Chapter 1412: Chapter 139: And You Still Say You’re Not a Devil?
The leader of the revolutionaries, Maru, later requested a private conversation with Ann, and Ann readily agreed.
Only the two women were in the room.
Maru began her revolutionary work thirty years ago—after reaching adulthood, she escaped from the Clan Farm, and step by step, she established the human Revolutionary Army, simultaneously creating a secret place where humans could live without being hunted by bloodsuckers.
Maru now is nearly fifty years old, but she gives the impression of a woman in her early thirties… her body, though inplete, is always radiating confidence and steadfast determination in her eyes.
She is different from Ann… she knows Ann is a changeable, self-serving person who can waver between betrayal and loyalty, akin to a ticking time bomb—yet only such a person would dare to bee a secret mole within the Clan Farm.
She wouldn’t be discovered by bloodsuckers as she blends in with other assimilated humans, trying every possible way to please the Noble Masters.
But the Ann in front of her now seems somewhat different from the Ann Maru had known all these years.
Ann did not speak at first but simply looked at Maru’s right arm and suddenly said, “Big Sister Maru, your right arm seems a bit different from the last time we met.”
Maru casually opened the palm of her metal right arm, grasping her fingers, and said calmly, “I recently received some help.”
After a moment of silence, Ann said, “Besides the bloodsuckers of the Thirteen Clans, it seems there are still many weirdos with special hobbies in the Unhuman Domain.”
She knew very well what the woman called Maru before her had gone through to create the Revolutionary Army, even for simple supplies.
Selling her body, pleasing certain magicians with peculiar tastes, or voluntarily being a test subject for some wanted witches… and so forth.
Anything she could do, Ann would never even dare to imagine.
“Speaking of which, it’s been three years since we last met,” Maru suddenly said, “In these three years, thanks to your secret information, we successfully rescued thirty-nine humans from the Torrido Clan’s Slaughterhouse… They are living well now. Although I didn’t know you were involved, I still want to personally thank you on their behalf.”
Ann waved her hand, “Big Sister Maru, we’ve been dealing with each other more than once or twice already… There’s no need for such emotional cards, let’s discuss the matters at hand first.”
After pondering for a moment, she said, “Given the circumstances, how do you plan to cooperate… I can’t possibly send the humans I painstakingly rescued to live here just because you occupied this place. You know, it’s true you won here, but besides Torrido, there are twelve other branches in the Thirteen Clans… and the Thirteen Clans occupy only the top tier of the Vampire World; there are more bloodsuckers below. You may not be aware of just how many bloodsuckers exist in this world. Now that you’ve taken over this Clan Farm, you have essentially disturbed the fundamental interests of the entire Vampire World. What you will face next may not be as simple as you think.”
Ann said, “I need more warriors; I can provide them with sufficient weapons to fight against the bloodsuckers. Big Sister Maru, if we don’t declare open war, do you think that you alone, or that pathetically weak Revolutionary Army, can save how many humans trapped in the major Clan Farms? A hundred? Two hundred? Indeed, over these thirty years, you have done a lot and saved many people… But meanwhile, far more humans have died at the hands of the major clans than you’ve saved.”
Maru was silent.
Ann continued, “The Revolutionary Army is still too weak, after all. You don’t have enough resources to develop and grow. At your current pace, you will forever only make minor disturbances, incapable of shaking the foundation of the Thirteen Clans. For your safety, you must hide cautiously, which naturally restricts your development… In the end, apart from the oppressed humans born in the Farm, who else in the Unhuman Domain could stand out to save the humans in the Farm?”
Maru could only smile wryly, as she was well aware of the current reality Ann described.
Ann sighed, “Let’s suppose the Revolutionary Army remains undetected and that you can continuously save individual humans… but have you considered, Big Sister Maru, that you are merely human? No matter how vigorous your energy, there will e a day when you will weaken. We humans can be hurt, grow old, and die, but as long as bloodsuckers can drink our blood, they need not worry about these things. So, are you confident that the Revolutionary Army can continue operating once you die?”
She fell silent once again.
Ann shifted her seating posture, “Big Sister Maru, your vision is to rescue all humans trapped by the clans, isn’t it?”
She nodded.
Ann said, “If you don’t go to war, do you think you can take care of all the humans here… I mean, those people who are currently with me?”
Maru’s leader smiled bitterly, “There are far more humans in this Farm than are currently living at our base… It is simply impossible to acmodate them in the short term.”
Ann, however, said, “The Torrido Clan has been repelled by us… Even though their archduke hasn’t appeared yet, in this battle, almost all upper-level nobility have perished, and their elites have been annihilated. So, whether you admit it or not, the war has already begun. So, whether you join or not, I will fight to the end.”
Maru looked seriously at Ann and suddenly said, “You… have changed.”
Ann replied calmly, “What if I told you I’ve actually died once… would you believe it?”
“I need time to consider.” Maru said slowly.
Ann stood up and nodded, saying, “Okay, but don’t take too long. Because I do need manpower now… At least, before other bloodsuckers discover this place and plan to act, I want to turn this Farm into a defensible castle.”
With that, Ann quickly walked out of the room.
Maru felt that the original Ann would appear less and less in the future until she disappeared… She would bee the goddess of the people outside.
“All because she died once…” Maru couldn’t help but ponder.
…
…
“Is she… really the Golden Dragon?”
Miro-chan… or rather Fafnir was laboriously dragged out of the storeroom under the staircase by Miss Maria.
The Golden Dragon had not yet e back to his senses—it seems it wasn’t just knocked out by China’s true dragon but probably also subjected to some kind of true dragon restriction.
“So this is the Golden Dragon, but I’m not sure if it’s the one you’re looking for… Miss Maria Top Hat,” the maid said with a smile.
This Septcolor Geranium Master is so stingy… Maria doesn’t even know how she offended her.
But acceptance is all that matters, no need to go against wealth.
“That being said…” Maria was more concerned about the Golden Dragon at the moment, “The reason the Magician’s Association has been unable to find a mate for the Golden Dragon is because it’s a cross-dressing pervert… doesn’t it actually prefer female organisms?”
“That might be a possibility too,” Boss Luo suddenly flashed a mischievous smile, “Miss Maria, if it’s just psychological willingness, maybe you won’t need to resort to drug methods at all.”
Maria rubbed her chin thoughtfully, “It’s the Golden Dragon and also Miro-chan… Honestly, anyone who has read Miro-chan’s column would think she’s a vibrant, beautiful girl bursting with a girl’s heart… Am I really idolizing a cross-dressing Golden Dragon?”
She suddenly felt confused, as if the remaining hopes as an older single woman were also shattered by someone.
Maria suddenly shivered, slapped her thigh, and said, “Actually, this can be solved! Just give it enough aphrodisiac, even a sow can mount! No creature can resist instinct! Who cares if it prefers females or males!”
It seems that a true dragon once used such means initially.
This involuntarily gave Boss Luo a subconscious thought—whether it’s older women who tend to think so straightforwardly.
He even thought of Ren Ziling and quickly reached a conclusion—if she were to face this problem, she’d probably have the same line of thought.
So, Maria, the Godly Land Dragon, and Ren Ziling, in some aspects, seem to have similar thought processes.
“What do you all think? Any suggestions?”
“Oh… Sorry, I was a bit distracted,” Boss Luo smiled slightly, “Hmm, I think perhaps solving the problem fundamentally might be better, because the use of drugs… Seems the reason why the Golden Dragon wrecked havoc yesterday was due to being fed quite a lot of so-called aphrodisiacs.”
“So someone has tried it already? Was it someone from the Headquarters of the Magician’s Association?” Maria paced back and forth irritably, having long forgotten she was still in the Clan Farm, with her mind fully on the Golden Dragon. She suddenly looked at the hard-to-e-by Master Septcolor Geranium.
This paper bag has been worn for a whole day and night and has encountered so many dangerous things… It feels wrong not to use this Master of Secret Medicine considering this adventure.
“Master, can you make a Love Potion exceeding six stars?” Maria asked bluntly.
It seems the maid had already guessed the witch’s intent, thought for a moment, and said, “Is this your plan?”
“There’s nothing love can’t solve!” Maria said at this moment, puffing her chest, “As long as it falls hopelessly in love with a female, naturally there will be a need to reproduce! Actually, I think the Magician’s Association must have known the Golden Dragon’s problem long ago and should have considered this; they just lack the ability to produce a potion exceeding six stars!”
Since this mission was directly brought to the maid by Maria, Boss Luo didn’t plan to step in directly this time, just to be a spectator—though the final benefit would still be his… and the altar’s.
Seeming to sense the master’s intention to observe, the maid glanced at the Golden Dragon, then at Maria, suddenly smiled and said, “Are you sure, just a Love Potion exceeding six stars.”
Maria instinctively wanted to nod—probably no one in the entire magician world can refuse a Septcolor Geranium Master’s creation.
But she immediately restrained her affirmation and asked cautiously, “Master… May I ask about the remuneration for this potion?”
“Indeed,” the maid chuckled softly, “Let me think, according to the previous rules…”
“I’ll prepare the materials!” Maria hurriedly said, “The payment will be calculated separately!”
“I need you,” the maid said unexpectedly.
Maria couldn’t help but tremble, instinctively pointing at herself, “You need me… Need me? Is it that you need me to do something? Please tell me, Master, I will try my best to fulfill it.”
“No, I just need you,” the maid said calmly, “Or someone else would do… Teresa, or yourself, either is fine.”
Maria frowned and tentatively asked, “Master… so, you need me, or Teresa to help you with something?”
The maid suddenly squinted her eyes, “Faking ignorance is a waste of time… Of course, if you aren’t genuinely intending to plete this transaction, that’s fine.”
Maria broke into a cold sweat.
Having long known about Master Septcolor Geranium’s affairs, she knew that many who once sought this master’s potions never spoke of their past experiences—essentially, she should have been cautious, but watching this master eat young grass along the way, she forgot the master’s initially fearful side… it’s her own excessive relaxation.
“Master…” Maria’s plexion wasn’t good at the moment, she tentatively asked, “Can you change to another condition?”
The maid touched her face and said, “Indeed… this condition might be a bit forcing. After all, I’m not a Devil… changing a condition could work too.”
This master… turned out to be so easy to talk to?
Or is it because of love… Maria subconsciously looked at Luo Qiu sipping tea beside her, giving a thumbs up in her heart: well done!
Then, with Maria’s great anticipation, the maid slowly said, “Since you want a Love Potion exceeding six stars, why not sell me your lifetime of love as remuneration.”
Maria’s great expectations instantly fell apart, the whole person frozen in place… under the top hat, her mouth slightly opened, ultimately choosing not to say anything.
And you claim you’re not a devil?!
