Chapter 1327: Chapter 54: [Feeding]

In the vast circular chamber, the murmur of discussion never once stopped.

As for that Vampire Family in the Far East, the Upper Echelon Nobility of Torrido were clearly quite familiar with it—the long stretch of time allowed these beings of long life to remember many things, and of course, to forget many things as well.

“Was it called Takizawa… wasn’t it Ozawa or something? I only remember they were extremely inferior Beasts, like some kind of mutated seven-gilled eel!”

“I recall they were the result of some conversion experiment, or something along those lines… any of you ever gotten close to them?”

“I’m not interested in this sort of inferior species… Popoqi should know, right? This guy eats anything, concubines all over the mainland, the so‑called lust dragon among the bloodsuckers.”

“To be honest, I don’t remember if I’ve ever had one of them… seems like there was one called Lola, or Loli?”

The Upper Echelon Aristocrat whose name had been mentioned actually sank into serious contemplation at this point—judging from the rather massive silhouette behind the gauze curtain he occupied, his true body must be plump to a ridiculous degree… among the Vampire Clans, who were basically all above a certain standard of beauty, this Popoqi was probably something of an oddity.

“Quiet!”

Bazby’s voice rang out at just the right moment… making the many Upper Echelon Nobility fall silent from their whispering—he had, in fact, already given them enough time to digest the news.

Looking at the gathered Nobles, Bazby said expressionlessly, “After the incident, the Thirteen Clans’ investigation squad rushed over at once. And after a thorough investigation, the squad reached the conclusion that… this was a one‑sided massacre, and the attacker should have been only one individual… finished in a single night.”

“Just one?”

Their voices shifted from initial puzzlement to genuine astonishment.

Bazby said blandly, “Furthermore, because of issues with its bloodline, the Takizawa Family has long been rejected by most of us. But what I need to say is that the Family Head of the Takizawa Family had already evolved to a level approaching that of the Thirteen Everlasting Heart Group, and very likely could have bee the fourteenth member of the Everlasting Heart Group within a century.”

“He actually evolved to that level?!”

The astonished voices became low exclamations… for Bazby to say that the man might bee the fourteenth Everlasting Heart Group within a hundred years meant it was almost certainly true… this might even have already been tacitly acknowledged by the thirteen Everlasting Heart Group themselves—the Vampire Species were extremely sensitive about the Everlasting Heart Group; even Bazby, and behind him Bylegang Swift T. Toredo, clearly would not fabricate such a thing just to convince the others.

“To think someone could wipe out the Takizawa Family in a single night… who on earth is this enemy? Was it a private grudge against the Takizawa Family, or a provocation aimed at all bloodsuckers?”

“The origin of the enemy is unknown, and so is their purpose. All we know at present is that they definitely possess Power not inferior to the Everlasting Heart Group… and as of now, the Takizawa Family has only one survivor.”

Bazby said slowly, “He survived only because, when the Family met with disaster, he had been sent to the Unhuman Domain to study Farm management, and thus escaped the slaughter. After learning of the Family’s annihilation, he immediately came to the Supreme Council to weep and plead, asking us to find the killer… and the Supreme Council has already agreed to the request of this surviving member of the Takizawa Family.”

“We really don’t need to make such a fuss over a family of bloodsucking… sucking monsters that only evolved through mutation.” One fellow shook his head at this moment.

But Bazby said, “The Supreme Council has issued an order. Please inform your descendants or direct lines to return to the castle as soon as possible. As for any further actions to follow, you will be notified separately… for now, you may begin feeding.”

The Takizawa Family wiped out in a single night?

Too distant… that family of bloodsucking monsters had never been recognized by the mainstream of the Thirteen Clans—someone who might have bee the fourteenth of the Everlasting Heart Group within the next hundred years? But he was already dead, wasn’t he? A genius who’s already dead is, naturally, no genius at all.

pared to that sense of tension, the Upper Echelon Nobility at this moment were far more concerned with… the feeding to e.

Watching as their mood brightened in an instant, as they began to stare down at the stage like ravenous maggots, eyes gleaming, some even unable to wait any longer and stepping out from behind their gauze curtains, Bazby showed no reaction whatsoever. He simply withdrew slowly into the curtain, and then let out a soft sigh.

The reason he sighed was not the corruption of these Upper Echelon Nobles of the Torrido Clan, but because of what lay before him.

On the enormous throne, seated there was only a scarecrow stuffed with straw, arranged in a sitting posture… and on the chest of the scarecrow, a note had been pinned, bearing the name “Bylegang Swift T. Toredo.”

At the same time, on the stage, the “crops” were already being led up by Attendants.

Boys and girls, about twenty in all, their ages somewhere between fourteen and eighteen… young, and beautiful.

There were no shackles on their bodies, and they were all dressed in uniformly white, long one‑piece robes… as they walked onto the stage and faced the ring of upper seats, these boys and girls all revealed looks of obsession… they were then led, one by one, by the Attendants to stand before each Aristocrat.

A young boy entered a room, and at this moment came to a certain noblewoman’s door… the noblewoman had a presence one could never forget at a glance; every frown and smile of hers was like a spring breeze.

She now walked slowly up to the boy, gently stroking his cheek, and said softly, “Just look at you, it’s only been a month and you already seem so much thinner. Have you been working too hard lately? Or have you been secretly practicing alone late at night again?”

“It’s not like that… Mom.” The boy spoke timidly, “I‑I just wanted to be able to play your favorite piece all the way through this time, to make you happy.”

“Such a good child… e, over here.” The noblewoman’s gaze grew even more gentle as she took the boy’s hand and led him to the piano.

She took his hand and began pressing the Black and White keys with it, carefully and patiently teaching the boy… soft laughter and murmured words gradually floated out together with the sound of the piano…

In another room, the one who entered was a girl of about sixteen, in the bloom of youth—and at this moment, the corpulent Mr. Popoqi had already stood up directly and walked to meet her.

“Tony, my darling, did you miss me?”

The girl’s cheeks flushed; shyness blended with the delicate beauty of her face as she performed the formalities of the huge palace etiquette, “Tony greets Father.”

“e, I’ve prepared so many lovely outfits for you.” Popoqi narrowed his eyes and smiled. “All clothes you’ll like… e, my little darling, be my most beautiful model!”

“Yes… Father.”

The girl walked slowly to the wardrobe, her expression perfectly natural as, under Popoqi’s gaze, she removed the clothes from her body piece by piece, and then began slowly pulling on a pair of thin white stockings… her movements were unhurried, as if to allow Popoqi to see clearly every single gesture.

And Popoqi, camera in hand, walked back and forth in front of the girl… the sound of the shutter kept snapping.

“Oh! Wonderful, wonderful… Tony is so obedient! Remember to always be obedient in the future, and I’ll prepare even more beautiful clothes for you.”

Click, click, click, the shutter and the flash.

The boy was panting, collapsing to the ground from exhaustion, finally setting down the peachwood sword in his hands—at this time, a noble young man brought a bottle of water over to him.

“You’ve made good progress this time. Rest for ten minutes, then continue.”

“Okay! Brother! I’ll keep working hard!”

“Kai, who’s worked so hard today, is really amazing…”

Maybe mother and daughter, perhaps father and son, brothers, sisters, lovers, friends, teachers and students—up to and including masters and their servants.

Room after room, as if each were a different world… worlds that belonged only to the Upper Echelon Nobility and to this batch of boys and girls, each their own.

The time for “feeding” would last an entire day.

The door of the room was knocked on at this moment… an Attendant brought a girl into the room where Bazby was.

He was actually not an Aristocrat, but his status was special, so he too possessed the same “feeding” privileges as the Upper Echelon Nobility.

“Well then, Lord Bazby, I’ll take my leave.” After escorting the girl into the room, the Attendant slowly withdrew.

Only then did the girl suddenly throw herself into Bazby’s arms—and it was also at this moment that a touch of gentle smile finally appeared on Bazby’s perpetually cold face.

He held the girl, just standing there like that, the two of them seemingly both savoring this moment of embrace.

“Brother! You still haven’t had your hair trimmed properly! If you do this again next time, Mina will get angry!”

The girl let go of Bazby, puffed out her cheeks, looking all huffy and upset.

“It’s not that long.” Bazby only rubbed the fringe on his forehead, then patted the girl’s head and said softly, “You’ve been waiting half the day, you must be hungry… e, I prepared food for you.”

The girl… Mina brightened at once and walked happily toward where the food was laid out. “Wow, it’s all the stuff Mina likes to eat!! And there’s cake! The Supervisor said Mina isn’t allowed to eat too many sweets, said Mina’s gotten fatter again lately!”

“Just say I told you to eat.” Bazby walked slowly to stand behind her, a flicker of pain passing through his eyes.

“Then I won’t hold back!” The girl immediately began shoving big mouthfuls of cake into her mouth.

“Slow down.”

He would always carefully wipe the cream and cake crumbs stuck to the girl’s face… tirelessly; then he would begin listening to what the girl had to say—what had happened to her at the Farm since they last met.

“It’s true! Those guys were awful, they even pretended to be ghosts in the bathroom in the middle of the night to scare us! But then the Supervisor caught them, and the next day they were punished by not being allowed to eat, hehe!”

“Mina hates learning to dance the most! I failed the exam again this month… it’s so miserable!”

“Oh, right! The sweet potatoes in the yard have sprouted again! But only I sneak over to roast them and eat them. If Brother were still at the Farm it’d be great, then we could roast and eat them together…”

“Mina!” A sudden interruption.

Bazby’s voice sank a little… the way it did when he faced those Upper Echelon Nobility.

Mina’s hand gave a slight tremble, then she lowered her head… and stopped eating the things on the table.

Bazby let out a slow breath. “We agreed… the past can’t be mentioned.”

“I’m sorry, I just slipped…” The girl looked so upset she was on the verge of tears.

For a moment, silence fell over the room… neither of them spoke again.

At some point, faint moans, tinged with a mixture of pain and pleasure, drifted in from elsewhere… only then did the girl raise her head.

“Time goes by so fast…” A slightly forced smile was on her face. “It’s about time… Brother.”

“I… I’m not hungry.” Bazby slowly turned his face away.

Mina, however, reached up to undo the buttons at the collar of her robe and tugged it down… baring the skin of her neck and shoulder. She looked at Bazby and said gently, “That won’t do, Brother… the Supervisor will check and monitor us. Children who don’t carry out their ‘offering’ will be considered disliked… and then next time, Mina won’t be able to see Brother anymore.”

Bazby parted his lips slightly… the fangs for blood‑feeding had already instinctively emerged the instant the girl’s snow‑white neck appeared—but he seemed to be forcing himself to keep them from extending further.

The girl, however, once again threw herself into Bazby’s arms. “You don’t have to hold back… it’s for the sake of seeing each other next time.”

“I’m sorry…”

He lowered his head, and his fangs pierced straight into the girl’s neck… the stab of pain made her head tilt back at once, and then, just like the youths in the other rooms, plex moans welled up from her throat.

At this moment her hands gently cradled Bazby’s head as she murmured, “This is fine… this is just fine.”

Bazby’s fangs sank deeper and deeper, his hands even clutching the girl’s smooth back hard enough to wrinkle her robe into tight creases.

“This is just fine… ah~”

Once you crossed the lush green slope, you could see a cluster of buildings occupying roughly half a kilometer.

A school, a hospital… an amusement park; the basic urban amenities were all laid out in an orderly plan.

As they walked down from the hill, the Maid brushed back the wind‑tossed hair that had fallen across her ear. “Looks like we’re here, the Farm.”

“So this is the Farm…” Luo Qiu looked out over it, observing.

They hadn’t gone in deep, but you could already sense the life here… it clearly wasn’t particularly harsh—however, almost everyone living here was a boy or a girl, even small children… there were hardly any adults in sight.

“It’s not hard to guess the management model.” The Maid smiled lightly as she spoke.

“Mm… more or less.” Boss Luo nodded, then casually headed off in some direction—choosing the path the way you might plant a branch at a fork in the road.

Before they had fully entered this little “town,” they ran into a child with glasses under a big tree by the roadside.

The child looked to be only about ten years old.

The child was sitting alone beneath the tree, reading—while not far away, a group of kids of about the same age were playing about.

Luo Qiu walked up curiously behind the child and glanced at the book he was reading, then blinked.

Mm… Vibrations and Waves, Wave Optics??
