"About the investnts?"
"Yes, we received so calls since the rumour has already been confird, at least inside the entertainnt industry."
The CEO of Arc production, CEO Wang said as he looked at Ren.
It's been already been two days since he explained his plan in the CEO's office.
After the CEO agreed to it, they have been trying to contact the investors in full force.
Director Kang and the PR Team of Arc production was currently holding the dia as to not leak anything outside.
They wanted to at least talk with all the people involved in it first.
"By the way, what is our initial budget?"
CEO Wang asked as he glanced at Ying Yue sitting to his left.
Hearing the question, Ying Yue lowered her head like she was afraid of sothing, as she whispered in a low voice.
"About 20 million, no 10 million."
"10 million RMB?"
"No, no, 10 million USD, I think that, that would be enough."
She looked like she was asking for a debt looking like that.
Seeing this, CEO Wang sighed as he corrected her.
"Director Ying, I don't think 10 million USD would do anything. Are you planning on cutting on the cost of sothing?"
"No, if we just do less shoots and if we spend less on the editing, then I think it's doable with that much."
"I don't want to create a half assed movie, Director Ying."
CEO Wang said in a overbearing manner. He has changed sowhat after the success of «The stars above», at least when it cos to his productions.
He now acts like a perfectionist when it cos to it.
"About 20 million USD, I will create a masterpiece with that."
Seeing his overbearing manner, Ying Yue said while slightly trembling but her voice has conviction.
"That ans we are short on 7 million USD."
The investors till now were Arc production, Top star entertainnt and Ren himself.
Ren has used his money that he had earned from his movies, dramas and advertisents to invest in the project.
"How about we contact that Wood investnt?"
Ren asked as he went through the papers scattered on the table.
Wood investnts was a mid sized investnt company which has contacted them in the morning regarding the project and the investnts.
"I don't think we should go with it. It has so pretty bad rumours about them."
"What rumours?"
"They are a company which will promise the investnts but many tis, they will delay it or lower the amount. That way, they can be in power. I don't think we should contact them."
Ren nodded and agreed with CEO Wang.
"Then, what can we do now?"
"How about we first get the leads for our movie. We have you as the male lead but the female lead has a big role in the movie too. Do you have any thoughts about that?"
CEO Wang said as his gaze alternated between Ren and Ying Yue.
When Ren heard that, he thought about soone who has asked him to let her play the female lead before.
He was thinking about that for a long ti but before Ren could say anything, Ying Yue opened her mouth.
"I have soone I want to be the female lead and I think she would be perfect for it."
"Oh, who is she?"
CEO Wang asked with a interested look. He was thinking that Ying Yue will na actress like Li Xinru, Xie Yujing or Wei Yuo but he was caught unexpected.
Even Ren was caught unexpected.
"I think Xiao Rin will be perfect for the role."
"What?"
"Huh? Xiao Rin."
Ren and CEO Wang both said while looking at her.
"Yes, I think she will suit well with the character. Although she is a new actress, she has showed her acting talent before and her chemistry with Xin Ren is good and you also helped her before, right?"
"Yes, that happened before."
Ren nodded with a dazed expression.
"Even in the movie, the main character will help the female lead realises her dream to beco a singer. I think it would be great if you two can be the male and female leads."
"Well, your reasoning is good and all but I don't think Xiao Rin will appeal to the investors."
"Appeal?"
"Yes, think about it, they will want to get a big actress to maintain the hype and if we got Xiao Rin for it who had just started making a fan base, they will surely not agree."
"But, but I really think that she would be perfect for the role."
CEO Wang scratched his scalp when he heard that. He looked at Ren and asked.
"What are your thoughts on it? Xiao Rin is from your agency, will she able to do the role?"
Ren fell into his thoughts when he heard that.
Xiao Rin as the female lead, he wondered about that.
He knew that she was the future queen of acting and he thought that she would even beco more bigger than his last life since she has debuted earlier this ti.
But was she ready to play the female lead?
Ren thought about it carefully.
Xiao Rin has earlier approached him for the role and has said that she wanted to do it but Ren has just been vague at that ti.
As he was not sure of it.
'She never knew acting truly because she was a natural actress.'
Ren glanced at Ying Yue while thinking that. He knew that he was taking a big chance but he decided to go to with it in the end.
"I think she would be great as the female lead. I am saying that because I know her personally and I had seen her acting. I think she would be perfect."
"You think like that, huh."
CEO Wang fell into thoughts when Ren agreed with Xiao Rin as the female lead.
He honsetly wanted to reject but he suddenly thought about the great chemistry between her and Ren during the drama shoots.
At that ti, they were playing brother and sister on the screen but it was different this ti.
But he also knew that Xiao Rin was a monster rookie and her acting prowess was really enormous.
He wondered about that but he was the person who has taken a risk by casting Ren as the lead when he was a rookie.
'Let's take the risk again!'
He thought that and said.
"Okay, let's go with Xiao Rin as the female lead but we have to convince the investors of this decision."
"Yes."
Ren and Ying Yue both nodded at the sa ti.
