Today’s dinner of Offal Hotpot or Motsunabe would match perfectly with alcohol. Therefore, I figured it would be a good idea to send Demiurgos-sama so hotpot to go with his favourite saké.
Today, I looked up the weekly ranking for saké ideas.
First bottle: Tochigi saké.
A Junmai Daiginjo slowly brewed over a low temperature.
It has a fruity aroma reminiscent of lons, a soft mouthfeel and a gentle sweetness. Recently, it has been so popular that supply could not keep up with demands, making it difficult to get hold of this saké.
Second bottle: Fukui Prefecture saké.
[9] Junmai Daiginjo aged at 0 ℃ for 2 years.
Long ageing under icy temperature is said to give the saké a grapefruit-like aroma. It is said to have won a gold dal for the third consecutive year at the US National Saké Appraisal [10].
By the way, saké from this series has been used for many governnt sponsored ceremonies and served to many important people from all around the world.
Third Bottle: Yamagata sake.
Ukiyo-e label dry Junmai Daiginjo [11].
This dry saké was completed after a three year trial in response to a request for dry saké in this series. [1] A dry saké with a refreshing and fruity aroma.
I chose this one for its very distinctive ukiyo-e label.
Now that I have the three bottles of saké along with the premium canned goods, [8] I placed them on the table with the freshly made offal hotpot (soy sauce based broth). After so thought, I also included a packet of Chinese egg noodles.
Right, this should be good enough.
I put my hands together and prayed, “O, Demiurgos-sama, please, accept these humble offerings.”
“Oh? Oh, thank you for taking the trouble to do this each ti~ I was really looking forward to it.”
“Today’s offerings are the usual saké and canned goods. Additionally, I have made this offal hotpot, it should go well with the saké, please accept my humble offerings.”

“Speaking of which, let tell you now. The Kingdom of Reijseger [5] had been destroyed.”
“Eh? What?” fully awake now, I could only blink for a mont before saying, [8] “Was it defeated in a war against Malbert or sothing?”
“Umu, yes.” [7] There was a ‘crack’ of a bottle cap being twisted open followed by a soft glug of liquid. After a lip smacking ‘ah’, Demiurgos-sama continued, [4] “When Reijseger started the war against Malbert, the demon races from the north ca down and joined in the war as well.
