Chapter 42: Chapter 42 Internal Assassination (Seek Follow-up Reads on Tuesday)_1
「Shinjuku, Okubo nursing ho.」
Through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the director’s office on the second floor, one could clearly see the lush green lawn outside, where elderly people on the verge of death sat on brown benches. Youthful caregivers wheeled so elderly, who sat dazed in wheelchairs, strolling along the cobblestone path on the lawn. The scene in the courtyard appeared exceptionally harmonious.
When Kemura Taro saw this, he felt extrely infuriated.
"Bastard! Bastard!" He pounded the desk in his office like an angry bull, recalling how he bowed at the press conference.
He felt unparalleled sha and indignation within.
In Japan, people can do bad things, but they cannot be caught doing them. Bowing at a press conference is an extrely shaful act.
His body trembled. He then leaned back and cursed angrily, "Damn Jiro, for causing
to lose face in public, you’re completely useless!"
GULP. The woman under the desk in front of him swallowed. Dressed in the kind of pale pink nurse outfit one might see in adult comics, she licked her lips and said, "Oh, Director~ Don’t be so an about my husband. You always know how to get
worked up."
Upon hearing the nurse’s words, Kemura Taro’s face cracked into a smile. "The best thing that guy ever did was marry you, this voluptuous beauty. I always told him to be careful and try to do things that are beyond reproach, allowing the nursing ho’s elderly to age and pass away naturally and legally. Now, with the dia breaking this scandal, I must keep a low profile, lest the police discover I’m using elderly corpses to cover up the laundering of organs from young people."
Kemura Taro ran the public nursing ho, wondering how to turn it into his personal treasure trove. He had devoted considerable effort to managing it. First, he had the elderly sign organ donor agreents while they were still alive. Then, they were transported to designated hospitals for the ’donation.’ Young people’s organs would then be used for transplants into wealthy clients, with the elderly’s donation providing a legal facade, forming an industrial chain. The process was troubleso, but if an incident occurred, it wouldn’t affect the reputations of his wealthy clients. That’s how his business had grown so significantly.
"Now that Jiro is destined for prison, I’ll have to rely on you, Director, for help in the future," the nurse said. Her eyes were full of seduction. She wrapped her arms around her chest, emphasizing her assets.
Kemura Taro suddenly felt reinvigorated.
The allure of a married woman, for him, was how possessing her showcased his power. diocre n had no right to steal another’s spouse; only the strong could commit such acts.
"Don’t speak."
Kemura Taro leaned back. The nurse, understanding his intent, moved closer and pressed her vibrant red lips to his, silencing him.
Kemura Taro reclined in his seat and sighed deeply. His thoughts still lingered on the press conference, and he remained sowhat dissatisfied.
What should he do next? Clients would surely adopt a wait-and-see approach. Suppliers, fearing the risk of being caught by the police, would also hesitate to maintain contact. He had no choice but to lay low for a while until this storm blew over.
As Kemura Taro mulled over his plans, he suddenly felt a twinge of pain and imdiately cursed, "Idiot! Are you so inexperienced little girl? Get serious!"
The nurse’s pupils dilated. She quickly freed her throat and exclaid in shock, "Who are you?"
Kemura Taro’s eyebrows knitted slightly as he turned his head towards the floor-to-ceiling window facing the courtyard. A young man stood there. A ray of sunlight shone through the glass onto his shoulder, contrasting starkly with the dark interior and making him appear distinctly bright and clear.
"You little brat! Who let you sneak in here?!"
Kemura Taro was furious. He got up from his seat, finding the young man particularly jarring.
He detested good-looking fellows.
Aozawa observed the degenerate pair. With his X-ray Ability, the organs within their bodies were laid bare before his eyes.
"Experience pain."
He didn’t say much more, just raised his hand.
CLICK. A gray filter rapidly enveloped the world before his eyes.
Kemura Taro and the nurse remained frozen, like statues.
Aozawa used Telekinesis to viciously squeeze Kemura Taro’s heart, tugged on his intestines, yanked the fragile nerves in his thigh, and finished with a crushing blow to his testicles.
These were the three Superpower combo techniques he had devised. Telekinesis could penetrate objects, as well as the human body. The premise was that he had to see it and have a specific target. Previously, Aozawa had only thought about using his X-ray Ability to look at others. Now, because he wanted to experint with various ways to use Ti Suspension, this idea had co to him. First, use Ti Suspension to give himself ample ti to attack an enemy’s vital spots with Telekinesis.
He ended the Ti Suspension.
The gray filter disappeared from the room. Kemura Taro, who had been about to mock whatever delusional "middle-schooler" had appeared talking about "experiencing pain," froze.
How could soone as rich and powerful as him ever experience pain?
"AHHH!" Before Kemura Taro could finish his thought, intense pain struck him, and he let out a ghastly scream. Unable to remain standing, he collapsed to the ground and curled up like a cooked shrimp. The simultaneous pain surging from his thigh, heart, abdon, and groin robbed him of the ability to speak.
The nurse stared at the scene before her, her pretty face turning pale with fright. She had no idea what had happened; she only knew that after the young man spoke, Kemura Taro beca incredibly agonized.
What was going on?!
Terrified, the nurse looked at Aozawa with tearful eyes. The three unbuttoned buttons on her blouse were her proudest weapon.
Aozawa glanced at her and said reassuringly, "Don’t worry. When I get serious, I don’t spare won either."
"No, please!" The nurse shook her head frantically. Her legs went weak, and she didn’t even have the strength to run.
Kemura Taro’s agonized howls continued to echo through the office.
Aozawa once again activated Ti Suspension. This ti, he didn’t hold back, using Telekinesis to destroy them from the inside.
Before him, with his Superpowers, humans were indeed fragile. If he had to describe it, it was like a walking human machine gun mowing down ordinary people—a completely one-sided slaughter.
...
「One o’clock in the afternoon.」
The Okubo Police Departnt received a report of a very serious murder case. Dozens of police cars roared out. When they arrived at the Okubo nursing ho, police tape already cordoned off the entrance. Officials were arranging for family mbers to pick up the elderly residents from inside. Many elderly people were left waiting outside, like wilting, unattended weeds.
Chief Oda wanted to pull a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, but considering the dia present, he suppressed his craving and quickly walked into the cri scene. An officer approached him to report, "Chief Oda, we’ve confird that everyone inside the nursing ho—the director, doctors, nurses, cooks... a total of thirty-six people—are all dead. There are no apparent external wounds, but they all vomited blood. It’s probably due to internal injuries. We’ll need to wait for the forensic pathologist’s assessnt."
Seeing no outsiders nearby, Chief Oda took out his cigarettes, pulled one out, and held it between his lips as he muttered, "Today, it’s just one murder after another in Shinjuku. Ugh, my luck is truly terrible."
