After Klaus disappeared from the headmaster’s room, Marcus just stood still, thinking about what he had just done for a mont.

’He should be able to handle it,’ he let out a chuckle as he still felt Jyrana’s presence outside.

’She doesn’t give up, does she?’ He walked towards the door and opened it, nearly making Jyrana fall inside as her hands were cupped against her ears, trying to eavesdrop.

"Lady Jyrana," Marcus cleared his throat as she steadied herself like a soldier.

"Sir Klaus was sent on a mission; he won’t be back for a couple of days."

"A mission?!" She seed completely freaked out as if she was separated from her lover; her tone genuinely seed scared as she was biting her nails. "Send after him!"

"I cannot do that," Marcus sighed and leaned in to whisper in her ear, "once he completes this mission, he is allowed to take any senior class; he must do it alone."

Jyrana smiled after hearing the rest of the sentence, then nodded, "I see..."

Both of them just stood still without saying anything, then Jyrana cleared her throat and said her goodbyes.

"Then I will see you, headmaster."

Headmaster Marcus didn’t say anything; he just smiled and nodded as Jyrana walked away.

’Hopefully, he returns safe...that girl is a little bit tricky to deal with.’ He stroked his beard as he returned to his office.

"Like I said! Identify yourself!"

The black knight stood tall, towering above Klaus now, who nearly had birds circling above his head and stars from the amount of force the guy was packing in his punch.

’Holy fuck,’ however, Klaus could barely make out what he was saying; he was still clutching his stomach from the punch.

"I will say it one last ti!" Klaus could feel the man’s mana radiating out from his hands even through the enormous armour on him.

"My na is Klaus Albrecht Von Alderstein," he pushed himself up as he let go of his stomach, trying to resist the gravitational push against his body, which nearly slamd him into the ground.

The knight’s helt seed to shudder for a second; however, he waited since Klaus wasn’t finished, his lips moving slowly.

"I was sent here by Headmaster Marcus to deliver paperwork to soone called Vaelthar Ignivar Drayvok." As soon as Klaus said that na, the knight seed to straighten instantaneously.

"Why didn’t you say that from the start?" His tone instantly beca friendly as he helped Klaus straighten himself.

"Probably because you launched out of nowhere and threw a punch at ?" The knight chuckled at Klaus’s remark, trying to turn the topic around.

"You were moving so fast that I wasn’t able to make out your outfit," he glanced at Klaus up and down, then nodded, "however, now I can see that you are wearing the academy’s attire."

He started holding his shoulder as he helped Klaus walk towards the gate; so people passing by were staring at them, despite that no one said anything.

"Can I just deliver the paperwork then—"

"No," the knight returned to his previous stern state, "your story matches up with what we need, but we’ll need to verify with the academy headmaster and the king."

’Verify, huh?’

They walked past the gigantic gate; inside, it was just like a normal city, buildings stood one after another.

Children ran around on the streets; however, many of them straightened, including adults once the knight and Klaus passed by them.

"I will lead you to our private quarters until we verify the information; you will be privately watched in a room." The knight left no room for negotiation as they arrived in front of an inn, which just seed like a normal inn from the outside.

’Seems normal,’ Klaus looked around on the street, and at the far end of the city, he saw a gigantic black castle, towering above every single building, standing taller than anything he had seen before with its obsidian walls.

’Except for that, that doesn’t seem normal,’ he sighed as he walked forward as the knight had opened the door for him.

The inside caught Klaus off guard, as a bunch of similar-looking knights were standing around, drinking and discussing things, so with and without helts.

Most of them instantly quieted down once they entered, turning to the newcor, Klaus.

"Write a report to the king," the knight who punched Klaus entered after him, instantly signalling to his teammates.

’A report? I guess this will take a while,’ he sighed as he wanted to take a seat since the pressure was still insanely pushing him; however, he wasn’t allowed to.

"Co, I’ll lead you to a room," seeing his struggling form, the knight clutched around his arm and led him upstairs.

Behind them, whispers were echoing, which were really unlike how a knight should act.

"Is he the ssenger guy?"

"How did a kid end up here?"

’I don’t know either,’ Klaus entered a room which was small, way smaller than his dormitory room; all it had was a bed and that’s it.

"You must not leave the room until you are told so. If you do, then you will be executed without any warning," Klaus took a seat on the bed whilst the knight explained so basic information.

"Executed?"

"Yes, if we deem you as a threat, you will be executed without any hesitation."

’That’s not so knightly, threatening a child,’ he wanted to laugh at his words but he held the urge back; he didn’t want to piss off a knight when countless of them were downstairs as well.

"I will let you know once our report goes through." The man closed the door and left Klaus alone with his thoughts inside the dimly lit room, which only had one candle.

’I feel like I’ve gotten myself into sothing that I shouldn’t have,’ he leaned back as the pressure was still pressing down on him; it was uncomfortable and ridiculous that he had to be locked in there; however, he didn’t have a choice.
