Why?

In typical interstellar combat, even during the boarding and infiltration battles beloved by interstellar pirates, they don’t sneak in stealthily, much less target the Curvature Engine.

Because boarding battles aim to preserve the spoils to the greatest extent and capture enemy forces.

They would similarly create a moderate-sized entry point in an instant, then rush in and launch an internal attack. As long as they win the internal battle, it’s irrelevant whether the target escapes the Curvature Bubble because their main ship will continue the chase, aided by the internal combat, ensuring you can’t escape.

Unless...

In this mont, Woye recalled a classic tactic taught during instruction.

By interfering with the Curvature Bubble paraters and infiltrating the Curvature Engine controls, one can simultaneously block signal transmission, capture, and take over the entire enemy communications system!

The intruders know they are reconnaissance units; their target is the entire Worren Main Fleet!

Despite possessing considerable Primordial Energy mastery, Woye felt imnse fear at this mont.

An unknown enemy has targeted their Worren Fleet!

"Imdiately exit the Curvature Bubble, activate the communication system to full power, and relay the ssage back to the main fleet! Notify all warships, there’s an unknown intruder! Suspected A21 classic communications system occupation tactic! Awaken all guards, expel internal intruders imdiately!" Woye responded promptly.

Although his pondering and analysis seed lengthy, in fact, it was done in a very short ti, which was a testant to his qualities as a warship captain.

Suddenly, communications from other warship captains began to stream in one after another.

"What insanity are you broadcasting? Communications occupation tactic? Who even uses that anymore!"

"I scanned the surroundings and didn’t detect any enemy ships!"

"He’s not wrong. There’s a breach in my warship from an asteroid collision, possibly allowing enemies to infiltrate the inside."

"Mine too!"

"Sa here; I’m still in partial hibernation!"

"Great Wo protect us... Dammit! My Curvature Engine was breached! They are indeed trying to occupy our communications system!"

"Exit the Curvature Bubble! Hurry! The enemy’s target is our main fleet! We must get the ssage back!"

"..."

As the captains’ urgency intensified, Woye’s mood sank.

Because he realized he was the first to discover it!

What a bunch of dimwits!

But at this mont, Woye couldn’t afford to berate his teammates; he already realized he might not escape this battle.

Even now, the warship’s reconnaissance system still couldn’t detect the nearby enemy ships! Furthermore, the intruding enemy forces inside the fleet seed equipped with highly advanced gear, and judging by Steinbeck’s earlier reaction, the enemy likely possessed substantial Primordial Energy Technology!

D-Level!

At least a fleet from a D-level civilization!

Why would a D-level civilization dare to attack them? Aren’t they afraid of the Daike Civilization? Could they be from a civilization outside the Mude System? But there’s no known D-level civilization near the Mude System.

"I must transmit the ssage back!" Woye knew if the Worren Fleet still existed, there would still be a slight chance of becoming a valuable prisoner or a slave. If the Worren Fleet were ultimately destroyed as well, his final fate would be to beco a Primordial Energy Battery.

Thinking of that outco filled him with imnse terror, despite his considerable Primordial Energy mastery.

"Once the warship exits the Curvature Bubble, all smaller warships must detach! Escape independently while transmitting the intelligence of being attacked by D-level battleships at full power..." Primordial Energy and his long-term command experience proved highly effective as Woye issued a series of battle commands!

Boom––!

Another deafening roar reverberated throughout the warship.

This was already the fourth ti!

Woye could clearly see at least seven enemy squads approaching the final defense of the Curvature Engine, and the liquid tal armor’s load was nearing its limits!

"What are the guards doing? Get over there quickly!"

He operated all automated defensive weaponry inside the warship to fully snipe the intruders!

anwhile.

Outside, Chen Feng was already making subsequent preparations.

Upon the exposed intelligence transmission, the warship’s Antimatter Cannon began charging imdiately, although he needed to calculate the positions of his allies carefully to avoid friendly fire as much as possible.

Then––

"Fire!"

With the command, high-density energy from the antimatter clash instantly pierced through the entire enemy ship in close proximity!

A blazing cavity erged.

The imbalance in air pressure sucked countless debris from the warship, including many Worrens just awakening from the Hibernation Pods. So didn’t even have ti to undergo space adaptation modification or put on spacesuits, struggling in the cosmic environnt within the Curvature Bubble. Under the internal and external pressure difference, their bodies rapidly swelled, and all fluids, whether blood, tissue fluid, or brain spinal fluid, began to boil and vaporize, causing them to perish painfully within seconds, ultimately forming an expanding ice sculpture.

But Chen Feng was utterly indifferent to this, and he certainly didn’t order any rescue.

He only issued the evacuation command imdiately after breaching the cavity.

Because it was too late to occupy and control the Curvature Engine here.

According to the plan, regardless of whether the soldiers had fully evacuated, he intended to destroy this enemy ship completely in the final monts before it exited the Curvature Bubble!

However, let’s not talk about causing his soldiers to sacrifice under his own fire; rely timing such an event is challenging.

If the timing was too fast, many soldiers wouldn’t escape in ti; too slow, perhaps the enemy had already left the Curvature Bubble.

Chen Feng’s mood was incomparably heavy.

He didn’t expect such dire circumstances in his first interstellar combat!

But more reluctant to accept were the mission personnel inside the warship.

"Abandon the mission, break through with full force, the enemy has arrived!" Yu Wenhua fiercely ordered while maintaining defense and carried out frenzied assaults against the wildly surging Worren guards.

Scorching plasma weapons left one burned and lted cavity after another on the already battered warship and the enemy.

"Only a little bit left, Captain!" Zhou Rui’s voice was filled with mad unwillingness, "With only two more Antimatter Bombs, we can blast it completely open!"

"Obey the command!" Yu Wenhua was just as unwilling.

Ultimately, their battlefield was the first to encounter problems, and the task wasn’t completed successfully. Even if it wasn’t their fault, the battlefield’s overall success or failure belonged to everyone, as each mber of the war squad shared in both glory and defeat!

Victory or failure belongs to all.

But the Commander’s order must be obeyed unconditionally.

"Yes!" Zhou Rui’s consciousness, beneath the armor, was filled with dejection but could only vent this in the clash, covering teammates’ retreat.

However––!

At this mont, a higher command authority took over the battlefield command and ordered:

"No need to retreat, continue the mission, the enemy can’t escape."

It’s Commander-in-Chief Shen!

Chen Feng was surprised to see a black figure, distinct from other armor designs, rushing through the cavity into the enemy ship!

Arrival was so swift!

Although he knew the Commander-in-Chief would surely co to his location, he didn’t expect them to arrive this swiftly!

But inwardly, he breathed a profound sigh of relief.

Since Commander-in-Chief Shen said they can’t escape, then they definitely can’t escape, sparing him the painful decision of firing on his own comrades.

And all soldiers prepared to execute orders rejoiced imnsely!

"The Commander-in-Chief has arrived!"

"Orders received!"

"Who has any Antimatter Bombs left? Detonate two together!"

"I still have one, C3 area cover!"

"Squad XH434 reaching C3 area! Providing support fire from thirty-seven degrees angle!"

"..."

A series of voices erged in the command channel as Star Hunter squads, which had initially rushed outward, returned to the internal battlefield.
