"Kid, you’re gonna have to try real harder than that to get an attack near ," the voice chuckled, but the location of every word was coming from a different place.
However, Klaus wasn’t a rookie... well, in theory, he had decent thinking abilities due to his gar brain.
’We need so area denial and more visibility...Jen, light everything around us on fire,’ After reading his mind Jen didn’t hesitate at all, and in an instant they were both surrounded by endless flas that brought down everything in their way.
The trees collapsed and burned down, the fire this ti was controlled. It didn’t spread at all.
"Man, is that supposed to scare ?" The voice said as a snap echoed from behind them and the fire dispersed.
"Master he is dangerous—"
"I’m not gonna hurt ya, kid," The voice cut Jen’s sentence off, despite the area now being kind of clear around them they still couldn’t see the person.
"Why can’t we see you then?" Klaus looked around scanning behind branches and leaves however there was nothing.
"Because I didn’t allow you to," The voice chuckled as a person suddenly appeared in front of them.
He was extrely tall with long silver like hair tied up in a manbun, he wore a simple white robe that reached all the way down to the ground, the only accessory Klaus could spot was a black necklace with silvery colors.
However, that wasn’t what caught his attention the most.
"Quit staring kiddo," The man said as Klaus kept staring at his dark obsidian eyes. Almost like they were absorbing light itself.
"Who are you?" Klaus finally asked as both he and Jen were still on guard staring at the man in front of them.
"What benefit does knowing my na give you?" He asked Klaus and it kind of made sense, if he wanted to he could have already killed him.
’What should we do?’ Klaus wanted to ask Jen but she just shrugged clearly clueless about the situation.
"What do you want?" Klaus asked as the man analyzed him up and down.
"I don’t know yet," He shrugged as he rubbed his silver hair.
’What?’ Both Klaus and Jen looked at him dumbfounded.
"Drop your guard already, not like a Spark like you could ever harm ," The man was confident in himself however Klaus had no clue what he ant.
"Spark?" He asked back as he looked into the man’s obsidian eyes, whilst slightly lowering his guard.
"Oh? You aren’t even aware of it?" The man started laughing hysterically after Klaus didn’t even know what he ant.
"God your familiar didn’t teach you anything did she?" He wiped away his tears from laughing as they both looked at Jen who hid her face in embarrassnt.
"Tell , boy, what’s your goal?" His eyes turned back onto Klaus.
"To beco the strongest," Klaus didn’t hesitate at all, after all that was his main goal. To beco the strongest mage. He always wanted to be the number one, even as a gar.
The man couldn’t help but laugh at Klaus’s answer, it was a childish answer but it was sothing.
"Call Zephyr," After hearing his na, Klaus nodded, however Jen instantly started shaking visibly.
’What’s wrong?’ Klaus asked inside his mind.
"Zephyr Valerius Severan..." Jen said his full na out loud which made the man smile.
"Goodness, I guess I am famous huh?" He chuckled lightly as he slapped his own back.
"For massacring your own clan," Jen’s sentence left Klaus shocked to the core.
’Own clan..?’ The person in front of him killed his own people? His family? He couldn’t imagine that, he couldn’t imagine killing his entire family..
"Old news little fla, they were asking for it," He sighed then turned to Klaus.
"Don’t look at like that kid, so things have to be done even if people will deem you evil afterwards," Klaus already knew since he wasn’t actually a child. To beco the strongest eventually he would have to commit things he doesn’t want to.
’Strength does co at a price,’ He sighed and looked up.
"So now what?" He asked Zephyr who was just rubbing his head without a care in the world.
"Say, how about I beco your teacher boy,"
’A person that can help get stronger maybe, but what does he benefit from teaching ?’ Most mages in the ga worked in teams, and he knew he was way too weak to handle opponents alone with Jen, since even Jen wasn’t all powerful.
"What do you get out of it?" Klaus’s question made Zephyr smile imdiately.
"Let’s just say I can tell you’ll be interesting in the future," His answer basically didn’t reveal anything at all, Klaus already knew he would be interesting due to his system.
"Deal then," Klaus didn’t need too much ti to think about it, even if Zephyr wasn’t all powerful or the strongest he’d still learn new information, and information was important in his situation.
"Master, think about it for more than a second," Jen tried to interrupt however Klaus and Zephyr were already shaking hands.
’Jen a teacher doesn’t hurt, also who knows what’s inside this forest and what kind of people we’ll et whilst going North,’ Jen nodded after reading Klaus’s thoughts who was still shaking hands with the giant man in front of him.
"A Spark is a beginner level mage," Zephyr said as he let go of Klaus’s hand.
"That’s your first lesson," He scratched his head however Klaus was just staring dumbfounded.
"That’s not a lesson—"
"Khm, let’s continue with our lesson then!" Zephyr cut him off before he could finish which made him facepalm.
’Oh my goodness,’ he sighed inside his mind as he looked at Zephyr who started his explanation.
"So you aren’t aware of rankings, let’s run through those before your training begins!"
He laughed wholeheartedly as he looked at the dumbfounded Klaus.
’God what did I sign up for,’
"First though, what’s your na boy?" His question nearly made Klaus shudder.
’Will he kill if he knows I’m from the Alderstein family?’ He wanted to look at Jen for help however Zephyr was staring directly into his face.
"Call Klaus," He said finally deciding to tell him his actual na.
"Alrighty Klaus, let’s begin then," He snapped his fingers, and sparks of fire started making a word above him.
Despite the size of the letters Klaus felt warr than when Jen used a spell to kill the wolf pack leader.
Then the letters displayed the word SPARK.
"Spark, is a beginner level mage, you could think of them as people who just beca mages, and don’t forget, mages use mana and martial artists channel their aura to fight,"
’So basically ...and mana and aura right,’ He nodded in understanding, then Zephyr snapped his fingers again an the letters changed.
