Realizing that Kars's behavior was not a first-ti offense, Kamishirasawa Keine gave up on any hope for his family’s educational thods. Since she encountered the situation, she knew what she had to do.
“Would you like to co to my school for lessons?” I'll just take this child and make him my student.
“Le-lessons?” Kars was stunned. Why was she suddenly trying to drag him to school? Was this the kind of yokai with a peculiar hobby that Koakuma had warned him about?
“Yes. At the school, you can learn a lot of knowledge and make new friends. For example, you already know Cirno and Daiyousei, and you’ll also et Rumia, Lily, and Mystia.” Keine introduced her current students, sighing slightly as she ntioned them. Not only were there very few students, but most of them weren't very bright.
“I have people teaching at ho.” Kars declined politely. He felt that Patchouli and the others were sufficient for his education.
“But clearly, the teachers in your ho are doing a terrible job, or why would they allow you to propose marriage to a woman you just t? How old are you? Starting such behavior at such a young age is undoubtedly leading you down the wrong path. As a teacher, I cannot stand by and watch you follow this path.”
“So, co be my student.” Keine placed both hands on Kars’s shoulders, staring directly into his eyes, extending the invitation.
“I will teach you to beco an excellent person, and you will learn principles and knowledge that you never knew before.”
“But I don’t feel like I have that much ti… and I still need to find a wife.”
“A wife? Why are you looking for a wife at your age? You should be focusing on studying right now, allowing your mind and body to mature from the inside out. That is what you should be doing. Rember, this age is a very important period for developnt…”
Kars stared blankly at Keine, who was lecturing him with a stream of principles. He felt this person was completely different from his first impression—she seed stubborn and full of lectures.
Maybe I really shouldn’t have said that to her. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be in this situation now.
Lost in her lecture, Kars suddenly snapped out of his daze and realized that he had sohow been led away by her while he was spaced out. His heart instantly raced.
I-is this what Patchouli and the others warned about? Being abducted by a strange older sister who will then do weird things to ?
The more he thought about it, the more plausible it seed. He instantly considered escaping, his eyes frantically searching for an exit. As he fidgeted, Keine placed a stack of books into his hands.
“Wh-what are these…”
“Textbooks. You’ll need them for class. They cover History, Math, Chemistry, Engineering, and Agriculture. I originally wanted to find people to help teach, but most of them refused.” Keine sighed with a hint of resignation. Teaching alone was hard work, and aside from History, the remaining subjects were not her specialty. Still, they were enough to teach these children.
Kars: Õ_Õ
I don’t think I ever agreed to this in the first place, did I? What should I do now?
“Class will start soon. You can get familiar with the material and et the others. Oh, I haven’t properly introduced myself. My na is Kamishirasawa Keine, and I established the Terakoya here in the Human Village. It accepts all races, but currently, my students are just yokai and fairies.”
Keine looked troubled as she ntioned this. The Terakoya hadn’t achieved the results she had hoped for, which was disheartening.
“Well, never mind that. Let’s head to the Terakoya now.” Keine took Kars’s hand and led him to the school. There, Kars saw Cirno and Daiyousei already seated. Their eyes t, and both Cirno and Daiyousei looked surprised to see Kars in this place.
“Alright, let introduce your new classmate, Kars Scarlett. Please get along well with him, everyone.” Keine walked to the podium and wrote Kars’s na on the chalkboard.
“He… he actually dared to co to class here?!” Cirno looked utterly stunned and impressed that Kars had the courage to attend this place. He truly is my rival! To do sothing I wouldn’t even dare to do!
In terms of sheer courage, Cirno is willing to call Kars the strongest!
“Alright, Kars, take the empty seat in the back.” Following Keine’s instruction, Kars carried his textbooks and sat in the seat behind Daiyousei. He glanced at the person next to him, a short green-haired figure whose antennae suggested she was an insect yokai, surrounded by many bugs.
He then looked at Rumia and Mystia, seated elsewhere.
“Kars, focus during class, don’t look around.” Keine’s reminder forced Kars to look down at his textbook. The current subject was History, but Kars was completely clueless about Japanese history. Listening to Keine's lecture felt like listening to a foreign language. His mind was in agony, and it was incredibly boring…
Attending this class is really giving a headache. It's torture! What are Cirno and the others thinking? Why are they willing to take this class? Is there so special reason?
“Are you already struggling this much?” Lily, seated next to him, looked at Kars's pained expression with a look that suggested he was too soft.
“This level is easy for us. You need to train much harder; this is only the beginning.”
Hearing Lily’s words, Kars’s expression grew even more distressed. Is the coming ti going to be even more unbearable? That’s terrifying!
“Little Auntie, I want to go ho… QAQ”
