As he continued on the pathway, individuals argued with street vendors, cheap knights filled the area, ones that are probably not that much stronger than the weakest cadets the course has to offer, had cheap chainmail armour as well.

"You look like you’re trying to get sothing to eat!" One vendor yelled in Zylus’s direction, but he shrugged them off. "Co on! A nice aty al, what do you say?"

"No, thank you." Zylus walked past where his bar was placed; the aroma felt smoky coming off the vendor’s cooking pan in the back.

One of the knights, much less ’security’, walked past Zylus, their gazes t, tightly.

"There it is," Zylus whispered, walking to the far right where a street vendor selling clothes that looked refurbished was located.

...

"Hello, good-looking young man!" A woman ca out of the shop to greet him, "You look like you need sothing to wear on a date!"

"How’d you know-?"

"Don’t worry about for now," she cut him off, "but worry more about yourself."

Clothes ran all over the walls inside the massive tent; they all hung onto a tal cylinder between intervals and were levitating on top of it using hangers.

She zood past many in an instant, one hand elegantly passing through each section of an elegantly fabricated suit, tie, belt and dress pants.

"Here you go," she pulled one out, "this will do."

She gave it to Zylus to hold, a neat light blue suit that ca with a navy blue tie in his hands, which felt comfortable.

"Do I try it on at least?" Zylus asked her, as she continued fingering through the hangers.

"What does this look like?" She laughed, "royalty? You either buy it or you don’t, you look broke either way."

"What was that-?!"

As soon as one of his nerves struck, he realised one thing...

He’s genuinely broke. Broke as shit. Until this point, he’s never gotten a single di from being a cadet, not even once. His goal was revenge, not to gain money. He didn’t need any currency to get that revenge, though, but now he wanted to find a way to get money.

"Hey," Zylus called out, "how can you gain money using strength here?"

Her gaze t his, "either beco a cheap knight like one of those guys outside or fight in the colosseum... pretty much it." She said towards him.

"How about becoming a soldier through the cadet course?"

The lady took back her suit, laughing, "Only the absolute strongest can beco a soldier, barely one per cent."

Zylus let out a sigh. He wasn’t going to make money today; it would probably take him a while to beco a soldier, one that matched the top ten at least. And the cadet course itself usually spans about two to three years, so it wouldn’t have affected him at all, even if he wanted to disprove her thought process.

"How strong are the people inside the colosseum?" Zylus asked, wanting to go there by today.

"Well," she said, "people there are usually Demons who have been criminalised to a death sentence, and now are being used for entertainnt and a source of inco by the head." The lady continued, "Of course, they’re extrely strong, but they’re criminals, so nobody cares if they were to die."

"Ahhhh!"

"And that’s them," the woman whispered, looking for more custors.

Zylus piqued at where the sound was coming from, and far beyond, to about a hundred ters forward, was a stone curved colosseum, similar to the one he fought in back at the academy.

"By chance," Zylus whispered towards the lady, tapping her shoulder, "can I sign up?"

She laughed it off, "It’s the dayti, and you’re asking that? Of course not! You have to be a criminal; they won’t just let you in."

Zylus started to think, "What if I sneaked in as a false criminal right now?"

"Are you gonna fucking buy the piece or not! I don’t have ti to waste! Ti is money! And you’re a waste of it right now!" She yelled, snatching the piece of clothing back onto the hanger. "Money you earn inside the colosseum can only be traded by the guards; you’re not allowed to go outside that hazardous place."

"Wait for ," Zylus whispered, "I’ll be back with ten tis the money I would need to pay you." He said, moving past the vendor, "Take care now."

She was about to linger on the thought of him scamming her, but then realised how much ten tis the money would actually do for her, and possibly her family, if she had one.

He continued to walk past the street vendors when, suddenly, he stopped by a mask in front of him, coincidentally lying on the ground.

Zylus looked around. Maybe it was a stolen piece dropped, but no vendor ca to confiscate it.

"What’s this...?" He wondered out loud, "This mask, it’s heavy."

The mask, just big enough to fit onto his face, was black, entirely darkened. An open hole for his mouth, his two eyes, and two holes for his nostrils as well, and nothing covered his hair, of course, his luscious attribute.

He bent over, picking it up into his hands, as he grinned, "This is just perfect."

To get into the colosseum as a criminal, first, he would have to alter his appearance and personality so that when he entered, hoping they wouldn’t scan his ID. This was all so he could make his escape right after receiving a pretty penny; it was perfect... all too perfect.

"My new criminal na..." Zylus whispered, twisting the mask sideways, as he began placing it from left to right onto his manly appearance, a darkened aura radiated from it.

"My na," he opened his arms wide, grinning, "shall be..."

"Noelle Crusifix!" He yelled, not too high, but just enough for street vendors to take a second to look at what he was doing, just to turn their backs away right after.

"Woah mister, you’re so cool." Two kids looked up towards him; they were short, but Zylus was still able to see them through the mask holes.

"I know, I know." He whispered, walking past them, "Now, how do I get to the colosseum, young lad?" He asked the little kids, bending over.

"Just use the northern path right there, it’ll get you to the northern entrance." The kid said, pointing at the path that was restricted with tal gates on the edges, so that nobody could go past where the pathway led.

"Thank you, young ones..."

"By Mister!"

"See you later!"
