"..." Lin Tian revealed a wry smile at the corner of his mouth. The more he explained, the darker the situation seed. It was better not to say anything at all, he thought as he looked at Mu Wanqing, waiting for her to continue.
"Lin, what do you think of ngyi as a girl?" Mu Wanqing asked, looking at Lin Tian.
"She's great, ngyi is beautiful and generous, also easy to get along with, and kind to everyone," Lin Tian replied without hesitation. "There are a lot of people at school who like her."
"That's only one side of it. What I'm talking about is ngyi's character," Mu Wanqing said, shaking her head as she listened to Lin Tian.
"Her character? Gentle, generous, easy to get along with—isn't that right?" Lin Tian was startled and seed sowhat at a loss about what Mu Wanqing was trying to say.
"You should know why ngyi went to Wu'an City to attend university, shouldn't you?" Mu Wanqing asked with a smile, noticing Lin Tian's perplexed expression.
"Yes, I heard it was because of Wang Zhenyu," Lin Tian nodded.
"And do you know how big of a dispute ngyi had with her family before she went to Wu'an City?" Mu Wanqing's face showed a flicker of pity.
"I'm not very sure about that," Lin Tian said, his face again revealing a wry smile. He wasn't a worm in Shen ngyi's heart, how could he know such things?
But soon, he learned about these things, as Mu Wanqing recounted the story of Shen ngyi before she left for Wu'an City.
It turned out that Shen ngyi's move to Wu'an City wasn't just because she disliked Wang Zhenyu; it was a more severe case of fleeing a marriage. She initially refused upon learning that Wang Zhenyu and her father, Shen Zhe, had proposed marriage to her.
However, Shen Zhe, valuing the benefits involved, ignored Shen ngyi's opposition and agreed without hesitation. And ngyi, being a girl with a strong will, chose to run away from ho when she knew her opposition had no effect.
Her family only found out she was in Wu'an City afterward.
"Indeed, a girl deserving of pity," Lin Tian mused, then looked into Mu Wanqing's eyes, puzzled. "Auntie, why are you telling this...?"
"Hehe... I can see that ngyi's feelings for you are different, so I hope you'll take good care of her in the future," Mu Wanqing said with a smile.
"Don't worry, Auntie, ngyi and I are friends. As long as it's sothing I can help with, I certainly won't shirk it," Lin Tian assured her, though he felt sothing strange inside. Why did it feel like she was entrusting soone to his care?
"Well, that's a relief," Mu Wanqing said, seeing Lin Tian's assurance. A relieved smile appeared on her face as she stood up and left. Lin Tian was left feeling baffled but didn't think too much about it. Shaking his head, he returned to his room to get so good rest.
The fight with the tiger had drained a lot of his energy today.
Lying in bed, Lin Tian fell asleep quickly. When he woke up the next day, he heard Shen ngyi knocking on the door. Lin Tian opened his sowhat groggy eyes.
"Wait... I'll be right there." Lin Tian yawned and said, then got up to open the door, looking at Shen ngyi who stood at the doorstep and asked, "Big sister, what's up?"
"Big sister, do I look that old?" Shen ngyi rolled her eyes at Lin Tian calling her 'big sister', and then proceeded to ask, "Weren't you out with Xiaohui yesterday? Why hasn't he returned yet? What did you guys do?"
"That kid sure knows how to stir up trouble," Lin Tian said, a wicked curve appearing on his lips as he heard that Shen Xiaohui hadn't returned yet.
"What are you smirking about? Did you guys do sothing shady, and now Xiaohui is too scared to co ho?" Shen ngyi asked, her skin crawling at the smile Lin Tian suddenly flashed.
"..." Lin Tian's forehead creased with lines of frustration as he looked at Shen ngyi and said helplessly, "Can't you think of sothing positive? What do you an by us doing sothing shady? Are we those kinds of people? Even if Xiaohui is unreliable, don't you trust ?"
"Just because you're involved, I don't trust it." Hearing Lin Tian claim he was reliable, Shen ngyi gave him a contemptuous look.

Heyi Grand Hotel.
This was the hotel where Shen Xiaohui and i Xue had checked in the day before, but now Shen Xiaohui's day was not going as well as Lin Tian had imagined.
He was kneeling in a corner of the room with his feet on the keyboard, facing the wall in penitence, his face bruised and swollen, clearly having been beaten severely.
"Shhh shhh…" The sound of water splashing ca from the bathroom, and through the glass, Shen Xiaohui could make out the contours of a blurred, naked body.
"Gulp…" He couldn't help but swallow, but that movent pulled at the wounds on his face, causing him to grimace in pain.
His eyes suddenly filled with resentnt as he said, "Brother-in-law, is this what you ant by only idiots pass up a good deal? Sure, I took the deal, but you didn't tell I'd get beaten up."

As it turned out, when Shen Xiaohui brought i Xue into the room the day before, the drugs in her system finally peaked, and she could no longer resist, instantly pushing Shen Xiaohui down.
This infuriated Shen Xiaohui because, as he had told Lin Tian, he really did end up beneath i Xue.

The bathroom door suddenly opened, and i Xue erged wrapped in a bath towel. Her bare shoulders were exposed, and droplets of water trickled through her hair. Perhaps the water had been too hot, as her cheeks were flushed, making her look incredibly enticing.
"Gulp…"
Shen Xiaohui's eyes widened at the sight, his throat moving up and down as he swallowed.
"What are you looking at? Do you know where you went wrong?" i Xue stared at Shen Xiaohui gulping and glared fiercely at him before she barked loudly.
"I, I know." Shen Xiaohui quickly averted his gaze upon hearing her and spoke in a small voice.
"Then spit it out, where did you go wrong?" i Xue sat on the edge of the bed, exuding the air of a queen.
