Chapter 268: Chapter 115: When Brother Qiao Gets Serious—It’s Terrifying!_4

In a group of villains, you have to be more cunning than others to stand out; but in a group of good people, as long as you’re shaless enough, you can take full advantage. Qiao Yu could even write a paper based on this proposition.

Yes, now Qiao Yu was entirely imrsed in mathematics, intensely focused.

So the next day, when the friends’ group t Qiao Yu again, they encountered this terrifying guy.

Qiao Yu got up early, washed up, and went to the cafeteria to have breakfast. He then took his prepared paper, completed the registration, and handled the check-in process.

He had maintained a habit of sleeping only five hours a night for the past few days, which didn’t affect his efficiency. On the contrary, he was very energetic, full of vitality.

It’s always like this, once Qiao Yu has a clear goal, both his concentration and personal energy seem to be even more vigorous.

This can probably be described as a highly motivated attitude.

Originally, he planned to slack off during the two training sessions in March and take a good rest, but now the situation was different, and Qiao Yu no longer had the thought of resting. He had to focus on reviewing the paper; the Geotric Langlands Conjecture was indeed profound and deserved more of his ti.

After all, to find the critical logical errors in the paper, he first had to understand it. Critiquing errors is essentially a learning process.

Moreover, the task was very challenging, and it was said that Schulz had already reviewed the paper and praised it as: “The most excellent and successful result in nearly thirty years, a pinnacle of thirty years of effort.”

Even Alexander Bailey, one of the founders of the Geotric Langlands Program, expressed that “this proof is extrely beautiful, the best among similar proofs.”

For others, the remarks of these two big figures were an endorsent of the paper, but Qiao Yu clearly had a different view.

He always felt that if they truly acknowledged the conclusion, the big figures could completely say sothing like “unimaginable, they achieved success, the proof process is impeccable,” instead of comparing it to other proofs of the sa period.

Of course, this might be a unique form of rigor among the big figures, not wanting to make a definitive statent before obtaining global recognition from mathematicians.

But in Qiao Yu’s view, not having the confidence to make such a statent itself ans that the paper might have issues, it’s just a matter of whether anyone can find them.

If he didn’t hurry, and mathematicians all recognized this conclusion, what if next year’s International Congress of Mathematicians really erratically decided to award the prize to soone? After all, there was no precedent for awarding a prize and then retracting it in history.

Qiao Yu felt he must seize the ti, not to ntion that this Geotric Langlands Conjecture was indeed quite interesting.

So after arriving at his assigned room, Qiao Yu sat down in his spot, opened the paper, and began reading.

A little after nine in the morning, Yu Wei pushed the door open and saw Qiao Yu sitting in the room, stunned for a mont, just as Qiao Yu turned to glance at him.

Yu Wei thought Qiao Yu would sarcastically mock him as usual, but Qiao Yu didn’t say anything, just gave him a look, and then turned back to stare at the A4 papers on the table.

Since Qiao Yu didn’t speak, Yu Wei, even more unwilling to greet him, pulled his luggage into the room, stored everything, and then silently took out a prepared problem set from his suitcase, intending to sit at the desk behind Qiao Yu’s and start working through problems.

To be honest, being assigned to a room with Qiao Yu made him sowhat annoyed.

But there was nothing he could do; this training camp was semi-closed managent, and all participants were in four-person rooms. In comparison, being placed in a room with soone familiar seed fine.

Even if he was annoyed, when passing by Qiao Yu’s spot, he couldn’t help but glance at what Qiao Yu was reading.

“Damn!” Yu Wei cursed internally; it was another paper he couldn’t understand. This guy was getting better at pretending!

So when dragging the chair, he deliberately made so noise; unfortunately, the guy behind him still didn’t pay him any mind.

Yu Wei sat down, still a bit frustrated, so he slamd the problem set in his hand heavily on the table, but still no response, only the “swish swish” sound of pen on paper.

Yu Wei pouted; alright, he admits that this ti Qiao Yu really stuck to his act. He never expected that when this guy stopped being sharp-tongued, it actually made him feel worse…

He opened the exercise book, intending to start solving problems and push that annoying guy out of his mind.

But he could never concentrate—because that damn fellow behind him couldn’t even be bothered to say hello…

Feeling more agitated the more he thought about it, Yu Wei was just about to get up and go for a walk when the dorm room door was pushed open again.

“Damn, it’s really you two, Brother Qiao Yu, I missed you to death!”

Honestly, if it were the past, Yu Wei would find this voice quite annoying, but today he suddenly thought this chubby’s voice was sowhat pleasant.

No way around it, although he always liked silence, Yu Wei felt he would go crazy if he had to stay quietly in the sa room with Qiao Yu like this.

So he conveniently stood up, watching how Qiao Yu dealt with this persistent fellow, yet who would know Qiao Yu just turned his head to glance at Yu Yongjun, stopping the chubby in his tracks.

“Yeah, I arranged your accommodations; I don’t like sharing a room with strangers, so I spoke to Professor Zhou. I don’t have ti to ss with you, and don’t waste your ti either, go solve problems quick.”

Then Qiao Yu tossed this statent to Yu Yongjun and turned back again, focusing his attention on the paper before him.
