333: Chapter 264: Whirlwind (47)_2 333: Chapter 264: Whirlwind (47)_2 He lifted his head to look at the desolate cityscape and furrowed his brows thinking, “I’m having another episode, just like at She Shen Cliff…”
“But it doesn’t feel as unbearable this ti, which ans my illness isn’t that serious today.”
He took a few steps towards the outskirts of the city, then suddenly turned back.
“No, I must rescue soone first…”
“Right, I have to rescue Jing Shiyu first.
After saving soone, I’ll go have fun.”
“Or perhaps have fun while rescuing soone.”
Accompanying the sotis contradictory, sotis unified thoughts in his mind, he staggered toward the location where Jing Shiyu was, while everything around him rapidly receded in his eyes.
But one mont he was in mid-air, and the next he plumted to the ground.
Lin Xing touched his forehead, and the rune that symbolized immortal energy was gradually dissipating, as well as the might bestowed upon him by that strand of immortal energy completely fading away.
“Can’t fly anymore?”
“I need to think…
lives are at stake, I’ve got to hurry, no delays.”
As Lin Xing pondered, when he ca to his senses, he found himself swinging towards a distant building like a spider.
And the thing he used to swing with was a long chunk of flesh, resembling intestines, that he didn’t know where it ca from.
“Disgusting…”
A strong sense of discomfort surged within him, “Such disgusting things require gloves.”
Lin Xing hurriedly pulled out a flesh-colored glove and put it on, then continued to swing toward the distance.
The tool in his hand, functioning like an extension of his arm, effortlessly latched onto the edges of buildings, aiding his swift flight through the city.
Lin Xing didn’t know how much ti had passed when he ca back to his senses and saw Jing Shiyu with her eyes closed, leaning against a corner of the wall, her strands of hair writhing back and forth like so type of insect.
“Evil energy deeply rooted in the sea of consciousness, limbs and bones brimming with vitality, isn’t that just fine?
It’s more fun than before.”
Lin Xing shook his head, turned, and was about to leave, “I’m off, ti to find so new amusent.”
But as he turned, he noticed Jing Shiyu was still lying in front of him, with even more anomalies on her body.
“Are you following ?”
Lin Xing tried walking away again and again, yet he always found Jing Shiyu appearing in front of him.
He clearly rembered leaving, but ultimately he always returned to Jing Shiyu’s side.
Lin Xing suddenly felt a heaviness in his heart, a feeling of breathlessness, and he said in irritation, “What kind of evil power is this, to cling to …”
Just then, Lin Xing suddenly heard a continuous booming sound.
He looked up and realized that many airplane-like objects were surrounding him from all directions.
On the ground, White Eagle Country soldiers were approaching with combat vehicles and tanks.
“Lin Xing, we an no harm…”
A voice ca through the loudspeaker.
Lin Xing slightly frowned, “What are they trying to say?”
He tried to soothe his restless soul and listened more carefully, then suddenly felt the earth surge, the entire world turned upside down.
When Lin Xing finally climbed up from the ruins, he saw the active combat vehicles, tanks, and airplanes now assembled together like ugly Lego bricks in a haphazard array.
The White Eagle Country soldiers were like toy figurines, sitting in a circle with stiff bodies, motionless.
“Have they been attacked by so evil spirit?
Thankfully, they’re unhard…”
Lin Xing turned around to look at Jing Shiyu in his arms and muttered, “It was you who used evil powers to attack others just now, wasn’t it?”
“You can’t misuse your powers like this, it’s illegal.”
“Let think…
I still need to change you back.”
Lin Xing extended a finger and pointed directly at Jing Shiyu’s forehead, “Change back!”
“Change back!”
“Quickly change back!”
Looking at Jing Shiyu’s hair growing longer and the veins on her face bulging, Lin Xing felt his irritation mounting.
Just then, he seed to sense sothing and suddenly lifted his head.
Looking up at the growing black dot in the sky, the next mont he was engulfed in endless light and heat.
When Lin Xing regained his senses, he once again put his finger on Jing Shiyu’s forehead.
“Change back!”
“Change back!”
Soon after, Lin Xing once again sensed the peculiar presence from the sky.
But he disregarded it, focusing instead on Jing Shiyu in his arms.
He repeatedly felt Jing Shiyu in his embrace grow fuzzier and slicker, then with a loud noise, reverted to her previous form.
Over and over, ti and ti again, Lin Xing thought to himself, “Why can’t it ever fully heal?”
“Why can it never be fully healed?”
“What’s missing?”
“What exactly is missing?”
Lin Xing gritted his teeth, striving to recall all of his past mories: “I had a way, I rember I had a way.”
Finally, after countless attempts at healing and recalling, a flash of enlightennt pierced through Lin Xing’s heart.
“I rember now.”
“There needs to be resentnt.”
“Resentnt is the source of everything.”
“Others’ resentnt can reach out to the future.”
“What about my own?”
“My own resentnt can take back to the past.”
“But the resentnt of one who has died doesn’t work, for death brings unconsciousness, leaving no choice…”
As he reminisced through the mories in his mind, he murmured: “To save one, one must kill!”
“Kill the dearest!
Kill the loved ones!”
“By taking lives, one may save them all!”
The next mont, Lin Xing suddenly felt the tips of his fingers dampen.
Looking down, he found his sword finger, at so unknown ti, had pressed against the opponent’s heart, tearing through Jing Shiyu’s layers of skin and tightly adhering to her heart.
At this mont, Lin Xing felt as if he could feel each and every heartbeat from her, as though his body and her heart were connected.
“Lin Xing?”
Lin Xing looked up to see Jing Shiyu, who had opened her eyes at so unknown ti, frowning slightly, gazing at him with a pained expression.
Lin Xing’s pupils dilated wildly as if endless darkness had completely swallowed his eyes.
The whole world seed to spin around him.
Lin Xing felt as though he could no longer move, speak, or even breathe…
The world turned into countless twisted, jumping lines.
He violently held his head but then found himself dissolving into an incoherent jumble of colors, which then loudly collapsed and shattered.
With this collapse, scenes from the past rapidly appeared before Lin Xing.
Upon seeing one of them, he reached out on instinct to grab it.
When Lin Xing ca to his senses again, he found himself standing in a hotel room.
He looked up to see Jing Shiyu sitting at the hotel’s desk, working on a computer.
Yiyi was lying on a nearby bed, scrolling through her phone.
Lin Xing recalled that this was the night before the incident in New Ke City, and it was also the last ti he had seen Jing Shiyu with his own eyes.
Just then, a voice sounded from inside him: “It’s done!”
That was Little Lin Xing’s voice.
Lin Xing felt his consciousness starting to blur again, with mories from both sides influencing each other.
He clutched his head, trying to expel this interference, but not only did he fail to do so, he was recalling more and more ancient mories, more and more he hadn’t noticed in the past.
“I don’t know when it started, but no matter what I did, no matter who I killed, or who tortured , I couldn’t generate enough resentnt in my heart.”
“Without strong resentnt, it beca increasingly difficult to freely return to the past.”
“Finally, I thought of a way.”
“I need to create a version of myself with no past mories, then control him, tornt him to generate resentnt and help return to the past.”
“Shi Lin Temple was willing to help .”
“Ha, of course I knew those baldies had no good intentions; they wanted to trick into becoming soone else.”
“No matter, it makes things even more interesting.”
Thinking this, Lin Xing burst out laughing: “Ha ha ha ha, you baldies!
I, your grandpa, have won!”
