Chapter One

Asli's icy gaze fixed on the silhouette of the man at the far end of the warehouse. He stood tall, almost imposing, yet alone. That didn't look like any of her n, she was sure. Nobody in her organization ca here around this ti on Tuesdays.

'Who is that?' Imdiately she thought of it, her instinct told her to move closer but in silence. She moved like a wraith, her leather boots silently walking toward where he stood. Even though she was silent, she knew it would be soon before he sensed her presence. If a man was fearless to be here without invitation, it could an he was a part of their world.

He turned sharply, and quickly she hid herself but saw his face. Why was he here? This place was hers. She fought for it. She killed many for it as well as in it.

Her adoptive father had brought her many tis to train her. At the age of six, she killed her favorite pet here. He taught her almost everything she knew. And that included why she hated the Dawsons.

Yet, here Aht Dawson stood. Her enemy. He thought his family was better than hers. Little did he know that she was raised to end them. A chuckle escaped her lips as she thought of her next move, wondering if this was a trap.

She drew closer to where he was and could tell by how stiffly he stood, he had already sensed soone's presence.

As if on a count, Aht turned, and they both aid their guns at each other. She stood in the dark, whereas where he stood, the early moonlight shone over his figure.

It was past seven in the evening and she should be sowhere else yet, she was aiming a gun at her enemy. It all began to make sense to her, why her adoptive father hated him too.

All her failed operations were because of him and his organization. Always double crossing hers and making her family lose their investnts. After all they did to her family before she was born, why were they still taking from them? Still snatching stuff from the man who adopted her and raised her as his own? The Dawsons killed her real parents and siblings. Every scar she gave herself was to remind her of her revenge; to end them all when they least expected it.

'I have to shoot him at all costs. I have to finish him off. I have to show everyone I am still the only one the Top Assassins call Lady Boss. He is no match for ,' she, for a minute, assured herself that the man before her who was also aiming a gun at her was a nobody.

'Oh he was sobody,' she quickly rembered. He was her enemy. One of the people she had carefully structured to kill.

Even though she was eager to finish him off, the question was, was he worthy of just a bullet? He deserved to be tortured before being killed.

Why was he in her territory? They only attacked and hijacked her people on the street during their operations but why did he co here?

How foolish of him to think she would let him go after coming here!

Then, a gunshot shattered the silence, yet no cry pierced the air. She hadn't fired the gun. But, she did not witness his hand gripping the revolver either.

With eyes trained to see through the darkness, she sought any movent from him, but even her keen gaze couldn't pierce the depths of his intentions.

Another shot rang out, and this ti, pain surged through her calf. 'The bastard caught off guard.' She murmured to herself. Was that why he remained composed, even with both their weapons aid at each other? Did he ask soone to hide behind her and shoot? 'I should have pulled the trigger when I had the chance, instead of overthinking.'

Despite her wounded calf, Asli stood her ground, determined not to show any weakness in front of him.

After the first two gunshots, they both scrambled for cover, exchanging fire. Bullets whizzed past them, neither willing to accept defeat.

In a matter of monts, they both realized they had run out of bullets. The watch tied around her wrist ticked loudly , and Asli knew she needed to escape from the situation quickly. It was ti to play her second life.

Should she run out of here, would he not think she was weak and running from their fight? This was barely even one. But, wouldn't he?

Suddenly, the pain in her calf surged, nearly forcing a scream from her lips. She had been crouching behind the pile of roofing sheets for far too long.

Since she was convinced he had also run out of bullets, she quickly ran out of her hiding place, and into her car.

*****************

"Lisa! Lisa! Lisa" "We love you, Lisa." Fans chanted as Lisa heard her na from behind the stage. To these people, she was the sweet and kind celebrity everyone loved.

However, to her, this was just a cover. Lisa, Asli, Boss Lady, whatever na they called her, she remained the sa person.

She had the voice and the police were trailing her when she was sixteen. Besides evoking sympathy as an orphan whose parents were tragically killed before she could grow her first tooth, what else could she have done or said to earn their trust?

At the ti, a poster on the wall caught her attention. The model was beautiful and they both had the sa figure. They looked around the sa age. She didn't have the passion to sing but she had the passion to shoot anyone in her way, yet she needed the trust.

Nobody aside from her father knew she was Lisa. Not even the nanny she was close to.

While they chanted her na, she slowly walked to the stage, hiding the pain in her calf. She had removed the bullet earlier, happy it hadn't touched her veins or any other organ.

The chants and screams beca louder as she graced them with her presence.

She sang her first song and they sang along. The second song ca and they did the sa. However, when the third was about to end, they shouted, "Blood blood blood."

Being the Mafia boss she was, her senses heightened, but she did not realize the blood was coming from her.

'Fu*k!' She cussed out when her feet suddenly felt wet.

The lights imdiately went off, trying to conceal what it was.
