I instantly turned towards the gate at the sight of the sa Alpha I was trying to evade.
Sothing wasn't right at all!
In the comic, the Alpha didn't arrive until the next day. That was how he was able to et Brys who was also late.
However, the said Alpha was standing behind .
"Hey, Oga." He called out.
"Oh my, the one you are trying to evade is right behind you." My stupid system chuckled.
"Just shut up!" I snapped at him.
At the sa ti, the gate to the academy got opened by one of the new oga teachers they got.
"Good morning, teacher!" I greeted.
Without further wasting ti, I ran into the academy and dashed for the third building.
I only turned when I got to the building. However, the Alpha was still standing by the gate, with a scowl on his face as he conversed with the teacher.
"That was close." I placed a palm on my chest.
"Do you think you can continue evading him? This is a story, Brys. I hope you are aware that everything has been predestined?" My stupid system raised a brow.
"Predestined my foot." I strode to the front door and knocked. "I won't let Brys go through all he went through."
I'm not as dense as the Brys the stupid author wrote about. I have a life, and I'm here to show everyone what an Oga is capable of.
******
As luck will have it, I was assigned to one of the rooms allocated to the Ogas in the academy.
This way, I have indirectly avoided the last room in the dorm, which happened to be on the wings of the Alphas.
That room was one of Brys' problems, and I've solved it. The next is to find a way to get rid of Storm before he develops the thoughts to harm .
"As much as I love how to quiet your cottage was, I think this place is dope." My system plopped down on the bed beside the window. "God, it's been long since I lay on sothing so soft."
I frowned at his words. "Where did you co from?"
Could he also be like ?
He shrugged. "I guess I ca from the sa place as you. One mont, I was going grocery shopping, and the next mont, I found myself here." He placed his hands under him and glanced up at the ceiling.
"You were human?" I sat down on the bed opposite the one my system was on. "Where did you live? Which part of the planet—"
A knock on the door cut my words short.
"Your roommate is here." My system smirked. "You might have escaped the last room in the dorm, but now, you've earned yourself a roommate." He giggled as if there were anything funny with what he just said.
"Well, it's better this way." I rose from the bed and headed over to the door.
Had Brys been fortunate to have a roommate, I doubt he would have ended the way he did.
Perhaps, his roommate might have spoken so sense into his dense ntality.
I opened the door and was t with the blinding smile of an Oga.
His red hair which was so much like mine was tied up in a bun, with a few cascading down his pretty face.
The oga in front of was just a head-foot shorter than .
"Hi, I'm Ray," his green eyes sparkled. "I'm your roommate, I guess."
"I'm — Brys." I moved to the side and gestured for him to enter. "I'm pleased to et you."
Ray chuckled. "Thank you. I'm so damned excited to start a new year in the academy!"
" too." I closed the door and faced him.
"So, which side are you taking?" He turned to with bright sparkling eyes.
Jeez man, can you be less excited?
"The one by the window." I pointed to the one my system was lying on.
The damn fool was already sound asleep.
So much for being a system.
"That's great!" Ray hurried over to the other bed and dropped his bag beside him. "Which class are you in? Beginner or Interdiate?"
"Aren't we all beginners?" I went over to my side of the room and sat on the bed.
"Oh." He nervously chuckled. "I presud you were already in the Interdiate classes."
"Nah, I'm just a beginner. And you?" I raised a brow.
"I'm also a beginner. It's simply that I studied here a year ago as a visiting student. This is my first proper year in the academy."
"Oh." I nodded.
In the comic, many students were privileged enough to be visiting students. Only a few attended those classes, and Storm was among them.
Ray rose from the bed he was sitting on and started arranging his books and clothes.
"Do you know who Storm is?"
The book, Ray was holding, clattered to the ground.
He turned to with a scared expression on his face. "Wh... Why did you ask?" He stuttered.
I shrugged. "I t him when I ca. He—"
Ray ran over to . "Avoid him!" He knelt in front of and placed a hand on my thighs. "Storm is bad news. Avoid anything relating to him!"
His actions made raise a brow. "Why? Is he that bad?"
I pretended as if I weren't aware of his bad that damned Alpha is.
"He's the worst! Don't ever get yourself alone in a room with him. I heard he eats Ogas for lunch." Ray looked frantic.
Well, the rumours weren't all lies.
Storm does 'eat' ogas for lunch. Brys was a perfect example of that.
All Storm had to do was fake a small smile, and he had Brys wrapped around his pinky.
"You don't have to worry about ." I grinned. "Alphas are dirty. I don't like them."
"Good. We Ogas need to stick together. We can't allow the Alphas to bully us any more." Ray rose from his kneeling position. "Since I'm more knowledgeable about this academy than you, we need to stick together. This way, we can watch each other's back."
"That's a deal." I bead. "I'm glad to make your acquittance, Ray."
" too." He grinned.
This is the first step. I've managed to evade the Alpha and the last room in the dorm. And I've made a new friend.
Things are looking good from my side.
