’What?’ Klaus didn’t even understand how to begin sensing the mana.

Everyone was silent as the task was handed out; however, no clues were given. All he heard was the footsteps of Eirlys as his vision was complete darkness.

Klaus focused with everything he had; his head was already starting to hurt from the forcing of trying to sense the mana.

’That definitely won’t work,’ he sighed, as mana probably wasn’t sothing he could force to sense.

’Let’s try a different approach,’ this ti he completely cald his breathing, trying to get it into a regular pattern of deep breaths in and out slowly.

’What is the shape in front of ...’ Without extending his hand, he started to feel a tingling feeling in his head, as if his brain was ringing and being touched by multiple hands.

His ears slowly started ringing as well; nonetheless, he didn’t stop; he focused with everything he had and tried and tried.

Until eventually, it was like a third eye opening; despite his eyes being closed, he felt the fluctuating mana in front of him, being drawn and moved around in a shape he could nearly feel and make out completely.

The mana seed to draw lines in front of him, which took the shape of a star.

"A..." He was the first to speak up as the rest of the students stayed silent. Eirlys walked in front of him swiftly and focused on aligning the shape even more so that Klaus could feel it better.

’Impossible...’ Eirlys thought as she looked at Klaus’s eyeballs twitching behind his eyelids despite his breathing being calm and steady; his body was covered in damp sweat already from the sheer amount of focus.

"A star.." He finally saw the shape properly and was able to decipher what the mana moving around had ant.

Eirlys leaned in close and whispered in his ears, to not disturb the other students; her voice was shaky from the pure shock of him being able to get it, yet no one was able to hear what she said, except for Klaus.

"Correct, you may open your eyes now."

He instantly did, and he saw the golden star forming again, floating in front of him. It was beautiful. Like an actual star had descended from the sky.

’I see...’ Klaus finally realised the state his body was in. It felt heavy and wet...from the amount of sweat he had produced.

All of the students had their eyes closed still. Everyone had different shapes in front of them. So had a circle, so had a triangle.

He turned and saw Matthias shaking in his seat, sweat dripping through his clothes from the sheer focus he was trying to achieve.

His eyes twitched behind his eyelids, yet he didn’t say anything.

Eirlys nodded at Klaus, then wrote sothing on a piece of paper and put it away on her desk.

’Is she making a note of ?’ Klaus was surprised but not at the sa ti by the fact that he got it.

Knowing he had a system, which was basically a cheat, already ant he could beco strong, way stronger than the average mage.

He turned and looked at Evaline, who seed to be in a much calr state than Matthias. Matter of fact, everyone was in a much calr state.

Minutes passed by without anyone saying anything. It was pure silence, which made Klaus feel uncomfortable.

’Feels bad knowing I cheated my way through it basically...but who cares,’ he shrugged it off. In the end, the only thing that mattered was reaching your goals, not the way you reached it. That didn’t matter.

Well, not to Klaus.

The shapes slowly started disappearing as the class had ended. Eirlys cleared her throat and spoke up to everyone.

"You may all open your eyes," she said. Instantly, the shapes disappeared completely, and every student opened their eyes, seeing nothing in front of them.

Klaus turned to look at Matthias, who seed to be sweating profusely still. His facial expression, despite that, was calm, almost like he had expected this to happen.

"It seems everyone needs to improve their mana sensing," she chuckled once as she looked up at the clock, seeing that the class was now over.

"You may all leave, try and practice the sensing of your friends’ spells in your free ti," despite her dismissing the class, none of the students budged; most of them seed flabbergasted, except for Matthias who smiled once and started walking out.

’That’s all I guess,’ Klaus shrugged and followed after him, his chair creaking once, making most of the attention turn towards him.

As soon as he stepped out into the hallway behind Matthias, Jyrana was already there waiting for him, leaning against the wall in front of the class.

’Seriously?’ He looked at her and she turned away for a second, then coughed once.

"I have a break class, so nothing to attend," Klaus wanted to facepalm at her sentence; she kind of understood her situation due to Evaline’s explanation yesterday, but it still felt odd to him.

Matthias instantly dipped, possibly rushing towards his next class, so Klaus pulled out his titable.

"Magical defence principles—"

"Ooh, that’s a great class... apparently," Jyrana cut Klaus off again; however, he didn’t care much.

They moved to the side to let the students pass, then Klaus looked at the titable again, which said "TG3?" He looked at Jyrana for help, not understanding where that classroom was.

"It stands for training ground three... which is behind the building," as soon as she said it, he understood what the letters had ant; it seed obvious, kind of shaful not to understand it.

"Just lead there," he said, and Jyrana took it as an order instantly, bowing and leading the way out of the main building.

As soon as they walked out of the building, they started walking behind it, near the forest area which Klaus still had never gone into.

Nor did he care to go into it.

"This is it," she said, as in front of them, many students already seed to be waiting on the training ground.
