The award show venue was filled with actors, actresses, directors, producers and other important people from the entertainnt industry.
There were people like Xie Yujing and Chen i in the venue, while there were people like Yang Kun and Director Lu too.
There were reporters constantly going around with a caraman to ask so questions from the nominated celebrities.
"Ren, we are here."
"Ah, Brother Chu."
As soon as Ren entered the venue, he was greeted by Chu Min who was standing with Jiang Wan on his side.
"I thought you would miss the opening."
"There was a little traffic. So, we were late."
Chu Min was attending the Golden dragon movie awards but he had not been nominated in any of the categories.
The main reason behind it was because he was mostly doing dramas.
The only movie he did this year was a Korean movie, in which he was the second male lead.
The only reason he was even attending the award show was because Ren was nominated for the best actor award.
'I can't miss the mont when you will win the award!!'
That's what he had said when Ren had asked him about why he was attending the award show.
Even Ren was not sure if he would win the award or not, but Chu Min was sure of that.
Chu Min even had a drama shooting going on but he had stopped it to co here.
It was a heartfelt gesture that proved that he really treated Ren as his brother. Ren was feeling really grateful to him because of that.
"By the way, where is Xiao Rin?"
Ren was sure that Xiao Rin would be at the venue before him but he was not able to see her.
"She was here a mont ago but she is one of the award presenters today. So, she's backstage."
Jiang Wan explained as he licked his lips.
Ren was seeing him after soti as Jiang Wan was overseas due to so company work.
"Let's take our seats. It's starting."
White bear said and all of them took their seats. The lights soon went off for a second and both the emcees appeared on the stage.
The Golden dragon movie awards officially started like that!!

Like most of the award shows, they started by giving out awards for the less popular categories like best docuntary and best short film.
Xiao Rin presented the award for the best short film and the person who was taking the award was blushing seeing Xiao Rin up so close.
It was because Xiao Rin's appearance was nothing short of magical today.
She was wearing a light green gown which was not overly revealing but it was still oozing a little sexiness. It was perfect for an actress who was still 17.
Moreover, Xiao Rin has lots of makeup on her face which was rare, as she was known to use less makeup but it was only amplifying her beauty, not degrading it.
"You have a lot of makeup on your face?"
Ren asked Xiao Rin after she ca back from the backstage.
"Is it looking bad on ?"
"No, I don't an that but you don't use much makeup normally. That's why, I asked."
Xiao Rin sighed in relief when she heard that. For one second, she thought that Ren didn't like her makeup.
"Sister Ning said that it would look good on and how it is necessary to apply more makeup as it was a important event."
The so-called Sister Ning was the personal stylist of Xiao Rin.
After her popularity grew, there was a need to assign a personal stylist to her and the agency allocated Sister Ning to Xiao Rin.
Ren was also offered one but he rejected it as he didn't see the need for one.
The award ceremony kept going on and several people got awards. In so of the categories like best cinematography, «A born star» was also a nominee but it didn't win the award.
It's first award ca when it won the best film song award for 'With you'.
Lin Ru was not attending the award ceremony because she was overseas but Producer Hui was here.
As soone who worked alongside Lin Ru to make the song, he received the award on her behalf. Ren and Xiao Rin also went up to the stage.
The next award which «A born star» won was for the best debut director. It was won by Director Ying Yue who had tears in her eyes as she was receiving the award.
She had suffered many hardships when making «A born star». There was a ti when she was going to give up on her dream to beco a director.
But she kept going and t Ren. Eventually, «A born star» beca a movie from just a screenplay and it even beca a big hit.
She poured out all of her emotions in her winning speech and thanked Ren profoundly.
It was to the point that Ren was embarrassed, especially because most of the people in the venue were looking at him.
'It's ti for the best actress award now.'
As the award ceremony kept going on, the main awards finally ca. It included the best supporting actor and actress award.
Unfortunately, Li Xinru was not able to win the best supporting actress award. It was given to one the older actresses.
While the best supporting actor award was won by an actor who was struggling to make a mark because of bad script choices.
This award was like a ray of hope for him.
"Xiao Rin, are you fine?"
Ren asked her as the best actress award was going to be unveiled soon.
"I'm fine. Just a little nervous."
Xiao Rin said like she was fine but Ren can see her fingers which were shaking. She was also continuously tapping her legs on the ground.
She was clearly more than just nervous.
'She's just a kid in the end.'
Maybe if there was the queen of acting sitting beside him, then she won't be nervous but the current her was just a high school student.
She was not even 18 yet but she was nominated for the best actress award.
Although the chances of winning were low, there was still a chance and anyone would have so sort of expectations in their heart.
That expectation will surely make her more nervous.
"Now, it was the ti for the best actress award. This year, there are many strong contenders for this award and we have got so really good performances."
One of the emcee started the opening and the other continued it.
"Yes, these are so performances which both the audience and the critic liked. Now, to present the award, we would like to.…"
The person presenting the award soon ca on the stage. He looked at the audience as he slowly opened the cue card in his hand.
For a second, his face was surprised but he soon cald down.
"The actress who had won the best actress award is…."
He stopped to make so suspense and at that mont, Xiao Rin's hands started shaking rapidly.
'She needs to calm down.'
Ren thought as he saw her like that. As there was no ti to think, he slowly landed his hand on top of hers as he softly said.
"Xiao Rin, calm down."
Xiao Rin looked at Ren in surprise and a small blush appeared on her face.
Her breathing suddenly cald down as she felt the warmth of Ren's hand on top of her.
At that mont, the award presenter finally said the na of the winner.
"Xiao Rin for «A born star»!!"
