Her hand was suddenly wrapped in his. Aurelia Shaw froze for a mont, then turned back and smiled at Mason Nightshade. "What is it?"
Seeing her act like she always did, a naless weight lifted off Mason’s chest. He pulled her into his arms, rubbed her hair. "What are you thinking about?"
"About Jovana Shaw." Aurelia lowered her gaze, letting her long lashes hide the depths in her eyes.
Mason wasn’t an ordinary man. The slightest abnormality would trigger his suspicion.
All this ti, she actually hadn’t realized he already knew she’d been reborn. Yet he could pretend nothing had happened. It showed just how deep his scheming ran.
"I promised I’d give her a big gift."
"Perfect. I’ve prepared a big gift for her too."
Aurelia lifted her eyes to look at Mason, confusion in her gaze. Mason smiled, indulgent and doting. "I thought you couldn’t be bothered to dirty your hands with this bunch, so I helped you prepare a little sothing. No idea if it’ll co in handy, though."

When they ca back, Jovana Shaw was just walking down the spiral staircase. The whole room was sunk in darkness, with a single beam of light trained on her. She wore a red backless dress and red diamond-studded heels.
Anyone familiar with Aurelia could tell at a glance this was the look she liked: that flamboyant red that made her even more stunning and alluring. A brazen aura, a brazen outfit, paired with that cold, proud face.
Jovana wanted to imitate Aurelia, but she usually played the cute, innocent style. Suddenly switching to a flamboyant, sexy style made her look awkward and out of place.
Jovana remained blissfully unaware, imrsed in her own little world.
Everyone was watching her.
Right now she was the protagonist.
Aurelia wasn’t here and couldn’t ss up her engagent. Could anything be going more smoothly?
Jovana walked over and hooked her arm through Leo Campbell’s. Leo stared at her, completely entranced. Jovana’s lips curved in a smile, never realizing that as Leo looked at her, all he could see in his mind was Aurelia’s face.
Why were they clearly sisters, yet their looks weren’t the slightest bit alike?
Looking at this cute little face, he only missed Aurelia’s flashy, striking features all the more.

In a corner.
Aurelia watched the scene quietly.
Mason sat beside her, his arm draped over the back of her chair, wordlessly broadcasting the dominant ssage that she was under his wing. They might not be speaking, but there was no way for anyone nearby to ignore the two of them.
Even in the corner, they were still the most eye-catching ones.
"Thank you all for coming to my and Brother Leo’s engagent banquet. From the first ti I saw Brother Leo, I fell for him, drawn by his gentlemanly manner and the way he spoke. In this life, there is only Brother Leo in my heart..."
"Bzzzt—!" The lights suddenly went out.
What’s going on?
Jovana looked around, her heart pounding uneasily. "Hurry and have soone see what’s going on!"
A servant ran over in a panic, leaned to her ear and whispered, "Second Miss, I just saw the Eldest Miss and Young Master Night co in."
"What?!" Aurelia ca back again!
It had to be her doing!
"Throw her out. I don’t care what you do, just get her out of here for !" Jovana’s face twisted ferociously.
The servant was startled and hurriedly ran off.
"What’s wrong?" Leo Campbell frowned and asked.
"Looks like the wiring short-circuited. I sent them to check." Jovana turned back, her face all smiles.
Leo shot her a suspicious, lingering glance.
"Bzzzt—!"
The giant screen suddenly lit up!
