Jack Thorn nodded and was about to say sothing when the person sitting on the other side of Jack Thorn also spoke up: “Jack, you should introduce as well.”

The 2026 International Mathematicians Conference finally officially comnced.
As per tradition, the opening remarks were given by the chairman of this conference’s organizing committee, Pierre L. Lion, and the chairman of the International Mathematical Union, Nakajima Kei.
There’s nothing much to say about this part. For mathematicians, the flurry of gratitude can basically be skipped over.
Fortunately, both of them understood everyone’s mood, and their speeches were not long.
Soon, the most important ceremony of the opening, the awards segnt, began.
First to be awarded was the Gauss Prize.
“The first thing I want to announce is the recipient of this year’s Gauss Prize…” As he spoke here, Pierre L. Lion paused and then continued: “Professor Ingrid Daubechies from Duke University.”
In appreciation of her pioneering work in wavelet analysis, which has played a key role in applications such as image research and signal processing, she is awarded the Gauss Prize!”
As the words fell, the conference hall, capable of seating thousands, imdiately erupted in thunderous applause…
At that mont, Qiao Yu suddenly felt excited all over, prompting him to glance back.
This really is a grand scene!
Looking at all the people behind him, and the applause that almost seed to lift the ceiling, such an atmosphere indeed ignites one’s passion.
