The factory suddenly fell silent; gossip is a universal human nature.

Watanabe Shun was more familiar with Fushimi Roku than others. He was utterly shocked upon hearing this, as it was the first ti he’d heard Fushimi Roku sincerely apologize... He still vividly rembered that last ti, Fushimi Roku reported him for drinking and slacking off at work in front of Kujo Yua! To this day, he hadn’t heard Fushimi Roku say ’pardon my French’ even once!

Could it be that these two are in love?

Watanabe Shun furrowed his brow, sensing that things were not that simple.

anwhile, Minamoto Tamako’s eyes lit up, like gems washed by tears. She responded with a soft "hmm," offering no comnt, waiting quietly for Mr. Fushimi to continue.

Fushimi Roku knew perfectly well that there was no way to bluff his way through this; he could only turn around and say openly to the believers: "I apologize, I deceived you all."

"From the very beginning, I never believed in so-called superpowers... Otomo-kun, when I said I joined because I believed in you, it was actually a lie."

"That’s right, everyone, I never actually believed in the Aum Truth Sect; all the scriptures and doctrines were fabricated by ... If you took the ti to read a few more philosophy books, you’d notice that I frequently borrowed famous quotes from others."

"As a criminal police officer on duty, I condoned the illegal and criminal activities happening before , and even exploited the oppression you suffered, supposedly saving you all in the na of justice, but in truth for my personal gain... I should have called for reinforcents imdiately and reported to the police, rather than going along with things and continuing to instill extre thoughts in you."

"The guilt of today’s events falls on ."

"If you judge actions without considering intentions, it becos an excuse. Father’s teachings from my childhood urge sincerity towards others, yet I forgot his instructions, and it truly burdens my conscience."

"Here, I extend my sincere apologies to all of you and solemnly declare that the so-called miracles and superpowers do not exist. I will formally withdraw from the Aum Truth Sect and never engage in religion-related work again."

After speaking, Fushimi Roku glanced at Minamoto Tamako, his expression seeming to ask, ’Are you satisfied now?’ The latter looked a bit embarrassed, clasping her hands together and pouting as she looked away.

Fushimi Roku sighed helplessly, leaned closer to her ear, and in a lowered voice said, "Let’s separate business from personal matters; we’ll discuss the argunt and disappearance at ho, alright?"

Only then did Minamoto Tamako nod. She wiped her tears ssily, feeling quite heavy-hearted. With Mr. Fushimi speaking like this, she couldn’t pursue the matter further; it felt similar to when her mama would spank her as a child, then call her to eat dinner.

She whispered, "I always knew that deep down, Fushimi-kun is actually a righteous person."

Fushimi Roku imdiately noticed the change in nonclature; Minamoto Tamako didn’t call him Mr. Fushimi, but Fushimi-kun instead... Initially, he thought Minamoto Tamako was holding a grudge and that this matter wouldn’t pass; subsequently, Fushimi Roku suddenly found those words oddly familiar, and after being montarily stunned, he instinctively said:

"Nonsense, isn’t this obvious?"

Minamoto Tamako made a ’hmph’ sound, seemingly a bit happy, yet as if still angry.

The believers finally ca to their senses; the go-ho crowd applauded and cheered, while the fanatic faction erupted into curses, and the two sides imdiately started to argue. Seeing it was about to escalate to physical conflict, Fushimi Roku struck a katana handle onto the floor, stabbing through the tatami with a bang.

"Ladies and gentlen, don’t forget my proposal." His tone carried an undeniable authority.

The crowd suddenly quieted down, everyone exchanging glances in silence. Minamoto Tamako sensed sothing was off, furrowing her little brow again, staring at Fushimi Roku, suspecting he was hiding sothing else.

Fushimi Roku pretended not to notice and whistled at Watanabe Shun, who promptly snapped back to reality, pulling Minamoto Tamako away from the factory with force, driving to an area with signal to call for backup.

When the criminal police arrived at the factory area, the believers surprisingly did not resist, sitting ekly in the cafeteria, waiting for Fushimi Roku to start serving als.

Master Posthumous left quite a bit of high-end ingredients, along with several boxes of rare red wine; now these common people’s resources all went into the believers’ bellies... Everyone had a very cheerful last al, even the fanatical followers were wholeheartedly focused on eating.

Arakawa District’s police force was insufficient, Kinosaki Shoujin detected the scent of credit, proactively filing for cross-district assistance, claiming that Feng Island Police officers were urgently pursuing a criminal syndicate.

The chief filled in the filing report afterwards, claiming that the Feng Island police had been investigating and cracking down on the cult gang all along, having sent an elite criminal officer to infiltrate the sect... To enhance credibility, the chief employed a ’Ti-Space Reversal Technique,’ dating the filing report over a month earlier, with the seal still wet, but indeed, it took effect over a month ago.

Minamoto Tamako collaborated on the investigation and, upon learning of this, went to question the chief that very evening. The latter claid to have secretly docunted a case for Minamoto Tamako initially but hadn’t told her to avoid negative impacts.

Minamoto Tamako didn’t understand the intricacies, thinking the chief was genuinely thoughtful, and believed that the whole police station was silently aiding in finding Mr. Fushimi, while she remained oblivious, even blaming the chief; in hindsight, it was utterly inappropriate... Though she always felt sothing was slightly amiss, surely the official filing report couldn’t be fabricated, right?

The believers were highly cooperative; they split into two groups, ’guilty’ and ’not guilty.’

Guilty believers casually admitted to their cris, claiming they were the ones who killed the Master Posthumous in the sect, including the branch manager Grand Master Asano Yoshi, acknowledging several old cases pointed out by the police without even looking, helping solve many cold cases for the police departnt.

Their sole condition for pleading guilty was that after the court conviction, they would serve ti at a designated prison.

Innocent followers tearfully lanted, detailing the oppression experienced within the sect, claiming their daily activities were only ditation and scripture recitation, without engaging in any criminal acts... After a perfunctory investigation, the police simply released them to go ho.

Afterward, the police also discovered bodies of the Inakawa Association mbers in the factory area. Due to the train fight case, Feng Island police intended to turn a blind eye, and Kinosaki Shoujin personally issued a warning, stating this wouldn’t be tolerated again.

The case didn’t harm civilians; it targeted the criminal elents while rescuing nurous believers unlawfully imprisoned. The police seized a large amount of stolen money in the factory’s darkroom, along with evidence of cris committed by Asano Yoshi and his accomplices... It was undoubtedly an irrefutably solid case, a free achievent.

After reporting the case details, the Aum Truth Sect headquarters quickly distanced themselves, claiming ignorance of the Tokyo branch’s situation, stating the sect wasn’t involved in any illegal activities, and attributing everything to Asano Yoshi’s personal actions.

As for Fushimi Roku, all believers unanimously declared him innocent. When the police inquired about the deaths of the sect’s key mbers, a dozen enthusiastic followers rushed to confess to the cris... Given that Fushimi Roku was undercover for investigation, being a colleague, and lacking any complainant, the police station did not pursue him any further.

Notably, Horie Kei was arrested for killing soone in broad daylight, prior to imprisonnt, urging his mother and sister to live well. Shirakawa Miki smiled mysteriously, hugging her daughter’s shoulder through the glass window, saying:

"We will, we will all be reborn."
