Tondemo Skill - 302 - City of Carelina Once More
I could see the familiar cityscape from between the open gates.
“The city of Carelina… Alright, let’s hurry up and go inside,”
”Umu”
“”Ou!””
Fer trotted into the City of Carelina with on his back. [2] Dora-chan was flying alongside as usual while Sui napped inside the leather bag.
The gatekeeper was a little surprised to see Fer but luckily recognised him from the last ti we were here. [1] He was allowed in but I had to show them my golden S Rank card for Dora-chan to co with us.
Hurrah for the power of S Rank cards!
As I travelled along a familiar street, I had the feeling of hocoming. [1] This was the first major city I visited that welcod properly. It was also the first city where I stayed for quite a while.
I have lots of good mories here.
“Alright, let’s go greet the people at the Adventurer’s Guild!” [5]
The receptionist at the Adventurer’s Guild recognised imdiately. She shot to her feet the mont we stepped in and began to laugh. She sounded kind of nervous.
Um, Receptionist-san, surely you don’t have to be so anxious?
Just then, a muscular and energetic old man stepped out. [5]
It was Willem-san, the Guild Master. [5]
“Oho, it’s been a long ti!”
“Ah, yes, long ti no see.”
[8] “I heard you’ve ranked up. An S Ranker now, eh?”
“Yes, I’ve also picked up a new familiar. Please et Dora-chan. Dora-chan, please co out.”
For so reason, Dora-chan was stuck to the back of my head. [1] I don’t know what he’s doing but his nails are digging into my head and it hurts…
“Erm, he’s a Pixie Dragon…”
“Hahah! You’ve finally gotten yourself a dragon familiar!” [5] [9] He squinted his eyes, “Where on earth did you get a baby dragon though?”
“He’s not a baby dragon. That’s what an adult Pixie Dragon looks like.”
“Gahaha! [9] I can imagine the reaction of a certain guild master about that!” Willem-san laughed.
[9] anwhile, Dora-chan clung harder to my head. Was he so badly traumatised by Elland-san that he now developed a phobia against guild masters? I could only laugh helplessly as I tried to detach Dora-chan’s claws from my hair.
“Hey, dragons aside, just walking around with three familiars is alread a very rare thing,” comnted Willem-san.
“Really? I guess so… hahaha,” I deflected with a stupid laugh. Speaking of which, he does have a point there. [9] I’ve seen Adventurers with familiars before but they usually only have one large monster or two small ones with them. I've never seen anyone with three monsters aside from myself.
“I look forward to working with you while you’re here,” [9] said Willem as he patted my shoulder. “It’s good to have you with us.”
“I look forward to working with you too,” I said. “I plan to stay here for a bit and, [4] oh, I have need so dismantling service too.” [5]
[4] “Oh? I suppose you’ll want all the at again?”
[4] “Yes, I’d recently learned how to dismantle monsters, but I’m afraid the larger monsters are beyond my skills for now.” [5]
“I see, I’m sure we can do sothing about that. Let’s head over to the warehouse.” [5]
We trailed after the Guild Master to the warehouse.
[9] Willem-san threw open the door and yelled out, “Ou, Johan, I brought soone to see you! Soone we haven’t seen for a long ti!”
At the Guild Master’s call, a muscular middle-aged man stuck out his bald head and laughed, “Oooh! Brother! It’s been a long ti. Are you here for business? Did you bring sothing interesting to hone my skills?”
[6] “Ah… not really…” [5]
“Alright, show what you’ve got.”
I obliged and brought out the following:
Wyvern x 8
Wild Bison x 3
Golden Sheep x 3
Giant Horned Boar x 1
Rock Bird x 2
Blue Bull x 10
Giant Turkey x 3
The Giant Horned Boar was the size of a mini truck, [8] and not sothing I feel confident about handling. Also, I have a lot of Blue Bulls and took out only 10 of them this ti. These two alone should yield a lot of at.
“Oh, Wyverns and Golden Sheep! And that’s a Giant Horned Boar! As expected, Mukouda-san doesn’t disappoint,” Johan-san looked over the monsters excitedly. [1] [3] “It’s been years since Carelina’s guild seen a Golden Sheep or Horned Boar. These are excellent stuff.”
I’m glad you’re happy but, “Can you handle it?”
“What- of course!” [6] he slapped his biceps. “My skills are topnotch.”
“Well, if that’s the case,” I said, feeling a little provoked, “ould you handle a bit more?”
“Oh? But of course,” it was the Guild Master who answered . There was a huge grin on his face, “Thanks to you we’ve managed to make quite an excellent amount of money.”
“Very well,” I smiled back. “What about buying the ones that you couldn’t back then? How about it?”
I took out the Chira and Orthros that’s been sleeping in my [Item Box] and looked challengingly at them.
“Oh, and this one too,” I upped the ante and took out a Dim Grey Rhino as well.
“… …”
[6] The laughing, almost jokey tone disappeared at the sight of these rare monsters. Fufufu, don’t worry, my reaction was the sa as yours the first ti I saw these legendary monsters too.
“Um…”
“Woah…”
“I totally forgot you showed us the Chira and Orthros before…”
[6] “I must have blocked it out of my mory…”
“Is that a Dim Grey Rhino? Damn, that’s rare too.”
“Yes, well,” I cleared my throat. “Fer and the others went on a hunt and brought it back…”
“What do you think, Johan?”
“Hmm, I’ve handled Dim Grey Rhinos before. As for the Chira and Orthros… I guess it’s not impossible since the anatomy should be too complex…” said Johan-san. He seed to be the calr of the two.
“Umu, we’ll take the Dim Grey Rhino but I’m afraid we could only take either the Chira or the Orthros.”
“[5] So, you’ll take one of them?” [7] I said hopefully. That will at least reduce the number of ‘dead stock’ in my [Item Box].
“Umu…” [5]
[6] Guild Master Willem studied the two creatures with a serious face while Johan and I waited tensely.
“”Tell him to take the Chira,””
Eh? The Chira?
“”Umu, we can eat the at.””
Eh? Oh, right. I think Fer said sothing about this before but… could this eerie-looking monster really be eaten?”
“Ahem, could Chira be eaten?” I asked out loud.
“Not that I’ve heard of, do you know, Johan?”
“Never heard about it either…” [5]
Well, that’s not surprising. The people here don't seem to know that Avering’s soft-shelled turtles could be eaten either. [5]
Hmm, I guess the best way to make sure is to depend on [Appraisal].

S-Rank monster. Edible. It’s delicious whether grilled or stewed, first-rate red at.
So, it really is edible… moreover, the [Appraisal] even called it first-rate red at. Though, not that anyone could guess from its appearance…
Now that I know it could be eaten, I persuaded them to buy the Chira. Naturally, I want the at.
“Alright, I’ll take care of it,” [7] said Johan-san cheerfully.
“Give us four days. I’ll have the money ready for you by then,” said Willem-san.
I bade the Guild Master and Johan-san goodbye and left the Adventurer’s Guild.
Alright, let’s head over to Lambert-san’s place next. I’m sure he’ll want to talk shampoo and soaps with .
Also, there are so things I’d like to consult with him.

[9] Weird Dialogue: For so reason, Willem’s dialogue is out of sync with Mukouda’s. Could only guess that Eguchi-san wants to reveal so information and just depended on Gahahaha! Random Dialogue to do it.
Adjust so that the flow is more natural.
