The crowd on the street gradually settled down.

Accompanied by loudspeakers, large screens, and other various channels like television, computers, and mobile phones, the reassuring speech of the Great Bright Buddha was broadcasted, causing the disciples to stop their actions with regretful faces, only wishing they hadn’t failed to die monts before.

At the sa ti, the various chanical Buddhas that had been in action all ca to a halt.

A tallic Great Buddha, standing over ten ters tall, ca to rest in a parking lot, its body still maintaining the posture of bending over and extending a palm, just like those demon-subduing statues in temples.

At that mont, Bai Yiyi stood atop the head of the stationary Great Buddha, looking down at the situation on the street and gently exhaled, "It seems Lin Xing has already achieved his goal."

As she thought this, the sound of Lin Xing’s voice emanated from beneath her feet in the Great Buddha, "Master Bai, follow the guide over here."

She then saw a series of bright lights flashing nearby, seemingly guiding the way.

Without suspicion, Bai Yiyi followed the guidance and continued forward, eventually delving deep underground to where Lin Xing and Chang Shen were located.

She looked at the working chanical Buddha and curiously asked, "Is this guy the mastermind behind everything? Is he the consciousness backup of the Great Bright Buddha?"

Chang Shen deliberately turned and looked deeply at Bai Yiyi, saying hauntingly, "You may call Chang Shen. I have no connection to the Great Bright Buddha; I was rely drawn here by him."

Seeing that Bai Yiyi wanted to speak, Chang Shen seed to already know what she was about to say and calmly stated, "I know, you’re Bai Yiyi, Lin Xing’s master."

"You’re also a forr top 100 YouTuber, one of the top ten most comrcially valuable celebrities. Your sharp critique of Lin Xing’s video remains in the top ten for total network views to this day."

During the process of calming the entire Buddha Country, Chang Shen had further gathered information about Bai Yiyi and Lin Xing and had even watched a few of Bai Yiyi’s videos.

Hearing Chang Shen’s words, Bai Yiyi felt there was more to what he was saying, so she asked Lin Xing, "What exactly is this thing?"

Lin Xing was quite curious about other people’s perception of Chang Shen and asked, "Master Bai, what do you think?"

Bai Yiyi carefully sensed Chang Shen’s presence and slowly said, "He gives the feeling of a malevolent spirit, but could such a spirit possess this level of intelligence? It’s almost sarcastic and mocking."

Chang Shen did not wish for Lin Xing to continue lumping him together with malevolent spirits.

"The lunatics from the Demon Sect are each bizarrely tempered, cruel, and bloodthirsty. In their eyes, everyone else except for themselves and those they deem worthy are no different from beasts, to be toyed with, killed at a whim."

"To them, malevolent spirits are regarded as even lesser than beasts, nothing more than feces."

Reflecting on his own battle and interactions with Lin Xing, Chang Shen beca increasingly certain of this.

This Lin Xing was a typical Demon Sect fanatic, and the world in his eyes likely followed a tiered model of humans, beasts, and excrent.

"At least a beast in their care might serve as a pet, living out a few more days, even having the chance to complete a normal lifespan."

"If deed excrent by these madn, then it would be stripped of even the most basic rights of an animal..."

As he thought of this, Chang Shen felt a slight stirring in his heart.

"From my observations, Bai Yiyi holds a status in Lin Xing’s eyes that is below humans but above beasts."

"And in his eyes, I am probably ranked below beasts but above excrent."

"This cannot continue..."

Thinking of this, Chang Shen continued his work while explaining, "I am not the malevolent spirit you imagine, but a god born from Spiritual Energy."

Upon hearing this, Bai Yiyi’s face was full of doubt, "A god? You’re talking nonsense."

Chang Shen knew that the following words concerned his standing in the eyes of a Demon Sect powerhouse like Lin Xing and patiently clarified, "What your world separately refers to as spiritual chanisms and malevolent Qi are in fact both known as Spiritual Energy."

"Your understanding of malevolent Qi has always been too biased."

"Malevolent Qi is a kind of spiritual remnant within Spiritual Energy, containing the True Spirit of Ancient Immortals."

Bai Yiyi felt overwheld by the explanation and couldn’t help but interrupt again, "And what exactly are these Ancient Immortals?"

Chang Shen shook his head at this, "Information on the Ancient Immortals is rather vague. All I can say... my research suggests that there was a catastrophic war between Immortals and demons long ago that seed to end in the near-total annihilation of the righteous Immortals."

"So of these greatly gifted Immortals, even in death, didn’t entirely fade away but beca part of the world, rging into the Spiritual Energy."

Hearing this, Bai Yiyi was startled, having never heard such a theory before. She quickly asked, "This war between Immortals and demons you speak of... does it an we are all descendants of the Demon Sect?"

Chang Shen naturally nodded, "In all the domains today, all lineages that cultivate quickly, can easily lose control, and struggle to ascend are thoroughly techniques of the Demon Sect."

After saying so, his mind wandered to other legends on the topic.

The fact was, the legends regarding malevolent Qi, such as the Immortal True Spirits and the great war between Immortals and demons, were just the most widely circulated.

In many places, it was believed there was no war between Immortals and demons; instead, malevolent Qi was thought to have transford from the flesh and blood of so Ancient God after their death. Others believed malevolent Qi stemd from an internal struggle within the Demon Sect, being curses leftover from countless Demon Sect ancestors after their battles.

However, having traveled to many worlds and explored nurous ruins, Chang Shen considered himself to have deeply investigated the origins of malevolent Qi; he found the explanation of the war between Immortals and demons most convincing and had no doubt about it.

On the other side, Lin Xing, upon hearing Chang Shen’s explanation, recalled his own insights into malevolent Qi from his previous cultivation.

Previously, with the help of a malevolent spirit, he had practiced a cultivation thod that fed on the grievances of all beings, propelling his Infinite Future Awareness to the first tier. Then, he had sensed that within malevolent Qi, there seed to be sothing akin to a systematic form of cultivation.

His thod of using a malevolent spirit to cultivate the grievance of all beings felt like extracting the essence of this system to supplent his own cultivation.

Now, hearing Chang Shen’s words, Lin Xing felt an even greater awareness of the complexity of malevolent Qi.

"If malevolent Qi is so extraordinary, then why would the Immortal Court expel it to the lower realms?"

Thinking thus, Lin Xing voiced his question to see what Chang Shen thought about it.

Upon hearing the question, Chang Shen imdiately said, "Naturally, it’s because Immortals and demons are irreconcilable."

"Those in the heavens are old demons, steeped in years; how could they not clash with the True Spirit remnants of the Ancient Immortals? More than clashing, the more advanced in cultivation the demon is, the more poisonous the Ancient Immortal True Spirit is to them."

"Forget about them; even among the mortals in this world, who don’t cultivate the Demon Sect’s Secret Techniques, how many can endure the influence of an Ancient Immortal’s True Spirit?"

"Once they can’t withstand the influence of the Ancient Immortal’s True Spirit, they might transform into an ignorant malevolent spirit. Although capable of wielding a sliver of the Ancient Immortal’s Divine Skills, they would beco less than wild beasts, utterly bereft of any intellect."

Chang Shen did not forget the purpose and focus of his words and emphasized, "However, sotis intelligence is born under the confluence of Ancient Immortal True Spirits."

"So people believe they are the reincarnated bodies of the Ancient Immortals, but many others see them as gods born from Spiritual Energy."

"And I am, of course, such a god."
