He walked out of the bar.
The wind and rain ahead hit him in the face, and after drenching his face, the slight drunken buzz vanished without a trace.
Aoyama Xiu Xin suddenly thought of a problem.
As his position rose higher in the future, bringing more and more disaster to Japan, wouldn’t there be so awakened Japanese who would kill him to let him "enjoy" the sa treatnt as Mr. Abe?
"Taking action against extremists is the right thing to do."
Aoyama Xiu Xin suddenly began to support Haruno Junji, for national security, they must strictly crack down on and deeply contain the developnt of extremist organizations!
When he would be in the Cabinet, even going to the bathroom would require him being followed by several people, after all, if he died, the Japanese would no longer enjoy his "blessings."
So, whether for himself or for the Japanese citizens, he needed to pay attention to his own safety.
"Ding-a-ling! Ding-a-ling!"
The ringing phone interrupted his wild thoughts.
"Speak, this is Aoyama Xiu Xin."
"Where have you been? Dad is looking for you, hurry back to the Police Headquarters," Asai Ayumi said displeasedly.
Aoyama Xiu Xin’s focus was different, as he walked toward his car, he asked, "Dad has co to the Police Headquarters?"
"We’re not married yet, don’t call him that," Asai Ayumi focused differently and said shyly.
Aoyama Xiu Xin chuckled and teased, "You often call ’daddy’ in bed, just returning the favor by calling your dad ’daddy,’ no worries, it’s only polite to reciprocate."
"Cough!" A stifled cough erupted.
Aoyama Xiu Xin froze, "Uncle is also there?"
Crap, no need to buy a marital house then.
He had just scraped together one suite, probably Asai Ayumi would scrape together another, so there would be two suites.
But he didn’t like using suites in the first place.
Elsewhere, in the office, Asai Ayumi with her face red and ears hot, her toes fumbling in her high heels, feeling both ashad and frustrated, did not dare to look at her father’s face and through gritted teeth said, "Co back soon, dad is waiting for you, go directly to the Deputy Director of Criminal Affairs’ office, dad has taken the job tonight on short notice."
"Hi!" Aoyama Xiu Xin hung up the phone.
Asai Ayumi lowered her head, looking at her toes, stood rooted to the spot for a while, her gaze flitting as she attempted an explanation, "He forced to call him that."
Though there were plenty of tis she called him that voluntarily.
"What did Xiu Xin say?" Asai Youki felt awkward at this mont too, having not expected his daughter to provide such an explanation, it only made things more awkward, so he imdiately diverted to a new topic.
At the sa ti, strategically taking a sip of water to cover his expression.
Asai Ayumi, so embarrassed she could bleed, her little fingers nervously picking at the phone, whispered shyly, "He said it would be more thrilling."
"Spit-cough! Cough cough!" Asai Youki choked on his drink, set down his cup and started coughing.
Asai Ayumi, forgetting her embarrassnt, quickly moved to gently pat his back, "Dad, are you alright?"
"I asked what he said in the phone just now." Asai Youki waved his hand to indicate he was fine.
These young people, so playful.
Gotta try this with the wife back ho.
"Ah?" Asai Ayumi realized she had misunderstood, once again embarrassingly put her hand over her face and said, "He said he would co back right away."
Damn Aoyama Xiu Xin, this jerk.
Ah! Today is so humiliating!
It’s a good thing she hadn’t ntioned over the phone about adopting her side tactics; otherwise, she’d really wish she could die.
About ten minutes later, a knock on the door sounded.
"Knock knock knock!"
"Co in," Asai Youki called.
Aoyama Xiu Xin pushed the door open, "Police Chief!"
Further up there was the Police Director General.
"Um." To Aoyama Xiu Xin, referring to his superiors as plant nas during working hours, Asai Youki was quite pleased.
Asai Ayumi stared at Aoyama Xiu Xin, trying to see signs of embarrassnt on his face, but the guy was unruffled, as if he didn’t know her dad was aware of their little bedroom quirks.
In the departnt of shalessness, he truly was shaless.
"Ayumi, go and attend to your work," Asai Youki said.
Asai Ayumi nodded, turned, and as she passed Aoyama Xiu Xin, she gave him a fierce reproachful glare.
Aoyama Xiu Xin didn’t even look at her.
Once the door was closed, Asai Youki asked Aoyama Xiu Xin to take a seat, then said, "I know you and Fujimoto Ryosuke are on good terms, but he has committed a grave offense this ti, make sure you don’t get involved."
He also never expected Fujimoto Ryosuke would directly wipe out the Kitanohara family, indeed, plans never keep up with changes, no one can predict everything.
That was sothing only gods could do.
"Hi! No worries, Police Chief, I still know what’s more important," Aoyama Xiu Xin solemnly assured.
But if he could help, he wouldn’t mind helping his good friend Fujimoto Ryosuke escape capture.
Asai Youki pondered for a mont and said, "If Fujimoto Ryosuke contacts you, you must tell imdiately, if we can’t capture him, not only will the entire police lose face, but the entire country will be ridiculed too."
He was now afraid that if Fujimoto Ryosuke was captured, it would be best to kill him; otherwise, if he was captured and revealed the killing of Iihara Aiko, the truth might co to light, which would be unfavorable for him and Iihara He.
"Hi!" Aoyama Xiu Xin responded again.
Asai Youki waved his hand to indicate he may go.
Aoyama Xiu Xin bowed and then turned to leave.
At the sa ti, the National Security Agency.
"Two bodyguards, one North Country person, one from the Soviet Union... now it should be called Russia, tonight he t with two foreigners again and is secretly involved with subpri loans, a plundering and murderous thing, this guy is definitely problematic!"
Looking at the series of intelligence on Aoyama Xiu Xin gathered urgently before him, Haruno Junji’s gaze was piercing; it seed Aoyama Xiu Xin was not only a mber of so extremist organization but was also supported by external forces.
"Knock knock knock!" The knock on the door echoed.
Haruno Junji said, "Co in."
"Section Chief, Aoyama Xiu Xin’s eting tonight with those two individuals has been confird. They are Richard, the head of the Arican CIA’s Japan team, and his assistant, Annie." One of the subordinates walked in and reported to Haruno Junji.
Haruno Junji gritted his teeth, annoyed by the involvent of the Aricans. Isn’t this guy just a minor police officer? It’s as if they’re forming the United Nations around him!
"Dingling-ling! Dingling-ling!"
The telephone on the desk suddenly rang.
"Moshi moshi... Hi!" Haruno Junji answered the phone and instantly stood up, bowing repeatedly and respectfully, "Hi! Hi! I understand!"
After hanging up, his face darkened as he slamd the receiver down, "No need to investigate Aoyama Xiu Xin anymore."
Because soone above had pressured him.
As for the reason, he was told it involved secrets that couldn’t be disclosed to him. It was a dismissive excuse, but even being dismissed was a sign of face-saving; he couldn’t afford to be unwise.
"Hi!" The subordinate turned and left to pass on the ssage.
Haruno Junji felt unwilling but powerless.
He looked down at a photo of Aoyama Xiu Xin, whose smile was radiant as if mocking him.
Haruno Junji clenched his fist and smashed it down hard.
"Bang!"
Ouch—his hand hurt.
.........
Murder was a spur-of-the-mont decision.
Therefore, the act was executed smoothly.
But because there was no plan, Fujimoto Ryosuke now had no money and no idea where to run.
One thing he was certain of was that he had to leave tonight, or once the rain stopped at dawn, his wanted notices would spread nationwide, making escape much more difficult.
Hidden in an abandoned building, Fujimoto Ryosuke checked his belongings: two full magazines and over thirty bullets, along with more than fifty thousand yen.
He thought it over. Leaving from Tokyo was impossible because all the checkpoints and roadblocks there would be extrely tight. He needed to get out of Tokyo first.
And he wouldn’t be able to pass through the Tokyo checkpoints on his own, he needed soone to help him.
Fujimoto Ryosuke thought of Aoyama Xiu Xin.
Even though seeking help might involve him.
And he wasn’t sure if Aoyama Xiu Xin would agree to help.
But he decided to try anyway, as if there was any chance, he didn’t want to be caught by the police.
If he couldn’t escape, he would turn himself in to Aoyama Xiu Xin.
Fujimoto Ryosuke went out to the street and found a public phone to call Aoyama Xiu Xin’s office number.
"Moshi moshi."
Aoyama Xiu Xin grabbed the phone and answered.
"It’s Fujimoto Ryosuke."
Aoyama Xiu Xin’s face changed, he first went to lock the door, then ca back and picked up the receiver, asking anxiously, "Mr. Liangyi, why are you doing this?"
"I can’t explain it in a few words. The previous call was ant as a farewell, but now I need your help," Fujimoto Ryosuke said apologetically.
Aoyama Xiu Xin remained silent.
He had considered helping Fujimoto Ryosuke escape, but it was risky. Was it worth doing?
Fujimoto Ryosuke waited for a while and then said, "Of course, if you have concerns, I can understand."
"How do you want to help?"
"Help leave Tokyo, I’ll handle the rest on my own. If I can’t make it, I’ll co to you and turn myself in."
"Just this number, wait for my call." Aoyama Xiu Xin decided to help, as it was just about getting him out of Tokyo and nothing too complicated; besides, a person should have friends they could rely on during life and death situations.
Today, he helped Fujimoto Ryosuke, believing that one day Fujimoto Ryosuke could help him return to Tokyo.
Fujimoto Ryosuke hadn’t expected Aoyama Xiu Xin to actually agree, and after a mont of silence, he said, "Thank you."
After hanging up, Aoyama Xiu Xin went out and used a public phone to call Suzuki Junko and ask her to et.
He definitely couldn’t escort Fujimoto Ryosuke himself nor could anyone close to him, as leaving Tokyo at this ti would raise suspicions.
But Suzuki Junko didn’t seem to have deep ties with him on the surface, and as a Prosecutor with a father who was Deputy Director of Prosecution, she would likely not be suspected.
Whether Suzuki Junko would help or not, Aoyama Xiu Xin believed she would, considering he was sowhat her ntor in her career path and knew her well enough.
Twenty minutes later, they t in a park.
Suzuki Junko held an umbrella, "With such a big issue going on, instead of catching Fujimoto Ryosuke, you sneakily call to such a secluded place, what are you thinking?"
"I want you to help rescue Fujimoto Ryosuke," Aoyama Xiu Xin got straight to the point, as there was no ti to beat around the bush.
Suzuki Junko widened her eyes in shock, "Are you crazy?"
"I’m perfectly sane, only you can help ," Aoyama Xiu Xin said seriously.
Suzuki Junko asked, "But why should I help you? You know the risks involved."
"Because he’s a good person, and so are you. Although you’ve compromised with reality now, I believe you wouldn’t want to see a good man who dares to pull a gun on a bureaucrat end up in prison," Aoyama Xiu Xin said.
Suzuki Junko scoffed, "Don’t try to flatter , you taught to be rational, and my rationality tells not to get involved in such dangerous matters."
She paused, then changed her tone, "However..."
"However what? Say it, whatever condition you have, I’ll agree," Aoyama Xiu Xin quickly responded.
"It’s not impossible," Suzuki Junko looked at Aoyama Xiu Xin with a teasing glint in her eye and a smirk, "You owe a favor, and you can’t refuse when I need help in the future. Also, you have to repeat what you made do in the stairwell last ti, on ."
Aoyama Xiu Xin could understand the first part, but as for the latter, "Are you sure that’s not a reward for ?"
"Do you agree or not?" Suzuki Junko asked, her charming face blushing slightly under the night sky.
Kneeling down to perform that act for Aoyama Xiu Xin was the biggest humiliation of her life; she had to return the favor tooth for tooth!
"Okay!" Aoyama Xiu Xin readily agreed.
It’s just eating fish, and it’s not like he hasn’t eaten it before.
After all, who wouldn’t like to eat fresh, soft, steaming fish without bones?
