Aurelia Shaw smiled shalessly, "Could you help investigate sothing?"
As expected, she must have sothing for him, Viscount Zhou rolled his eyes at her disdainfully, "Go on."
"Two things: first, the cause of Mason Nightshade's father's death, and second, find out where that agent nad Nancy Carter is now." Nancy Carter and Eleanor Spencer share an unusual relationship. She worries sothing might go wrong, as she always finds Nancy Carter a bit odd.
Viscount Zhou frowned, "Mason Nightshade's father's death? Can't you just ask Mason directly or his family? Wouldn't that be clearer?"
Aurelia replied, "I don't want Mason to know I'm investigating this matter. Besides, about Mason's father, it seems to be a taboo in the Nightshade Family, nobody dares to ntion it. I can only rely on you to help investigate."
"Always ordering around to work." Viscount Zhou stood up, "Are you hungry? Should I make sothing for you to eat?"
"No need..." Before Aurelia could finish, her phone rang in her pocket.
Seeing the caller ID, she picked up, "Hey, Mason."
Viscount Zhou paused his steps, a complex emotion on his face, he slightly lowered his head, his face hidden in the shadow, emotion unreadable.
"Oh, I got it, I'll be downstairs in a bit."
Hanging up the phone, Aurelia tidied up and stood up, patting Viscount Zhou's back, "Mason's coming to pick up later." Slling the heavy scent of alcohol on him, she frowned, "Have you been drinking again?"
She grabbed his clothes, forcefully pulling him to the bed, tugging the quilt over him.
"Just stay in bed and take a nap, drink less in the future, you're not that young anymore. And didn't Uncle Zhou already hand over the family business to you? Don't let him down."
Viscount Zhou looked at Aurelia, "How was my career in my previous life?"
"Very successful." Aurelia's lips curved up, "So successful it makes a little jealous."
"What about love?" He looked at her.
"Love, well..." Aurelia stretched her voice, tapped his forehead lightly, "Sigh, you're really hopeless, almost thirty and still haven't gotten a wife, not to ntion a girlfriend, a typical workaholic."
Before he could ask anything else, she sternly said, "Don't talk anymore, go to sleep now."
Viscount Zhou's gaze made her sowhat uneasy, always feeling like sothing had changed.
Viscount Zhou lifted the corners of his lips, revealing two cute little tiger teeth as he grinned charmingly, "Hmph, I was born smart, how could I not succeed in my career? Alright, you go now, don't delay my sleep."
Aurelia stood up, stopped at the door, glanced back at Viscount Zhou once more, then continued and left.
Hearing the front door close, a faint sadness surfaced in Viscount Zhou's eyes. This room he had lived in for over a decade suddenly felt so quiet, quiet enough to make him uncomfortable.
Before leaving, Aurelia instructed Ursa Miller to check on Viscount Zhou later, as she always sensed sothing off about him today.
Going downstairs, she saw a black Maserati parked by the roadside, Mason Nightshade stood tall leaning against the car, a cigarette between his fingers, watching her approach. He instinctively put out the cigarette, a smile on his lips as he walked over to her.
"Are you cold?" Mason wrapped her hand in his palm, squeezing her chilly fingertips. Mason's hands were perpetually cold, so he rubbed them tenderly.
"Wear sothing thicker next ti you go out." He chided, fastening her seatbelt, then circled the car to get into the driver's seat.
