Tokyo tropolitan Police Departnt, Director General’s Office.

Aoyama Xiu Xin was handling business affairs.

"Knock knock knock!" Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

Without raising his head, he shouted, "Co in."

"Director General, sothing has happened. Just now, ard bandits attacked the police with assault rifles on the highway and fled in a car," Haruno Takashi said gravely.

"What?" Aoyama Xiu Xin was furious. That such lawless thugs still roam! He stood up imdiately, walking out while saying, "Notify everyone, eting."

In less than ten minutes, leaders from various departnts of the police headquarters gathered in the eting room. Aoyama Xiu Xin spoke succinctly, "Fifteen minutes ago, two bandits attacked two police officers on the highway using assault rifles. They have fled the scene by car. The bandits are driving a military-green off-road vehicle, license plate XXXX. Begin a city-wide manhunt, block all key transportation routes, notify surrounding counties and city police stations to assist in the investigation. If captured, authorized to shoot to kill."

"Yes!" Everyone imdiately stood up to respond.

"Inform at once with any updates." After throwing down this line, Aoyama Xiu Xin turned and left. Upon returning to his office, he reported the incident to the police departnt.

The sound of gunfire on the highway shattered the ordinary afternoon in Tokyo. Police forces from the entire city and surrounding counties mobilized, sirens echoed everywhere, and temporary roadblocks were set up along various key transportation routes.

anwhile, Smith and Allen had already passed Ota District and were about to enter Kawasaki City. But no matter how fast they drove, it was not faster than the telephone communication.

Half an hour after the case occurred, police cars from the Ota Police Station were deployed across the roads and naturally would not miss this road out of Tokyo.

"Damn it, Smith, there are police ahead."

Allen saw through the windshield the vehicles queued at the checkpoint and the flashing police lights in the distance, prompting Smith to make a decision.

Smith decisively said, "Turn around."

Allen turned the car around on the spot, but his conspicuous military-green vehicle imdiately attracted the checkpoint police officers to chase them.

Within three minutes of making the turn, several police cars could be seen roaring ahead, while two police cars from behind were getting closer and closer.

There were pursuers in front, fierce predators behind.

A dilemma.

"Smith, we’re done for. What now?"

Allen was sweating profusely, panicked.

"Stop the car, grab our gear, and head into the wilderness for guerrilla warfare with them," Smith said. anwhile, he was already grabbing the bag behind him, managing to stay calm.

Allen braked to a stop, turned off the engine, and imdiately grabbed the bag on the back seat. The two got out from opposite sides of the vehicle, one firing at police vehicles ahead, the other at those behind, while retreating to the wilderness nearby. The police were caught off guard, temporarily losing their ability to pursue.

Soon all the police officers disembarked, ard, and continued pursuing them into the wilderness. During the chase, both sides constantly exchanged fire. Smith even threw grenades, suppressing the small number of pursuers with superior firepower, retreating into an abandoned three-story house. The remaining police surrounded the house and relayed the information for reinforcents.

"Smith, what shall we do when we run out of bullets after hiding here?" Inside the building, Allen finally caught his breath and looked at Smith, asking.

Smith regretted a bit. When a bullet grazed his scalp earlier, he suddenly felt that prison wasn’t so unbearable.

He thought he wasn’t afraid of death, but when it truly threatened him, he realized he was indeed afraid.

But, surrendering now would an he faced not only charges like rape but also arrest and multiple severe offenses like killing a cop. Knowing that Lawrence couldn’t even shield him from the rape charges, there was no way he’d escape the others, likely spending his life behind bars.

After so thought, he licked his lips and replied, panting, "Kill as many as we can. It’s these punks who have pushed us to this point. Once the bullets are gone, we’ll surrender. It doesn’t matter if we surrender now or later, the result is life imprisonnt."

Defiant, yet not completely obstinate.

Exploiting their status as U.S. soldiers and Japan’s lenient laws, they decided to break the rules entirely.

"Had I known sleeping with that woman would cause such trouble, I’d have kept my zipper up," Allen said ruefully, then drew a deep breath before speaking again with renewed spirit, "However, you’re right. We’re in this ss now, so let’s vent by taking out a few of those little guys. It’s a chance to test our training; let’s compete to see who can kill more. The loser will have to handle al preparations and laundry in prison."

"An amusing ga, alright," Smith laughed and agreed, then added, "But before the contest, let’s rest well."

The police were waiting for reinforcents.

They, too, were recovering their strength, surveying the interior, setting up defenses, and finding the best positions for counterattacks, preparing to relish this showdown.

Upon hearing the bandits were trapped in a building, Aoyama Xiu Xin imdiately mobilized more police forces, and he personally rushed to the site, given such a dire case required his presence as the Director General.

Approximately half an hour later, hundreds of ard police encircled the small three-story building tightly. From a distance, it looked like a sea of black.

A group of commanders surrounded Aoyama Xiu Xin.

"Make an announcent," Aoyama Xiu Xin said with a stern expression.

"Listen up, inside. You are already..."

"Rat-a-tat-tat!"

The response to the police’s announcent was a volley of bullets.

Aoyama Xiu Xin said, "Imdiate assault."

Prepared smoke grenades and tear gas were fired, and when the smoke started billowing from the house, an assault team mber kicked the door down.

"Boom!"

Then ca a violent explosion.

Smith had rigged booby traps behind the door.

The team mber who kicked the door down died instantly, and two nearby mbers were wounded. Seeing this, the others quickly retreated with the injured and deceased.

"Damn you dwarfs, I am the US Army Captain Smith you want to capture. If you have the guts, co in. When my bullets and grenades run out on your corpses, I will surrender, hahahaha."

Smith shouted provocatively in English, revealing his identity to inform the police outside they were dealing with active Arican military personnel, making them hesitant to engage lethally.

If the police were shackled by their identity, their counterattack would beco a massacre.

"Director General..." Nakamura Shinichi and others, hearing this, looked at Aoyama Xiu Xin with grim expressions.

Though Aoyama Xiu Xin didn’t know why Smith appeared here, he knew his fate was sealed, looking at the bomb-killed subordinate, his face was as dark as water, "Go to the Yamakawa Family and get so grenades, then throw them inside to blow them up."

"Director General..." Nakamura Shinichi was shocked.

Aoyama Xiu Xin interrupted him, "These are bandits carrying grenades. It’s well known our police equipnt doesn’t include grenades, so no one can falsely accuse the police of purchasing grenades from the black market for law enforcent and blowing up criminals, right?"

Proving this would be trendously difficult.

"Yes!" Nakamura Shinichi knew once Aoyama Xiu Xin made his decision it couldn’t be changed, and such action was indeed satisfying, so he responded and left to attend to it.

Aoyama Xiu Xin coldly stared at the tattered building ahead, revealing a cruel smile.

If you think only you disregard the law.

You are rogue criminals.

But I am a rogue within the law.
