"The first host, Brys, failed the task."
"What?" I yelled, shocked by his words.
What in the seven damned levels of hell is he talking about?
"Just like you," he scrolled through his upgraded gadget, "he was a transmigrator. The system XXX46 has 10 worlds. This is the first world for you, and the start to the others."
I squinted at him, confused by everything I’m hearing. What’s wrong with Fan today? Could it be that the new gadget is ssing with his mind? What’s with the system number?
"In each world, you have a task, and that’s to get the Male protagonist to fall in love with you. After the completion of each task, you will be sent to a new world where—"
"But you said I will return to Earth!"
"That was a bug. This is the real task." He said in a professional tone, sounding older than his body.
"But, why do I need to do this? Why are there different Storms in the world? Who created those words?" I sniffed.
"He was the one. You see, he was once a happy Alpha, who fell in love with a golden Oga —no one knows who the Oga is — However, the Oga betrayed him. As a result, he split his heart into ten worlds. Each of the worlds holds a different Storm. In this one, he’s more of a dense Alpha, eager for love. However, the main tasks are in the others. But you must be warned. No matter what you do, don’t trigger his hate system!" Fan shivered as if he were already imagining how he will, should his hate system be triggered. "You have to help him heal, so his mories and emotions will rge."
"But, I can’t—"
"Don’t worry, my lovely host, I trust in your abilities. Not only do you have to work, but there are benefits! Each ti you get the Male protagonist’s points in favour of you go up by 10, you will get so benefits which will be important to you in the future." He smiled, "right now, I’m activating the system and—"
"What of the comic?"
"Comic? Oh, baby. The comic rewrites itself based on the current transmigrator. You see, the original Brys caused a major controversy among our fans. That was why you were chosen." He snapped his fingers and the system disappeared, "if you fail your task, there is only one punishnt, death!"
Oh, oh.
I have already failed the mission before it got started. "What if Storm dies?" I asked as I discreetly glanced at the door.
"You die!" He narrowed his eyes at , looking damned murderous.
I gulped, "what if he’s dead as we speak?" I thrust the knife into the left side of his chest, I got his heart, alright.
"Dead?" He placed his hand under his jaw. "That’s not possible. I would have known if he died. But Storm is very much alive." He winked at , "the countdown starts now. Good luck, host. If you need , just call out to the Almighty Cute Fan!" He snapped his fingers and disappeared.
I hastily rose to my feet.
Fan said Storm is still alive. Does that an I missed it? Could it be that he was only wounded?
I threw the door open and ran out of the room, with the door banging close behind . I hurried over to the place where I saw him, only to discover there wasn’t any Alpha. Not even a drop of blood was on the floor.
"Storm!" I called out to him, hoping he might appear just like Fan. But when he didn’t, I turned and headed towards the Alphas’ dorm.
The students were still out, which is a good thing. Else, I would have been in danger of inhaling different pheromones.
I reached his door within ten minutes and knocked on it. "Storm, are you in there? Open up!" I knocked on the door, hoping to get a reply.
"Storm!" I continued to bang on the door like a madman. "Storm, I—"
The door to his room got opened, but not by him. It was opened by his friend, Theo, who has an enraged expression on his face.
"What do you want?" He exited the room and closed the door before him before he turned to face . "What are you doing here?" He folded his arms with a glare.
The expression on his face was so frosty, it seed like I’m looking at a miniature version of the principal.
I swallowed, "is Storm in there? I need to see him."
Ever since I ca to this comic, I have always considered Storm to be the Alpha, who bullies others. However, the Storm I t isn’t the sa. I was too blinded by my hate that I failed to see how different he is from the other Storm.
Thankfully, he’s not dead. Else, I would have been in deep trouble.
"Why do you want to see him? So, you can finish what you started? Haven’t you gotten tired of this?" The Theo who once smiled at , stared down at as if I’m the worst scum. And I felt like that.
I took a step back as if his words slapped . "No," I frantically shook my head, "I... I ca to apologize. I didn’t an to do what I did!"
If only I had no knife in hand when he confessed, things wouldn’t have got to this point. I might have either pushed him or slapped him, not stab him!
"Huh?" He scoffed, "tell that to the blind. You didn’t wish to hurt him, yet you thrust a knife into his heart. Who will dare believe you?" He wrinkled his nose as he stared down at . "I’m disappointed in you. I can’t believe I forced my friend to confess to scum like you!" He turned his back to , "Storm doesn’t wish to see you —ever. I will advise you to keep your distance from him. He doesn’t need a scheming Oga like you in his life. He has had many problems." He entered the room, and banged the door behind him, while I stood gazing at the door, with my heart wrenched.
