Chapter 522: Chapter 306: Go Back (second update)_2

There was no cafeteria on the first floor, and a few plainly-dressed engineers were gathered together eating boxed lunches. One of them was talking while eating, and beca so animated when he reached an exciting point that Randyck furrowed his brows.

After acquiring Fang Cheng Studio, the first one to be cut will be this guy.

He straightened his tie and put on his na badge before stepping forward to ask, “Where’s your boss? I’ve got a eting scheduled with him.”

Gao Tianyun, who was in the midst of an enjoyable conversation, stopped and looked at Randyck with confusion after hearing Leon’s translation, “I don’t have any appointnts today.”

“I’m here to et your boss?”

“I am the boss.”

...

Looking at Gao Tianyun, who was clearly an engineer, Randyck snorted with disdain in his heart.

The taste of Huaxia people… really not good.

There were rumors on the internet that the boss of Fang Cheng Studio was extraordinary and radiant, but he hadn’t expected him to look like this.

Still, he extended his hand in a friendly manner, saying to Gao Tianyun, “Okay, I’m here to discuss an acquisition. Don’t be in a rush to refuse; I’ll offer you a figure that you can’t refuse.”

“But I’m not interested in being acquired. Besides, I don’t fully own the shares.”

“You’d better think this over; I represent Druid Entertainnt.”

“Well, I’m still the boss of Kirin Industry.”

After hearing Leon’s translation, Randyck asked with confusion, “Isn’t this Fang Cheng Studio?”

“Third floor, you’re in the wrong place.”

“… Oh.”

Even soone with thick skin like Randyck felt a bit embarrassed at this point.

anwhile, Leon’s suppressed laughter could be heard from behind him.

Feeling awkward as he went up to the third floor, Randyck took a while to calm his emotions. After walking into the correct place, he was shocked by the size of the studio.

There are too few people!

The entire office had fewer than ten people, each engrossed in their screens, not even noticing his arrival.

It wasn’t until the impossibly beautiful receptionist led them into the visitors’ lounge that the sound of the door opening caught the attention of the people outside.

A tall, thin young man looked up and saw Randyck through the open door, then called out in question, “Randyck?”

Pleased at being recognized, Randyck nodded with satisfaction and said in English, “Indeed, would you like an autograph?”

As Leon was about to translate, Xiao Douzi asked with a frown, “How co you’re not dead yet?”

Huang Ping tugged at him and whispered, “Don’t say that.”

“Oh, then how co you’re still alive?”

“No, what I an is, he’s from North Arica, and doesn’t understand Chinese. You have to speak English.”

“Sorry, I’ll correct that imdiately.”

As Xiao Douzi was pondering the filthiest insults in English, Leon had already closed the door with an expressionless face.

Looking bewildered, Randyck asked Leon, “What are you doing? It’s rare for to encounter a fan; giving him a little treat helps foster my down-to-earth image.”

“If you want to live to make it back, you’ll have to listen to .”

After waiting for a while in the visitors’ lounge, the door was finally opened.

The instant he saw Fang Cheng, Randyck took a sharp breath.

The reputation was well-deserved!

If I had those looks, would I need to sche for money every day? My fans would bring it to on their own every day!

I could fire the entire ga project team, buy any trash ga, slap my portrait on the cover, and if sales are below a million, it’s the photographer’s fault.

I wouldn’t even need a ga, just tweet “showthemoney” on Little Blue Bird and my fans would instantly understand my aning, then start sending money my way.

Thinking of those blissful and beautiful days, Randyck couldn’t help but smile foolishly.

Leon had to cough to interrupt Randyck’s daydream, then continued translating.

Randyck, snapped out of his fantasy, took one reluctant glance at Fang Cheng and imdiately got down to business.

He didn’t understand gas, but he knew how to read people.

His gaze swept over Fang Cheng’s face, his clothes, and his clean hands, trying to find so useful clues there.

Usually, a re glance was enough for him to understand what kind of person he was dealing with. He would find a leverage point and figure out the best way to handle it.

But today, he felt his usual discernnt had failed him.

The person in front of him was like an ancient well, calm and mysterious. His penetrating gaze seed to see through Randyck’s soul, letting him know they were not on the sa level.

No wonder he could produce so many gas; this young man was truly unfathomable.

Realizing his opponent was even more formidable than he had thought, Randyck imdiately changed his tactics and adopted an innocent expression.

He pulled up his chair, leaned forward, and managed his facial expression so well that he looked like a benign middle-aged man. Nobody could guess that at heart he was a rcenary capitalist.

Every bit of body language was ticulously designed; a series of actions made him seem more personable and more likely to win others’ favor.

“Mr. Fang Cheng,” Randyck said earnestly, “I have great admiration for Fang Cheng Studio’s gas, which is why I flew all the way from North Arica just to et you.”

Though Randyck spoke with sincere emphasis, Fang Cheng’s gaze remained fixed on Leon, who stood nearby.

Leon appeared rather ordinary, but his eyes were noteworthy. They looked weathered by life’s trials, yet he had not lost faith in life.
