But who could have imagined, coming to attend Qiao Yu’s presentation would feel like a slap in the face!

He didn’t even have the courage to bla Qiao Yu. Because they initially just wanted to do so theoretical work, and Qiao Yu clearly did much more! More than they could have ever optimistically predicted.

Truly, when Nelson walked into the banquet hall, he was in a daze, completely like he was sleepwalking.

If Peter Schultz was devastated by Qiao Yu’s relentless pace in mathematical research, his was an indirect hurt.

Then Nelson’s was a direct wound, similar to what Professor Frank experienced.

The career he had been working on for years suddenly beca aningless. Whether it was his mathematical thoughts or techniques, they were outdated before they even made it to the stage, and what’s more frustrating, is that even now his topic is still considered cutting-edge...

When Nelson was feeling despondent, soone approached to greet him.

"Hello, Professor Nelson."

"Oh, Professor Xue? Hello."

Seeing Xue Song, Nelson’s mind finally cleared a bit. No matter how bad his mood was, the dignity of a Nobel laureate couldn’t be lost!

Especially at this mont.

"I’m very sorry, I just wanted to explain, I don’t know what Qiao Yu has been researching during this period. In fact, although I am very familiar with Qiao Yu, I have been working on other topics...I hope you understand!"

Xue Song apologized with slight unease.

Though he knew Qiao Yu had applied for a new project and it was approved, he really didn’t know much about its specifics.

The key point is that Qiao Yu didn’t tell him either!

But explaining all this to Nelson now seed a bit forced. After all, Qiao Yu specifically thanked him at the International Mathematicians Conference.

Even in the paper that earned Qiao Yu the Fields dal, the only acknowledgnt section was dedicated to him.

So Xue Song was unsure whether Nelson would believe him even though he was telling the truth.

"No, no, no, Professor Xue, you really don’t need to explain. When I invited Dr. Qiao to that salon, I didn’t know Dr. Qiao was already researching this area.

In fact, I should appreciate Dr. Qiao. Even though he was already doing related research, he still let you help us. Well, obviously that’s a very strong confidence!"

Nelson said with a wry smile.

Upon hearing this response, Xue Song was first stunned and then quickly realized that Professor Nelson misunderstood. He thought Qiao Yu had begun research on the Qiao Yu Modal Space before attending the International Mathematicians Conference.

But Xue Song could completely understand such a misunderstanding.

Previously, he too would never have believed that soone could conjure up a nearly complete new inner product space from scratch in just a month and a half. Even replacing the status of Hilbert Space in the mathematical community.

He would rather believe that Qiao Yu had begun the research a long ti ago rather than only started thinking about it after returning from the International Mathematicians Conference.

But Xue Song didn’t plan to clarify this misunderstanding; after all, this kind of misunderstanding was less hurtful, so Xue Song rely smiled at Nelson with sincere apology and said, "Although the project is indeed a bit regretful, I hope we can still have the opportunity to collaborate in the future."

"Certainly, we will! I believe that the future of global research cannot disregard the Generalized Modal Axiomatic System, whether in mathematics or physics."

After giving it high praise, Nelson and Xue Song parted amicably.

Watching Xue Song walk away, Nelson carefully thought for a mont, then took out his phone.

Even considering the ti difference, at this mont it was already late night in his ho country. But after regaining his composure, Nelson felt it was still necessary to promptly inform his investors of the news and his own assessnt of the new theory and new algorithms.

This was all he could do for his investors now. Although the project didn’t work out, he needed to at least earn a good reputation!

Thinking of this, Nelson even felt sowhat fortunate to have attended this presentation. If he hadn’t, he would have had to hear the news from others, maybe even from his investors calling him, which would have been truly passive!

...

United States, Silicon Valley.

If observant people paid a bit more attention, they would notice sothing unusual in communities like Fullerton or Los Altos Hills that are favored by investors and Silicon Valley elites, in this deep night.

It was already the early hours, but many houses suddenly lit up.

This is one of the downsides of information being spread too quickly.

From one end of the Earth to the other, it only takes a few seconds, which ans the ti difference can no longer insulate people’s access to information, causing breaking news on the other side of the globe to also disrupt their sleep.

But for these tycoons who can afford to live here, it is extrely necessary.

After all, the reason they’ve accumulated so much wealth is that they can obtain a lot of accurate and effective information sooner than others, sotis even information that ordinary people cannot access.

Yes, most of the ti, the wealth gap in human society is often due to the omnipresent information gap.

So always think that in the era of mobile internet, everyone gets about the sa information. But the truth is quite different.

Because most people can’t even find information that is truly useful to them among countless disorganized information, or passively accept a multitude of false information, thereby distorting their correct understanding of reality.
