At the sa mont, the three people’s minds raced.

Fushimi Roku was thinking, if Kazama Chihi was coming for him, why didn’t she make a move in the train car just now? Why wait until they entered the restroom to knock on the door? Could it be that she still wants to play the role of the ’neighborly big sister’? What an elegant interest...

Minamoto Tamako was thinking, why is Sister Chihi also on the train? Could she really be the leader of the Heavenly Punishnt Group? Maybe Sister Chihi is pretending to be a victim to escape the police’s encirclent, using others’ sympathy to deceive them. She’s seen this plot often on TV and in novels...

Taira Sakurako was thinking, should she eat the orange or not? Fushimi Roku didn’t take the orange with him when he left his seat; can it be considered voluntarily abandoned? Since it’s abandoned, she could pick it up and it would beco her property, right?

Their brainstorming session lasted less than two seconds in total.

Fushimi Roku and Minamoto Tamako exchanged glances, silently understanding each other, planning to open the door to see what was happening first. If soone outside pointed a gun at the door, they wouldn’t even have a place to run.

With a click, Minamoto Tamako disengaged the lock and opened the door slightly. Kazama Chihi was standing outside, wearing a white down jacket, looking nervous and uneasy.

Fushimi Roku shifted slightly, looked at her through the crack, and breathed a slight sigh of relief.

"Ah! Tamako, Mr. Fushimi... what are you doing here?" Kazama Chihi looked surprised, not faking it, as she glanced back now and then, her voice trembling, "They’re coming; can you let in to hide for a bit...?"

Minamoto Tamako, despite her doubts, wasn’t the type to refuse help, opened the door, and said, "Co in quickly! Don’t be too afraid; those guys seem to be targeting only the Yakuza."

After saying that, Minamoto Tamako poked her head out, looked around, and found that both compartnts’ doors were open, with no sign of the Heavenly Punishnt Group or the police. There were about a dozen mafia mbers lying askew in the carriage, blood pooling in the aisle, a few glass windows shattered, and the wind and snow howled in, echoing through the empty train car.

Huh, where are the people?

Minamoto Tamako grew increasingly uneasy, retreating into the restroom, struggling to close the sliding door.

The restroom was already small, and squeezing three people was barely manageable. Now, with another full-figured big sister joining in, they were packed like sardines.

Fortunately, Fushimi Roku had the foresight to occupy the throne. Even so, so bodily contact was unavoidable; Kazama Chihi leaned against his left side, her heavy chest pressing against his shoulder;

Minamoto Tamako was crouched at his right leg, looked up to see Sister Chihi, and was shocked, deeply affected by the sight of her looking up at soone like a high mountain. Her nose twitched, and she seed to catch a familiar scent from Sister Chihi, a faint citrus sll coming from her pocket.

Taira Sakurako blinked, leaning against the door, her eyes scanning the three of them, observing their strange postures.

The atmosphere was a bit awkward.

Just hiding wasn’t a solution; after a mont of silence, Minamoto Tamako cald down, suggesting they take the initiative to investigate outside.

Fushimi Roku agreed, but the two had a disagreent over which direction to investigate: Minamoto Tamako wanted to head towards the left compartnt to find Yougetsu Tsubaki; Fushimi Roku wanted to go to the right compartnt to see if the Heavenly Punishnt Group and the investigative departnt had started fighting.

As they argued, Kazama Chihi raised her hand and gently interrupted, "Um... are you talking about a girl in an old-fashioned brown checkered sweater?"

"Yes, that’s her!" Minamoto Tamako tried to straighten up but felt her head would hit, so she kept an awkward posture and said, "Sister Chihi, did you see her?"

"I ran into her on my way here... She was running towards the right compartnt, saying that the police were gathering at the front of the train..." Kazama Chihi said.

"Is that so? Great, she’s still alive."

Minamoto Tamako breathed a sigh of relief, then couldn’t help asking, "Sister Chihi, why are you also on the train? Where are you heading?"

"I’ve been bothered by too many things lately, planning to go out to relieve stress." Kazama Chihi sighed, looking mournful, like a recently widowed beautiful widow.

Minamoto Tamako thought this was too coincidental, wasn’t it? The sa day, the sa train, it’s like a chocolate mom opening the door for chocolate—full of coincidences!

But she had no concrete evidence, so even if she doubted a little, she couldn’t say it aloud.

Mr. Fushimi didn’t flirt with Sister Chihi any further; this ti, he was serious. Since everyone had the sa goal, it was better not to delay. They should first return to the left compartnt to get weapons, then check the right side to see the situation.

Minamoto Tamako had completely forgotten this point; there were gang mbers’ guns on the ground—it would be a waste not to pick them up.

The four quietly left the restroom cubicle. Minamoto Tamako forced herself to stay calm, ignoring the corpses, bent down, and picked up a pistol—it was illegal possession of firearms, after all, she confiscated it!

Then, she removed all the magazines from identical pistols and stuffed them into her little pocket. They were heavy, pulling down the hem of her clothes.

Fushimi Roku opened his backpack and took out a pipe wrench, put on a safety helt, and slipped the steel balls into his pocket. Once ready, he turned his head and saw Minamoto Tamako still stalling, taking bullets from other magazines and slipping them into her skirt pocket.

"What are you doing?" Fushimi Roku asked.

"Gathering bullets! Haven’t you seen any TV series? The scariest thing in a shootout is running out of bullets halfway; you must take more bullets to be prepared."

Having said that, Minamoto Tamako realized she had taken too much, and the skirt’s elastic couldn’t support the weight of the bullets, constantly slipping down. She had to lift the hem of her jacket and grip the edge of her skirt to keep it from falling.

Darn it! Should’ve worn track pants!

anwhile, Kazama Chihi stood at the compartnt door, hesitating, afraid to approach the bodies. Fushimi Roku picked up a tachi from the ground and handed it over backwards, saying, "Aren’t you good at swordsmanship? Take it for self-defense."

"Ah, yes."

Kazama Chihi accepted the tachi, holding it with both hands in front of her, maintaining a defensive stance, looking like a novice wielding a sword for the first ti.

Taira Sakurako was also ready; she put on her "Escape Special · Tactical Edition Box," with cushioning leather pads inside the box and an aged look outside, covered in tape and a shipping label.

Once lying there quietly, no one would notice, essentially a survival artifact. Following horror movie tropes, the most inconspicuous little girl often survives to the end and might even appear in the sequel to guide a new group of protagonists.

Minamoto Tamako reluctantly discarded the excess bullets. After loading, she fired two test shots to confirm the gun was fine, then waved her hand and seriously said:

"Deduction Squad, move out!"
