Chapter 683: Chapter 213: The Upcoming Symposium

It was almost noon by the ti I finished reading the paper downloaded from the submission system.

Actually, since the Riemann Conjecture was solved, there has been a lot of research in the mathematical community related to generalized modal theory.

At least according to Lott Degen’s knowledge, several world-renowned professors and their teams are striving to solve more pri number theory problems through this theoretical system.

Related papers have also been erging like mushrooms after the rain recently.

Many mathematicians are also trying to develop Qiao Yu’s mathematical system in other directions, such as homological algebra.

But obviously, in these areas of research, Huaxia people once again took the lead.

It must be said that whether it’s the design of modal spectral manifolds or the concept of sparsity mapping, all are micro-innovations based on the generalized modal axiomatic system.

Although the acknowledgnt in the paper detailed Qiao Yu’s help with this paper, according to its content, Lott Degen sensitively discovered that the major frawork was indeed a joint research effort by a young man nad Yu Wei and his ntor Chen Zhelun.

After reading the paper, Lott Degen specifically searched the Princeton University archive index for papers by Yu Wei and Chen Zhelun.

Unexpectedly, no information on Yu Wei was found; this guy is still a pure newcor.

However, he found more than ten papers by Chen Zhelun, mostly published in journals like “Compositio Mathematica” and “Journal of Algebra,” which, while not top-tier, are highly ranked in the first zone.

Before this paper, Professor Chen’s most comndable achievent was so work on the Alperin weight conjecture.

Primarily, he proposed so inductive conditions to facilitate verification of the conjecture for specific groups. This can be understood as breaking down a problem into more manageable subproblems.

Lott Degen also casually searched the internet for Chen Zhelun’s profile.

A graduate of Huaqing University, he spent two years at the Berkeley Branch through Huaqing University’s doctoral exchange research program.

After graduation, he joined Yanbei University’s School of Mathematics, and three years ago, at the age of thirty-five, he earned the title of associate professor at Yanbei University.

That was all the information available on Google, but to Lott Degen, this resu seed quite diocre, nothing out of the ordinary.

This made him start suspecting that Qiao Yu was involved in compiling a textbook for the generalized modal axiomatic system exclusive to Yanbei University.

It’s well-known that having a reliable textbook or lecture notes can significantly enhance learning and research efficiency.

After pondering for a while, Lott Degen printed out the paper and then left the office heading straight for the Institute for Advanced Study.

On his way there, he bought a sandwich to settle his lunch.

Soon, he arrived at the third office on the right-hand side of the second floor of the Institute for Advanced Study, knocked on the door, and entered as soon as the person inside bade him enter.

“Hi, Professor Delini, did you know? My greatest hope for the future is to still have your energy when I turn eighty.”

Although he wasn’t in a good mood today, he was already all smiles when he walked into Pierre Delini’s office.

He had no choice; this was a professor he had to respect.

Not talking about Delini’s contributions to the mathematical community, just considering that he had received guidance from this big shot when he was young, he had to display this attitude.

“Oh, Lott, get to the point, will you? You know I’m just an old man, not as energetic as I look. So don’t bother with those trivial matters from the School of Mathematics.”

Pierre Delini slightly lowered his head and looked up, allowing him to see Lott Degen across from him over his glasses.

“Good news, a paper from Huaxia has limited the pri number upper bound interval to 2.” Lott Degen shrugged, then raised the printed paper he had just taken out from his bag and handed it over.

“Did Qiao Yu solve this problem before his report?” Pierre Delini took the paper from Lott Degen’s hand and casually asked.

“No, he is actually the corresponding author. But you can look at the acknowledgnt section of the paper, which details the contributions of each of the three authors.”

Saying this, Lott Degen directly sat on the sofa opposite used for receiving guests, although Pierre Delini hadn’t invited him to sit.

“Speaking of Qiao Yu’s report, you must have received an invitation from Yanbei University too, right?” Lott Degen asked casually after sitting down.

“Of course.” Pierre Delini nodded.

“So are you planning to attend this report?” Lott Degen asked.

While glancing over the paper, Pierre Delini replied, “Of course, why not?”

“You’re already eighty years old! That’s 12,000 kiloters!”

“So, am I driving there? Actually, I’m still mobile and don’t need extra care. Besides, I’ve been to Huaxia many tis, it’s a very nice place. Just right for a vacation.”

“Are you sure it’s just for vacation?”

“Of course, do you have any different opinions?”

“Actually, you know, I haven’t been to Huaxia yet, although I’ve heard a lot about its developnt, I’ve heard the pollution is very serious as well. Well, I’m not so sure if that’s a good place for a vacation.”

Lott Degen shook his head and expressed his viewpoint.

“Don’t judge places you haven’t seen like an ignorant fool. Lott, that’s precisely why you should go and take a look.”
