegitimate? She’s stronger than I ever gave her credit for."
"I’ll never look at Myra the sa way again," another guest said bitterly. "She always acted so high and mighty, and now we know why—she was living a lie."
"And Eliot Allen, so blinded by lust and lies that he let this woman poison his family. Pathetic," another guest spat, shaking his head.
In a corner, a group of teachers from St. Aldric’s Academy whispered among themselves, their faces pale.
"I never imagined Mr. Allen could be so... negligent," one teacher whispered to a colleague, her face pale.
"And Ephyra... I’ve never seen her like this. She was always so quiet in school. How could she have been hiding so much pain?" another teacher wondered aloud.
"Well, now it’s different." a third chid in, staring at Ephyra. "The girl standing there—so calm, so composed—that’s not the timid Ephyra we knew. She’s completely different."
Journalists and reporters, who had been invited to cover the glamorous ball, now stood with their caras rolling, capturing every mont.
"This is going to be the q scandal of the year," one whispered to his colleague.
"No kidding. The fall of the Allen family, live and uncensored. This footage is going to break the internet," the other replied, adjusting her microphone.
Dozens of students held their phones high, livestreaming the drama to social dia.
