Chapter 1282: Chapter 9: Go to the Room with the Pool!
The exterior is just a luxurious manor… but in fact, it’s the gathering place of the Fog Capital Round Table Knights Organization.
The manor is owned by Sir Perkins’s family, and after centuries of continuous construction, it has bee a considerable-sized base.
Inside the interrogation room.
Red slowly came back to his senses from a state as if he had toured Hell, acpanied by the soul-burning pain.
He couldn’t help but groan a few times… and the first thing he saw was his own hands.
His hands were bloody and mangled, as if pulled from a bonfire, but at the same time, his hands were still shackled — his entire body was locked in a metal chair.
“What tenacious life force, you actually came back to your senses so quickly.”
In front of Red was a teary, pale face of The Clown… one of the Twelve Knights of the Round Table, Dalgarno!
Not only Dalgarno was present, but also Gareth, and in silent attendance, sitting with a cane in hand, Mr. Perkins.
This senior cadre of the ‘Doomsday Myth’ received extremely severe injuries, and it took the knights of the Fog Capital a lot of precious resources to pull him back from the brink of death — it wasn’t necessary to save his life, actually.
But they had to — because if they couldn’t learn the whereabouts, contacts, and next plans of the other ‘Doomsday Myth’ members from Red’s mouth, this country might face terrible disaster in three days.
At this moment, under Red’s bewildered gaze, Mr. Clown magically produced a remote control from his palm.
Under Red’s look of realization, Mr. Clown, with a smile, extended a finger and pressed it down slowly in front of his eyes.
Instantly, a strong electric current surged into the metal chair.
A piercing scream echoed as Red’s half-charred body convulsed wildly… Gareth frowned and couldn’t help but say, “Dalgarno, we’re running out of time. If you shock him unconscious, how much more time will we waste?”
“Don’t worry, I calculated it.” Mr. Clown released the button, shrugged, and said, “I’m just giving a demonstration, one that can save us time. I believe smart people will know to answer honestly next… am I right, Mr. Red?”
As Mr. Clown said, this electric shock didn’t cause Red to faint but subjected him to inhuman torture.
Yet, faced with the clown’s question, he weakly raised his head, revealing a mocking smile, “If I don’t talk… will that mean nobody can sleep?”
The clown’s mouth lifted slightly, “Of course, I hope you remain silent.”
He pressed the button again, and the electrically connected metal chair emitted visible sparks… Red’s body convulsed even more violently, his eyes rolling back.
“Red! How many of you are there in the ‘Doomsday Myth’! Where are you hiding! What is your next target?” Gareth quickly asked, “I hope you can end your current suffering, please cooperate with us.”
Meanwhile, he directly snatched the remote control from the clown’s hand… Mr. Clown puckered his lips in grievance and squatted on the ground, looking up.
Gareth ignored him, just reached out and grabbed Red’s hair, lifting his head, “If you’re willing to cooperate, we can provide you with an extradition order, making you a legal non-human of this country. We can also negotiate with the Magician’s Association to withdraw their warrant for you… sunshine, you want that too, right?”
Red still sneered, his voice intermittent, “You… agreed to the terms… sunshine… belongs to us too…”
Gareth frowned, “Do you know what you’re doing? Ceding Northern Ireland for your independence… are you planning to announce your existence to the world? Do you want to start a war?”
“The shadow serpent will soon reappear… and this is… the beginning… from death begins… ah——!!!!!!”
“Dalgarno!!! Enough is enough!!”
Seeing Red fall into a a after this electric shock, Gareth’s previously gentle face instantly turned incredibly stern.
Mr. Clown at this moment squatted at Gareth’s feet, stealthily stretching out a finger, about to press the electric shock button again… his mischievous look without a friend.
Gareth shook his head, and with this third electric shock, Red would probably not wake up anytime soon… he sighed, went to Mr. Perkins’s side, and frowned, “Sir, Red has received lots of resistance training, our truth serum apparently doesn’t work on him, if he insists on not speaking, I’m afraid…”
Mr. Perkins rubbed the carving on his cane, remaining silent… at that moment, the door of the interrogation room suddenly opened.
A woman wearing a purple dress, with black eyeliner, and a great figure slowly walked in… Mr. Clown whistled, stood up, and with a flick of his fingers, three flying knives instantly appeared between his fingers.
Gareth frowned deeply, “Mind Witch… Gillian Anderson? What are you doing here?”
“I invited her.” Mr. Perkins sighed, “Gareth, I think we need to use her abilities to obtain information on the ‘Doomsday Myth’ from Red’s mouth, in the shortest possible time.”
As he said this, the woman in the purple dress walked gracefully, by Perkins’ side, sat on the armrest of his chair, and lifted his chin with her hand, “Dear Perkins, I hope you keep your promise.”
“Don’t try to control my mind, Gillian.” In the face of such enchanting beauty, Perkins was utterly unmoved, his gaze clear as lake water, “I will keep my promise, but in return, you can help me… this is just a forced transaction.”
“Of course, you’re the great descendant of King Arthur.” Gillian smiled slightly, then glanced at Gareth and the clown before approaching Red.
Gareth still frowned, looking to Mr. Perkins for an explanation.
“I promised her visitation rights to that person.” Mr. Perkins shook his head.
“That person…” Gareth instantly thought of something, his face changed, “Sir!”
Mr. Perkins waved his hand, “Considering the time we need to deploy after knowing the information about the Doomsday Myth, if you’re confident in obtaining intel within half an hour after this from Red, I’ll terminate this transaction without hesitation.”
Gareth could only remain silent… half an hour? With Red’s stubbornness, it might take half a month to get one useful word out of him.
“Hmm… I’m curious how exactly did you catch this Silver-level magician Red.” Gillian started circling the metal chair, her fingers brushing over Red’s shoulder, “He’s been wanted by the Magician’s Association for ten years… was it this Mr. Clown’s credit? Apparently, your superhuman intuition counteracts Red’s translocation magic quite well.”
“It wasn’t me.” Mr. Clown shrugged, not planning to explain in detail.
“I see.” Gillian didn’t seem to care and after circling once, she reached Red’s face and lifted it with both hands.
Her eyes suddenly turned black… pletely being a pair of entirely black eyes, extremely eerie!
About ten minutes later, Gillian stretched and smiled, “Well, Red’s will has protection that prevents psychic magic from prying. But I bypassed it, you now have about twenty minutes, so ask whatever you want quickly.”
With that, Gillian threw a flirtatious glance at Mr. Clown, reiterating, “Only twenty minutes, it would be a waste on me.”
Mr. Clown had to put away the flying knife that he twirled.
Before leaving, Miss Gillian suddenly looked at Mr. Pukins and chuckled, “Prison… When I go, I’ll let you know.”
…
…
In the room, after enduring the pain and catching his breath, Will struggled to stand up, and looked with horror at the man in the black trench coat blocking his way.
He seemed to hear some sounds… From outside, it was the voice of that child calling out.
Black… criminal group, or something else?
Seizing the moment he got up, Will quietly opened the call on the phone in his belt… He didn’t know who it would reach, just hoping someone would answer and be able to hear the conversation here.
“Are you here to catch that child?” Will frowned, “Are the injuries on him also your doing? You’re actually abusing a minor?”
“If you don’t want trouble, then mind your own business,” the trench coat man stood with his arms crossed at the door, “Don’t worry, we will disappear from your sight and will not trouble you again.”
Will angrily responded, “But you took an injured child from me! I now seriously suspect you are involved in illegal activities, even illegal detention and abuse of minors!”
The trench coat man shook his head, seeming a bit impatient but still said casually, “You wouldn’t want to know where this child, as you call him, actually es from… What are you doing with your hand?”
With that, he took a step forward, grabbing Will’s arm and forcibly pulling it out, “A phone? Playing tricks?”
“Let me go! You criminals!! Let go…”
The trench coat man threw Will’s phone on the ground, then yanked him and threw him toward the wall, “It seems letting you take a nap would be a better choice.”
He laughed coldly and walked toward Will.
Will watched in terror… At this moment, there was a loud motion outside the door, sounds of breaking and smashing. The trench coat man immediately frowned, waved his hand again, and knocked Will to the ground… causing him such pain he couldn’t even get up.
“I’ll deal with you later.”
With that, the trench coat man directly opened the door and walked out.
…
Outside, a man in a trench coat was already lying on the ground at some point, and the reception area of the munity center had long since turned into a mess.
But the Beastman siblings had already been cornered to the wall.
They had too many ways to deal with Beastmen, let alone just two of the Beastman’s minors—Simpton didn’t make a move, just watched coldly.
“Sir? What happened?”
The man watching Will hurried over, but Simpton just nodded… The man took a glance, frowned, “Sir, since both targets have been found…”
Only to be met with Simpton’s icy gaze.
He had to swallow his words, then looked at the two little Beastmen in the corner.
“Sister…” The boy hid fearfully behind the girl.
The girl held him tightly, staring intently at the encroaching enemies, whispering, “Oga, later I’ll distract them, and you take the chance to run, just keep running, okay! After you leave here, head to the tallest building! You must go to the seventeenth floor, the room with the pool! There might be someone who can protect you! But that guy is hard to explain! Be careful yourself!”
“Sister, I’m not leaving!”
“Listen!” The girl looked into the boy’s eyes, “I promise, I’ll be okay! And then find you!”
With that, the girl grabbed the boy’s arm hard and swung him out, while her own body lunged forward, crashing directly into one of the black trench coat men surrounding them.
Her development hadn’t reached the level of a Beastman, agile but lacking strength, this crash didn’t knock down a well-trained qualified Knight.
What terrified her was that her actions had no effect… When she came back to her senses, she saw that Oga hadn’t escaped smoothly.
Instead, Simpton easily caught him by the small leg, lifted him entirely upside down, then heavily slammed him onto the ground.
At this point, Simpton smiled slightly, opened his trench coat… a narrow sword swiftly drawn, about to pierce through Oga’s body.
“No——!!!”
The girl screamed in despair; at this moment, white fluff started to grow all over her body, and her amber eyes turned dark red!
Fsst ssst ssst——!!!!
In a flash, a stream of white gas suddenly sprayed out—and this stream of white gas filled the whole reception area room almost instantly—meanwhile, a piercing buzzing sound echoed in the reception area.
Simpton covered his nose, waving his arms to clear away the white gas around him.
When the gas dissipated partially, there was a fire extinguisher rolling on the ground… But the two little Beastmen had disappeared!
“Where are they!”
Outside the munity center, Will was now holding the delicate boy, hurriedly jumping into a yellow car, and then rushed away!
The dignified Great Knight of the Knight Agency actually let two little Beastmen escape right under his nose, Simpton’s face instantly turned grim, “You… how did you let this happen?”
“I’m sorry, sir, I had already knocked him to the ground, but didn’t expect…” The man lowered his head, quickly apologizing.
“Hmph! Not fast enough, chase them!” Simpton snapped angrily.
The man hurriedly nodded… watching the little yellow car run off, a hint of relief flashed across his face.
