"That old woman must know sothing! Faora, you continue to hold off that Earthling; I'm going to grab that old lady!" General Zod shouted this at the top of his lungs; a conservative estimate would be that people within a two-mile radius could hear him.
This was his brilliance. He could inform his subordinate of his objective while simultaneously causing trouble for Thea's actions. The opponent had run all the way here to protect an Earthling old lady; Zod didn't believe for a second that they weren't related.
This was a naked open conspiracy (Yangmou). And indeed, as he expected, Thea was affected.
That old lady didn't run far?! Thea suppressed Faora in both martial arts and strength. She had already gained the upper hand, having knocked away the short knife emitting electric arcs.
Hearing Zod's shout, Thea was truly startled. This Arican old lady really isn't afraid of death! The ground is shaking like this, and she still won't run?
Thea kicked Faora away and turned her head to look at Martha Kent's position.
Holy crap! She saw the old lady holding a dog, hiding behind a big tree, hand shading her eyes as she observed the battlefield. She actually thought running 300 ters away was safe? Seeing Zod showing a tendency to rush, Thea couldn't bother finishing off Faora. The thrusters under her feet operated at full power, preparing to intercept him.
But an accident happened. Whether it was Thea or Zod, their thinking remained within the range of normal people. They didn’t expect there were entities in this world that completely defied common sense.
A streak of red and blue tore across the sky from an extrely distant location. Accompanied by a massive sonic boom, he smashed hard into General Zod, carrying the battle-hardened general several thousand ters away. The furious Clark raised his sandbag-sized fists and hamred them into Zod's face with desperate fury. "YOU DARE THREATEN MY MOTHER!!!"
The inertia was so great that the two crashed through the farm, through the highway, and destroyed countless buildings along the way, finally stopping in a small town five miles away from the Kent Farm.
Thea glanced twice and stopped looking. Superman still had his old problem: his attacks lacked structure. Zod's martial arts were far superior to his, but under the angry Superman's fists, Zod could only barely maintain his defense.
His helt was quickly broken. The mont his skin touched sunlight, his Super Senses were activated. A massive amount of chaotic, disordered information flooded his mind, causing him splitting headaches and dropping his combat power to rock bottom.
Thea knew their ship would pick up Zod soon. The next ti Zod ca to Earth, he wouldn't be soone she could deal with. Super Senses, Super Strength, Heat Vision—once that whole stack of abilities was online, it was better to leave such a tough guy to his fellow countryman, Superman.
"Hey, your General got knocked away. It seems his strength isn't that great either. Co work for ; I really appreciate your abilities!" Faora, who had been kicked, stood up swaying. Having been suppressed by Thea for so long, her armor was severely damaged, though not yet broken.
"Bullshit!" Facing Thea's blatant battlefield recruitnt attempt, Faora was furious. She didn't have Super Vision right now, but she knew Zod was being beaten by Superman, his vital signs dropping rapidly, and a ship was already going to support him. Although she swore back fiercely, a shadow of doubt still crept into her heart. Was the invincible General defeated?
Thea, who was good at brainwashing people, sensed that sliver of change. If not guided correctly, this shadow would quickly be filtered out by her subjective consciousness. But what ti was it now? They were in the middle of combat.
Faora's abilities were excellent. She had brains, combat power, and a certain vision, plus that excellent Kryptonian bloodline. She was the third subordinate Thea prepared to recruit for the Yellow Lantern Corps. As a long-term adjutant, she could handle most tasks. Whether taking over the Yellow Lantern Corps later or fighting on Earth, she would be a capable assistant.
But all of this needed to be done covertly. Superman could know part of it—after all, she was his compatriot—but the US Governnt absolutely could not know.
Thea's Eye of Horus had already seen the Kryptonian fighter jet pick up General Zod. At the sa ti, US military planes were rapidly approaching her. Thea no longer held back. She channeled a massive amount of water-aspect magic into the armor. Because of the Shark God Kamo, this armor wasn't particularly sensitive to various attributes, but only Water Attribute could be amplified to 200% power through this suit.
If she persuaded her directly, and the opponent bowed down instantly—Thea's "Talk no Jutsu" wasn't that profound. She prepared to capture Faora alive and ta her slowly.
But the opponent had decent combat power; she wasn't so ripe waterlon waiting to be picked. Plus, the US military was approaching, so there wasn't enough ti.
Before this, Thea indeed wouldn't have had a good thod and could only give up and wait for the next opportunity. But the passive attribute of this armor gave her a new option: Underwater Combat!
Underwater, her combat power would increase drastically while the opponent would definitely be weakened. Plus, the seabed had excellent concealnt. Presumably, the Atlanteans wouldn't snitch to the Pentagon!
"Co with !" Two dark blue magical tentacles extended from Thea's armor. Amidst Faora's confused gaze, they grabbed her and flew out of Kansas, heading straight south—Oklahoma, Texas... Faora struggled desperately, but the magical tentacles bound her extrely tightly. In the end, she was dragged along as Thea plunged headfirst into the depths of the Gulf of xico.
"What are you doing!" Faora roared in anger. As Thea expected, their armor could operate underwater, but the capability was extrely weak. Technically, her suit was rated for underwater combat—but only barely. As for the extent of this function? The constant alarms sounding on her armor said it all.
"I'm taking you to see the vastness of the universe. Your vision is too narrow; you have no idea how big the world outside is!" Thea spouted nonsense while swimming toward the deep sea area.
Faora was so angry she almost spat out a mouthful of blood. Although she had heard this once before, she still felt these words were asking for a beating. She makes us Kryptonians sound like uncivilized natives!
In the past, they were the ones full of superiority using these words on others. Now that the situation was reversed, how could she not feel stifled?
The most crucial part was that, deep down, Faora actually believed Thea.
Earlier, General Zod only vaguely knew about the Green Lantern Corps. Out of caution, he didn't argue with Thea, which looked a bit like tacit admission.
Faora, who always viewed him as a leader, misunderstood this as confirmation. Subconsciously, the concept that Kryptonians were frogs in a well arose. It could be said that General Zod's caution inadvertently helped Thea.
Thea's swimming speed was extrely fast. Although she was carrying a person and Faora was struggling constantly, her speed still exceeded 1000 nautical miles per hour. No marine life or submarine could catch up to her speed.
Faora's combat suit was already severely damaged. The imnse pressure of the deep sea accelerated the damage rate. Initially, she managed to resist a bit, but later, her consciousness beca a bit blurry, leaving only chanical punching and kicking.
