Abashiri Prison was built in 1805, and from that period onwards, it continually housed various serious criminals.

Even to this day, Abashiri Prison remains the place where serious criminals in Hokkaido are incarcerated.

Usually, the prison and its surroundings were quite deserted.

Today, it seed unusually bustling.

The roaring sound of helicopters broke the silence of the area, and flocks of helicopters, like crows returning to their nest, emitted an oppressive force akin to a ferocious tiger descending a mountain.

The warden of Abashiri Prison was completely baffled by this.

Not long ago, the prison's internet suddenly went down, abruptly terminating the one-on-one video call he had paid for. The sweet, cooing "Daddy" had aroused him, but the screen going black imdiately deflated him. Cursing, he was pulling up his pants, not yet having found out the reason, when he received news that all the serious criminals had disappeared from their cells.

Because there was no signal inside the prison, he planned to go outside to contact his superiors. Just then, military transport helicopters crossed the pitch-black night and arrived in front of Abashiri Prison.

One by one, the helicopters landed on the open ground outside.

The warden noticed that all the people disembarking were invariably white people from Europe or Arica, or Black people; there was not a single Japanese person among them.

They were fully ard.

A tall Caucasian man, clearly one of their leaders, approached and said in heavily accented Japanese, "This prison, as of now, is requisitioned by our Mountain Tiger unit. Everyone must evacuate imdiately!"

"Excuse ."

The warden wanted to speak up, to state that without orders from above, he could not abandon his post.

SMACK! Sammy slapped him directly across the face, bellowing, "Stop your blathering and get out of here now!"

"Yes, sir!"

The warden quickly stood at attention. I'm furious at Sammy's domineering attitude, he thought, yet sohow I feel an overwhelming need to resolutely carry out his order. If I keep babbling, they'll surely kill .

The warden imdiately led the prison staff in evacuating the premises, not even leaving behind a cook.

Sammy strode into the prison, pulled out his mobile phone to check it, and just as at Black Hive Prison, a strong signal was interfering with communication devices.

I hope that when we enter the Different World, this disruptive signal won't be present, Sammy thought. Otherwise, our temporary communication devices and drones will be rendered ineffective. That would make our operation more troubleso.

With these thoughts, Sammy stopped in front of the prison cells.

The n of Mountain Tiger had already unloaded various ammunition and survival supplies from the transport helicopters.

Among the survival supplies were even coffee and pots for boiling water, along with solar photovoltaic power generation devices.

For the U.S. Army, they were not cowards who clung to life, but if they had to stay in a place with extrely harsh conditions without a hot cup of coffee or tea, it would undoubtedly be very difficult for the officers to endure. Death isn't scary. What's scary is living without a hot cup of coffee to drink.

If conditions allowed, they naturally brought along items for comfort and enjoynt; so essential living equipnt was also indispensable.

According to Emily's description, so places in the Different World were rich in supplies, while others were barren wastelands where not even a blade of grass grew.

Considering all situations, they brought 15 days' worth of living supplies and dical items, as well as a large stockpile of ammunition, including but not limited to white phosphorus bombs, Thermal Bombs, cluster bombs, and Poison Gas Bombs.

Vehicles obviously couldn't enter the cell block, so they switched to using hand-pulled carts to carefully bring in box after box of ammunition.

Sammy stood to the side, watching as the soldiers of Mountain Tiger entered the cells. I definitely won't be the first to enter the Different World, he decided. Let the others take the lead.

About 500 n entered the Different World.

Sammy didn't stand still any longer and walked briskly inside. Lingering to be the last to enter wouldn't be seen as a commander's prudence, but as cowardice, he thought. I can't afford to seem like a coward in front of the Mountain Tiger soldiers; I must maintain the tough stance expected of a hawkish military officer.

As Sammy stepped through the translucent mbrane, he felt a brief wave of dizziness. Before he could fully register the sensation, he was already standing on the soil of the Different World.

They were lucky; they hadn't arrived in an absolutely desolate place. There was grass around them, and tall trees too. The unfamiliar trees appeared exceptionally tall, about 20 to 30 ters, with trunks so thick that four adults couldn't link arms around them. It looked like a vast forest.

The soldiers who had arrived earlier had already set up a defensive position. The drones that had been on the carts were gone.

Richard, the actual field commander of the Mountain Tiger unit, stepped forward and reported loudly, "Brigadier General Sammy, based on our drone reconnaissance, there is a village 900 ters to the northwest. The prisoners from Abashiri Prison are confronting the villagers. Judging by the atmosphere, it's only a matter of ti before a fight breaks out. Shall we go take a look?"

Sammy pondered for a mont, then said, "We ca here to establish diplomatic relations with Milante, collect books, Monster corpses, and bring back so plant specins. Send soone to that small village to ask if this area is within Milante's territory."

"David, take two n and go check it out."

"Yes, sir."

Upon receiving the order, David called over two n he knew well, and they quickly ran in the direction of the village.

Sammy continued to wait there for the rest of the Mountain Tiger unit to assemble.

「…」

The unexpected guests surprised Aozawa. He had assud mbers of the special task force would arrive, but instead, U.S. soldiers had personally taken the field.

Though, calling it unexpected isn't entirely accurate, he mused. Nothing on this Earth ever seems to happen without the United States stirring the pot. Listening to Brigadier General Sammy, they evidently want to et Griffith. They also want Monster corpses, plant seeds, and to take books back with them. What naïve dreams are they entertaining?

Aozawa sat on a park bench. He had just finished his night run, and sweat beaded on his forehead. He unscrewed a bottle of mineral water and took a long drink.

How should I deal with these U.S. soldiers? Aozawa pondered. With them here, I can deal with those felons first. What kind of Monster should I use Hypnosis to create in the Different Space to eliminate those prisoners?

Aozawa fell into deep contemplation and decided to create a Western-style Lizard Dragon. He began to use Hypnosis on the Different Space, envisioning a dragon particularly sensitive to prison uniforms, sketching its appearance in his mind.

「In the forest of the Different Space.」

Suddenly, ripples vibrated across a clearing, and a creature swiftly materialized, occupying the entire space.

It was over 10 ters in length and 7 or 8 ters in height, resembling a Lizard magnified many tis over, with a pair of huge wings sprouting from its back. Its surface was covered in glowing red Crystal Stones.

The Giant Dragon's body was like an expensive work of art forged from Diamond as it spread its wings.

"ROAR!" The Giant Dragon let out a bellow.

Aozawa watched the scene unfold with great enthusiasm, as if he were watching an intensely imrsive ani.

The Giant Dragon flapped its wings, and its seemingly ponderous body actually flew up, heading towards its destination.

「…」

David pushed aside hanging vines and squeezed through an archway ford by tree roots. Before him lay a village with a distinctly dieval style.

Low buildings were arranged in an orderly fashion. The serious criminals from Abashiri Prison were gathered at the village entrance, gesticulating wildly. A group of villagers, ard with pitchforks, warily watched the prisoners.

They were at a standoff.

David was about to step forward when a roaring sound filled the air. A helicopter? was his first thought.

"No, that's not it!" another soldier shouted.

David quickly looked in the direction of the sound.

CRASH!

Trees dozens of ters tall were shattered by a massive body. Wood splinters flew everywhere as the giant trees toppled, kicking up clouds of dust from the ground, yet the dust couldn't obscure the gleaming, Diamond-like body.

"AAH!" The villagers scread and scattered.

David's face was a mask of shock. Is this a dragon?

The Giant Dragon tilted its head back, a crystalline light brewing in its mouth.

David exclaid, "Dragon breath?!"

The Giant Dragon lowered its head and spewed forth gleaming, fiery red Crystal Pillars from its mouth.

BOOM! The bodies of dozens of prisoners were instantly shredded by the Crystal Pillars, and blood spattered everywhere. The impact of the remains hitting the ground was so strong it even made David sway.

The terrified villagers scattered and fled.

David's heart pounded wildly. I didn't expect to encounter such a Monster right off the bat!

The Giant Dragon's vertical pupils scanned those present. Finding no one in prison uniforms, it spread its wings, preparing to leave.

BOOM! A drone swooped in and dropped a high-explosive bomb on the Giant Dragon.

The resulting explosion didn't breach its defenses but interrupted its attempt to depart. "ROAR!" it bellowed.

David imdiately rembered. Our mission is to hunt such Monsters! As long as our weapons are effective, we have a chance of victory!

Slay the Giant Dragon! The thought instantly filled David with intense courage. In movies and stories, "dragon slayer" was always a title worthy of respect—a moniker only a hero could possess. For the U.S. Army, which revered individual heroism, this was an incredibly tempting idea.

David wanted to charge forward.

"David, co back! Guns can't breach its defenses!" his superior officer's command ca from a distance.

David's surging excitent was forcibly cooled, and he turned back.

The Giant Dragon scanned the drones buzzing in the air like flies, then gathered light in its mouth and spat out Crystal Pillars like machine-gun fire, destroying more than a dozen drones.

One drone evaded the Crystal Pillar attack and dived straight down.

CRASH! A loud sound resounded as the Giant Dragon's Crystal Stone surface showed cracks, with fiery red dragon blood seeping out.

Sammy observed this through binoculars and yelled, "Fire!"

The next second, a Thermal Bomb whistled through the air, too fast for the Giant Dragon to dodge. It struck the cracked fissure with perfect precision, not deviating in the slightest. This demonstrated the astonishing accuracy of whoever fired the Thermal Bomb.

BOOM!

An explosion generating temperatures of thousands of degrees Celsius erupted. The impact of the Thermal Bomb obliterated all the Crystal Stones on the Giant Dragon's surface, and its internal blood vaporized.

A visible secondary shockwave ford in the air, and thick condensation clouds rose upwards.

Witnessing half the Giant Dragon's body disappear, Aozawa had to admit, I've sowhat underestimated the destructive power of modern weapons. There's no helping it. I don't even know what type of bomb that was, only that its destructive power is terrifying. The Giant Dragon's purity was still too low, he sighed internally.
